Specification and Analysis of Key Recovery System using ECTPN (ECTPN을 이용한 키복구 시스템의 명세 및 분석)

  • When a receiver of ciphertext message can not decrypt a message because he has lost his private-key, the private-key of receiver and session-key of the message should be recovered. In this paper, we developed an Encapsulation based Key Recovery System (EKRS). EKRS is a new key encapsulation based key recovery system which is characterized by secretly choice of KRA, randomized target keys. n-way recovery type, and useful for commercial key recovery. EKRS is formally specified by a pictorial model, an Extended Cryptographic Timed Petri Net (ECTPN). Secure information flow and reachability of a session-key are verified by using reachability graph of ECTPN. EKRS, executing over a Public Key Infrastructure, can be used as a security solution in Web based applications such as CALS, EC an EDI.

Study of Quasi Zenith Satellite Orbit and Navigation Messages (준천정 위성 궤도 특성 및 항법정보 연구)

  • One of the key elements for developing GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) is the comprehensive analysis of GNSS satellite orbit including the capabilities to generate precision navigation message. The orbit characteristics of Japan's own GNSS system, called QZSS (Quasi Zenith Satellite System) is analyzed and its navigation message, which includes orbit elements and correction terms, is investigated. QZSS-type orbit simulations were performed using a precision orbit integrator in order to analyze the effect of perturbation forces, e.g. gravity, Moon, Sun, etc., on the orbit variation. A preliminary algorithm for creating orbit element corrections was developed and its accuracy is evaluated with the simulation data.

  • In this paper, the response characteristics of CAN-based feedback control system are analyzed when message time delays through the network are considered. The message time delays are composed of computation time delay and communication time delay. The application layer of CAN communication is modeled mathematically to analyze two time delays, and the communication time delay is redefined under several assumption conditions. The CAN-based feedback control system is proposed as a target system that is the machining system with the three axes. The response characteristics of time delays in the proposed system are analyzed through computer simulations, and can be improved by the compensation using the PID tuning method to satisfy the design specifications of the system.

  • A parallel version of sheet forming analysis program was developed. This version is compatible with any parallel computers which support MPI that is one of the most recent and popular message passing libraries. For this purpose, SERI-SFA, a vector version which runs on Cray Y-MP C90, a sequential vector computer, was used as a source code. For the sake of the effectiveness of the work, the parallelization was focused on the selected part after checking the rank of CPU consumed from the exemplary calculation on Cray Y-MP C90. The subroutines associated with contact algorithm was selected as targe parts. For this work, MPI was used as a message passing library. For the performance verification, an oil pan and an S-rail forming simulation were carried out. The performance check was carried out by the kernel and total CPU time along with theoretical performance using Amdahl's Law. The results showed some performance improvement within the limit of the selective paralellization.

The Expression of Metonymy in Fashion Illustration (패션 일러스트레이션의 환유적 표현방법)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze a theoretical frame of expressional area, the characteristics and the effects which is applied to fashion illustration by metonymic theory. The theoretical frame of expressional area was analyzed by category analysis and 150 fashion illustrations from 1900 to 1999 were analyzed by contents analysis. The results of this study were as follows: The expressions of metonymy were categorized by close-up, realistic expression, omission, borrowing of past style, simplification and deconstruction. First, close-up was presented as emphasis of small part of fashion by cutting the scenes, snapshot, emphasis, etc. Second, realistic expression was presented as description of related circumstance with fashion message through perspective and realistic description of circumstance related to figures. Third, omission was presented as seeking of essential core by removing color, pattern, texture or by omitting body and as emphasis of communication about dominant fashion message. Fourth, borrowing of past style was presented as reminding us of background of the past. Fifth, simplification was presented as using of form or color to alleviate tension of object and to restore the essential reality. Sixth, deconstruction was presented as fragmenting of image, flattening of body and clothing, weakness of form, and strength of color. In conclusion, metonymy made by experience system of thinking based on the reality, have extended expressional territory in pre-existing fashion illustration. And these ways not only will provide fashion image as illustrator's subjective intention and theoretical system of expression of message, but also will be useful way to strengthen communication for easier interpretation of fashion illustration.

