Currently, e-commerce is changing from a digital twin to a metaverse world. The metaverse world is an intermediate form between virtual and real worlds and is operated as a coin-based meta-commerce. In this meta-commerce world, blockchain-based NFT coins are used when trading items (contents). In this study, we studied how to issue a large number of NFT coins (certification) rather than issuing a single type of NFT. The research method was designed to produce content layer-based and automatically create the desired quantity using a mass NFT index and automatic generation method. In this study, a layer overlap method (background, body, etc.) was used with a Phyton-based program for mass minting. As a result, it can be used as a blockchain-based certificate that can prove a group of many people. In addition, the content created with the NFT index was registered on the NFT sales site to confirm its utilization and value.

This study aims at designing standard metadata that can be incorporated for advanced utilization of damage prediction maps, and thereby constructing the standard meta-information management prototype system on the basis of the proposed design. Based on the ISO/TC 211 19115 international standard, which is considered as the most widely used standard (as per the results of a domestic and foreign metadata standard survey), the designing process for the standard metadata was established and the metadata was categorized into nine classes. Additionally, based on the output of the standard metadata design process, a standard meta-information management prototype system, capable of checking and downloading meta-property information, was constructed using the JAVASCRIPT language. By incorporating the obtained results, it is possible to maintain the quality of the constructed damage prediction map by establishing a standardized damage prediction map database. Furthermore, disaster response can be actuated through the provision and management of data for effective operation of the proposed damage prediction system.

Purpose: A systematic review and meta-analysis of nutrition educational intervention studies was performed to assess the association between nutrition education intervention and fruit & vegetable (F&V) preferences and nutrition knowledge in preschool children. Methods: The relevant studies of nutrition education intervention and F&V preferences and nutrition knowledge published from January 2000 to June 2020 were located using PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Research Information Sharing Service, Korean Studies Information Service System databases, and lists of references. A random-effects meta-analysis was conducted to estimate the standardized mean difference with a 95% confidence interval (CI). Subgroup analyses were performed to identify the association between nutrition education and F&V preferences and nutrition knowledge. Results: The results show that the effect sizes (ES) of F&V preferences and nutrition knowledge of preschool children were 0.31(95% CI, 0.23, 0.39), and 1.69(95% CI, 1.27, 2.12), respectively. The result of subgroup analysis, nutrition education focused on F&V (F&V preferences, ES: 0.32; nutrition knowledge, ES: 2.09) presented a slightly larger effect than general nutrition education (F&V preferences, ES: 0.26; nutrition knowledge, ES: 1.62). As for the type of exposure to F&V, direct exposure education (F&V preferences, ES: 0.40) had a greater effect than indirect exposure (F&V preferences, ES: 0.26). This meta-analysis showed that nutrition education intervention had positive effects on the F&V preferences and nutrition knowledge in preschool children. Conclusion: In conclusion, from the meta-analysis and subsequent subgroup analysis, we found that varied types of nutrition education intervention had varying effects on F&V preferences and nutrition knowledge in preschool children.
Meta-evaluation for national R&D programs should be established within the framework of whole R&D system linked with science and technology needs and objectives. The R&D program evaluation system can be understood as a circulation of input, implementation, output, and utilization. In the result of the Delphi survey, which consisted of twenty-four experts (performed in three rounds), twenty-four indices were developed. The meta-evaluation model included sub-items which were important points of view of it as follow (eight items): propriety of planning, sufficiency of information, and propriety of evaluators in evaluation input; appropriateness of method and appropriateness of procedure in evaluation implementation; credibility of output in evaluation output; and usefulness of report and application of evaluation utilization. As the application of the meta-evaluation model, the total mean was lower than 3.0 of the median value of 2.73 (5 point Likert scale). Finally, it was suggested that the feedback of evaluation results should be more enforced to R&D program improvement particularly (evaluation utilization 2.50).
Meta-analysis refers to quantitative methods for combining results from independent studies in order to draw overall conclusions. Hierarchical models including selection models are introduced and shown to be useful in such Bayesian meta-analysis. Semiparametric hierarchical models are proposed using the Dirichlet process prior. These rich class of models combine the information of independent studies, allowing investigation of variability both between and within studies, and weight function. Here we investigate sensitivity of results to unobserved studies by considering a hierachical selection model with including unknown weight function and use Markov chain Monte Carlo methods to develop inference for the parameters of interest. Using Bayesian method, this model is used on a meta-analysis of twelve studies comparing the effectiveness of two different types of flouride, in preventing cavities. Clinical informative prior is assumed. Summaries and plots of model parameters are analyzed to address questions of interest.
