Medusa: 시맨틱 웹 규칙 언어 처리를 위한 확장형 서술 논리 추론기 (Medusa: An Extended DL-Reasoner for SWRL-enabled Ontologies)

  • 현재 온톨로지의 논리적 오류와 개념들 간의 포함 관계를 탐지하는 추론 엔진들이 소개되고 있다. 대부분의 서술 논리 기반 온톨로지 추론 엔진은 태블로 알고리즘을 기반으로 구축되었다. 그러나 태블로 알고리즘 기반의 온톨로지 추론은 인스턴스 추론에 있어서 한계를 보인다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Medusa 시스템을 제안한다. Medusa는 서술 논리로 표현된 온톨로지의 정형화된 의미를 기반으로 시맨틱 웹 규칙 언어(SWRL)를 지원하는 확장된 서술 논리 추론 엔진이다. 대부분의 서술 논리 기반 추론 엔진은 효과적으로 온톨로지 스키마 모델을 추론하지만 인스턴스(Assertional Knowledge) 정보를 추론하기 위한 규칙 기반 추론 기능을 제공하지는 않는다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 Medusa는 서술 논리의 추론 방식과 규칙 기반 추론 방식을 동시에 사용한다. 본 논문에서 설명하는 Medusa의 프로토타입은 $Prot{\acute{e}}g{\acute{e}}$ API[1]를 사용하여 시맨틱 웹 규칙 언어 추론 엔진과 서술 논리 추론 엔진간의 상호작용을 제어한다.

시화호에서 보름달물해파리 Aurelia aurita (s.l.)의 개체군변동 (Population Dynamics of Jellyfish Aurelia aurita (s.l.) in Sihwa Lake)

  • We investigated the population dynamics of Aurelia aurita in Sihwa Lake from April to October in 2009. Salinity ranged from 5.9 to 30.7 psu at the surface. Abundance of mesozooplankton ranged from 3 to 111,874 indiv. $m^{-3}$. Ephyrae occurred from April to May with the peak in abundance occurring on 17 April. Maximum density of ephyrae was observed near the power transmission towers that are known to be habitats of polyps. Mortality of ephyrae was lower than in other areas because of the abundant prey concentration and the absence of predators. Young medusae occurred from April to July with the peak in abundance occurring on 8 May. Adult medusae occurred from May to July with the peak in abundance on 25 June and they disappeared before the rainy season. Planula occurred only in May and June with the peak in abundance on 25 June. Growth rates of Aurelia aurita ranged from -0.06 to 0.34 $d^{-1}$, and decreased rapidly after May. The period in which adult medusa occurred was restricted, compared with those in other area in Korea (e.g., Masan Bay) and Japan (e.g., Tokyo Bay). In the period of this study, the available food was limited in June and salinity decreased to ca. 20 psu in May because of the beginning of the wet season. We assumed that the exceptionally short period of occurrence of the medusa may be a response of adults to changes in temperature, salinity or food limitation which leads to the precocious maturation of young medusa and the release of planula and that the brief occurrence of medusa was caused by an abrupt decrease in activity after the release of planula.

  • Arts is the expression of reasoning and conscious life of human and arouse human the concept of existence, utmost emotion and excellent thoughts. Also it makes humans life very abundant. I make it come first to get rid of the art thirst on the opposite sight of technical one for hair as on part of humans body. Next purpose is that to confirm the esthetic value of 'hair arts' by solidify the academic ground of beauty arts through creating 'hair arts' works and learning and make the direction for the beauty industry and education of the next generation. In this study I investigated the Greek myth(the background and develop)and the hair styles of ancient Greek Goddesses. On the basis of that symbols I elaborated hair formative works made of metal and studied, analyzed and displayed that. Work No.1 'Aphrodite' is the sculpture showing the win of love which animated. I formed it very active and vigorous. Next 'Birth of Venus', No.2, involves fineness and freshness. 'Fear of Medusa', the third piece, displays the very second when medusa was executed as a beautiful and active scene not a scary one. And lastly in 'Lovely Medusa' Medusa finally find the stability and it was expressed her beautiful and shining hair. So this study conducted based on the concept of practical hair and have made efforts to be close to theoretical manufacturing research needed at making hair arts works and academic one needed at organic design composition for pioneering new field, 'art hair.' I hope these 'hair arts' works make creativity of the practise hair alive. It will be very thankful to me if this study can help even though slightly for splendid beauty arts to make its status firm as a one part of arts, and there are following studies.

백합의 품종 및 구근크기가 절화품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Bulb Circumference and Cultivar on the Cut Flower Quality in Lily.)

  • 본 연구는 고품질 절화백합 생산을 하기 위해 실제 유통 중인 7품종을 구주를 달리 하여 식재하고, 채화 후 구주와 품종이 절화품질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 수행하였다.절화품질을 측정한 결과, 화뢰장은 'Medusa', 품종, 절화장은 'Mother's Choice' 품종에서 가장 긴 것으로 확인되었다. 줄기휨각도는 'Mother's choice' 품종과 'Ismael' 품종을 제외한 모든 품종이 $30^{\circ}$ 이상으로 나타났다. 화경장, 화서장, 경경, 꽃 수, 중량 모두 구주가 클수록 좋은 결과를 보였다. 절화품질 중 화뢰장, 절화장, 꽃 수에 영향을 미치는 요인은 구주의 크기이며, 휨각도는 품종과 구주의 크기 모두 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이와같이 절화품질은 품종보다는 구주에 영향을 받으며 크기가 커질수록 좋은 결과가 나타나는 것으로 확인되었다.

Tempo of Diversification of Global Amphibians: One-Constant Rate, One-Continuous Shift or Multiple-Discrete Shifts?

  • In this brief report, alternative time-varying diversification rate models were fitted onto the phylogeny of global amphibians by considering one-constant-rate (OCR), one-continuous-shift (OCS) and multiple-discrete- shifts (MDS) situations. The OCS diversification model was rejected by ${\gamma}$ statistic (${\gamma}=-5.556$, p<0.001), implying the existence of shifting diversification rates for global amphibian phylogeny. Through model selection, MDS diversification model outperformed OCS and OCR models using "laser" package under R environment. Moreover, MDS models, implemented using another R package "MEDUSA", indicated that there were sixteen shifts over the internal nodes for amphibian phylogeny. Conclusively, both OCS and MDS models are recommended to compare so as to better quantify rate-shifting trends of species diversification. MDS diversification models should be preferential for large phylogenies using "MEDUSA" package in which any arbitrary numbers of shifts are allowed to model.