  • MIL-STD-1553B communication is globally used in the area of aerospace and defense which require safety and reliability in spite of its low communication speed. As recently increased requirements for high precision and robust guidance ability of missiles, missile sensor equipment needs more data to satisfy those requirements. Therefore, missile systems to adopt MIL-STD-1553B requires higher data transfer and processing capability than those of the current systems. In this paper, we describe the result of analysis and implementation of the existing methods that applied multi-message chain and double buffers to improve the current missile system.

A Study on Non-participating TDL Message Analyzer (비가입형 TDL 메시지 분석기에 관한 연구)

  • Modern warfare exhibit a NCW (Network Centric Warfare) aspect through quick situation awareness and Command and Control. And Tactical messages operate on various tactical data links (TDLs). For monitoring TDL messages processed by data link processor(DLP), message analysers are generally developed as a component during system development. In addition, in order to forward TDL messages processed by DLP to the message anayzer, the interface messages between DLP and message analysers should be defined interface control document(ICD). We propose the methods using UDP or TCP packets provided by TDL layers that are delivered to DLP without communicating directly with DLP. Depending on TDL message standards and Interface Control Documents(ICDs), we design the message analyzer which communicates with data link processor using internal messages. Using known header field information from the TDL application standard such as JREAP-C, we can quickly filter candidate packets against collected packets and use the full data size information contained in the headers to verify the completed message. Because the methods proposed in this paper do not communicate directly with DLP, the methods proposed in this paper are enable to analyze the TDL application messages such as JREAP-C or Link-K without constraints in existing methods that should be reflected in the system configuration and ICD.

A Study on Message Set of VMS on Express way and Evaluation of Driver's Preference (고속도로 VMS Message Set 연구 및 이용자 선호도 평가)

  • VMS(Variable Message Sign) which makes the traffic flow smooth by providing traffic information to road users in real-time has been being installed or operated on the road as part of the detailed ITS system. However, some problems were found as a result of survey on express way currently. In the part of the phase operation, the message interpretation time wasn't defined so that the phase operation was difficult. In the part of the information service, not considering characteristic of the VMS section caused the confusion to drivers. In the part of the message exposure, font, alignment, conversion and composition of the information were not consistent and use of superfluous words and inconsistent use of word having the same meaning brought about the problem on information communication This study established the detailed exposure method based on instructions relative to VMS operation. The method established by defining the number of appropriate phase and setting required function of each individual VMS installation location. The method is as follow. the font type is the GULIM, the message conversion method is simple conversion method, the alignment method is centering alignment method and the color is defined according to each situation. In this study, the preference survey was performed to review the validity of the proposed improvement through the common driver. The results were similar with the pre-study except for the font type. This study established the detailed exposure method based on instructions relative to VMS operation. The method established by defining the number of appropriate phase and setting required function of individual VMS installation location. For the evaluation of status and improvement, preference survey of ordinary drivers and statistics analysis was carried.

A Study on Advertising Effects by Advertising Evaluation and Advertising Involvement -Focused on Casual Wear Advertisements of Fashion Magazine- (광고평가와 광고관여에 따른 광고효과 연구 -패션잡지의 캐주얼 의류광고를 중심으로-)

  • The purposes of this study was to identify the evaluative dimensions of advertising and to examine the effect of evaluative dimensions of advertising on advertising effects(attitude to advertising/buying intention). The subjects used for the study were 202 female university students. Through the pretest, 15 casual wear brand's advertisements were selected and presented as stimuli. The questionnaire was employed and descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, paired t-test and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, 5 evaluative dimensions of advertising were identified; model, message, product, brand and image. The dimension of advertising evaluated most positively was image. Second, the dimensions of advertising that significantly affected the attitude to advertising were model, message and image, whereas the dimensions that affected buying intention were product and brand. The influence of the evaluative dimensions of advertising on the attitude to advertising were different according to advertising involvement.