To perform a systematic review of the data collected from case-control studies conducted earlier to investigate the correlation between E-selectin S128R polymorphism and ischemic stroke (IS) risk among the Chinese population. The PubMed, Web of Science, Chinese biomedical literature database (CBM), Chinese databases China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), WanfangData knowledge service platform (Wanfang Data), and information resource integration service platform (VIP) Databases were searched to retrieve case-control studies on the correlation between E-selectin gene S128R polymorphism and IS from the inception of the database till June 2019. The literature was screened, data were extracted, the risk of bias was reviewed, and the studies included were assessed independently by two reviewers. Stata ver. 12.0 software (Stata Corp LLC, College Station, TX, USA) was used to perform the meta-analysis. A total of 2907 cases from eight case-control studies involving 1478 IS patients and 1429 controls were included in this study. The R allele and RS genotype in E-selectin were found to be associated with the risk of IS as per the results of the meta-analysis (R vs. S : odds ratio [OR], 2.75; 95% confidence interval [CI], 2.15-3.51; p<0.00001; RS vs. SS : OR, 2.50; 95% CI, 1.95-3.19; p<0.00001; RR+RS vs. SS : OR, 2.85, 95% CI, 2.21-3.67; p<0.00001). The E-selectin gene S128R polymorphism is likely related to IS based on the results of a meta-analysis in the Chinese population, and the R allele and RS genotype of E-selectin may be IS risk factors.
This study analyzes 45 Korea IT service companies from 2012 to 2016 using DEA analysis. Large enterprises, medium enterprises and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). CCR model and BCC model were used for efficiency analysis. Among the various analytical objects, the decision objects which yield the maximum output with minimum input are compared with other analysis objects. The relative inefficiency was measured through this, and Technical Efficiency (TE), Pure Technology Efficiency (PTE), Scale Efficiency (SE), scale profit, reference frequency were analyzed. Also, we analyzed the Technology Gap Ratio (TGR), which is the distance between production function and Meta-Frontier for each firm, using Meta-Frontier analysis. Finally, the Tobit model is used to analyze the sources of efficiency and inefficiency. The inputs are assets, capital, and employees, and the output factor is sales. The analysis shows that large firms are achieving technological achievements more efficiently than small and medium enterprises. As a result, medium-sized enterprises and SMEs can improve efficiency overall through efficient operation of workforce and appropriate combination of inputs such as assets and capital. Also, as a result of the influence factor analysis, it was found that the ratio of the managed asset ratio and the management cost ratio were significant factors influencing the efficiency of the IT service companies. This study suggests the efficiency analysis using DEA for many Korea IT service companies. Inefficient parts of each company are classified according to size and technology. Also, we identify the most efficient companies and analyze the causes of those companies whose profits are lower than their size.
Background: The findings of currently available studies are not consistent with regard to the association between the risk of cancer and ginseng consumption. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate this association by conducting a meta-analysis of different studies. Methods: To systematically evaluate the effect of ginseng consumption on cancer incidence, six databases were searched, including PubMed, Ovid Technologies, Embase, The Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Chinese VIP Information, from 1990 to 2014. Statistical analyses based on the protocol employed for a systematic review were conducted to calculate the summary relative risks (RRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results: We identified nine studies, including five cohort studies, three case-control studies, and one randomized controlled trial, evaluating the association between ginseng consumption and cancer risk; these studies involved 7,436 cases and 334,544 participants. The data from the meta-analysis indicated a significant 16% lower risk of developing cancer in patients who consumed ginseng (RR = 0.84, 95% CI = 0.76-0.92), with evidence of heterogeneity (p = 0.0007, $I^2$ = 70%). Stratified analyses suggested that the significant heterogeneity may result from the incidence data for gastric cancer that were included in this study. Publication bias also showed the same result as the stratified analyses. In addition, subgroup analyses for four specific types of cancer (colorectal cancer, lung cancer, gastric cancer, and liver cancer) were also performed. The summary RRs for ginseng intake versus no ginseng consumption were 0.77 for lung cancer, 0.83 for gastric cancer, 0.81 for liver cancer, and 0.77 for colorectal cancer. Conclusion: The findings of this meta-analysis indicated that ginseng consumption is associated with a significantly decreased risk of cancer and that the effect is not organ specific.
Recently, smart phones based on Android platform have been widely used, and lots of applications have been developed. Data generated from an application are frequently transferred to other applications. Therefore, a method that can easily transfer or share meta-data among applications is required. Generally meta-data created by android applications are java objects. The android platform uses clipboard, intent and content provider in order to transfer data among the applications. However, those ways are designed to transfer data as a record. So these methods have to marshall the object to a record and unmarshall the record to an object. In this paper, we designed and implemented the MetaService which can transfer any type of object made by applications. When the MetaService is used, we can reduce complex implementations such as clipboards and content providers and we can reduce many bugs. Therefore, we can make the applications simple and increase productivity.
The UML is a widely accepted standard in object-oriented modeling. As the UML is semantically rich, we can describe in detail the system that will be developed, but we cannot guarantee the correctness and consistency of the designed model. Therefore, it is important to minimize the error by verifying user models in an early stage. In this paper, we propose a method for verifying the consistency of UML structural diagrams and behavioral diagrams using OCL verification rules and meta-metamodel. The consistency is a nature for checking whether the structural diagrams and behavioral diagrams are coherently designed according to a specific requirement. First we build meta-metamodels of the structural diagram and behavioral diagram that are described with the UML diagrams and the related elements, we derive rules for verifying the consistency from each meta-metamodels, and then formally specify with the language such as OCL for automatic verification. Finally, we verify the usefulness of the rule through a case study.
