Study on a loading mechanism for fixed ratio traction drives (고정 감속비트랙션 드라이브의 압부력 발생장치에 대한 연구)

  • A novel loading mechanism of wedge roller type has been developed. This type traction drive has long system life and high efficiency by changing the pre-load on a contact point. And this loading mechanism does not need precision machining. So it has, as opposed to the conventional loading mechanism, an advantage in saving manufacturing cost. In this paper, by analyzing pre-load generating mechanism, spring pre-load and the roller size are defined and the stress on the contact point by pre-load is calculated. On the basis of this analysis, the model of wedge roller type traction drive for the test is made and was carried out its performance test. It can transmit input torque up to 1.5 N m, with high efficiency over 91% up to 98%, with slip rate under 2.5%.

The Chacteristics of Load on the Cam-Valve Mechanism for the Marine Diesel Engine (박용 디젤기관의 캠-밸브기구 하중특성)

  • In this study both the experimental and the analytic approach to find load characteristics on the cam-valve mechanism for matrine diesel engine were demonstrated. The experiment was per-formed with a test rig consisted of real engine components for cam-valve mechanism of overhead valve type. The 9-degree of freedom lumped mass model was developed to simulate cam-valve motion throughly. Behavior of the load acting on the cam-valve mechanism was estimated for the various cam speed. The load variation was getting deeper with the higher cam speed and the jumping of the follower was shown both in the experiment and in the simulation.

  • This study explores how agents would make decisions responding to control mechanism in contractual relationship of their firm. Focusing on agent's averse behavior against control, system dynamics model for agent's opportunistic behavior is developed in view of agent theory and control theory. This SD model shows that control mechanism by contracts doesn't always play a positive role on corporate decision-making process and Control, especially in the over-controlled contracts, often makes a paradox accelerating agent's opportunistic behavior unexpectedly. This paradox provides us both theoretical and practical implications for the relationship between control mechanism and autonomous behavior for sustainable corporate management.

  • In this study, skeletal mechanisms are produced by directed relation graph with specified threshold value and sensitivity analysis based on species database from the directed relation graph. Skeletal mechanism is optimized through the elimination of unimportant reaction steps by computational singular perturbation importance index. Reduction is performed for the detailed mechanism of methyl butanoate consisting of 264 species and 1219 elementary reactions. Validation shows acceptable agreement for auto-ignition delays in wide parametric ranges of pressure, temperature and equivalence ratio. Methyl butanoate has been proposed as a simple biodiesel surrogate although the alkyl chain consists of four carbon atoms. The resulting surrogate mechanism for n-heptane and MB consists of 76 species and 226 reaction steps including those for NOx.

  • This paper presents a method for tolerance design using the Taguchi Method(TM) and general purpose mechanism analysis program. Also the method is tolerance design with repect to performance improvement of a mechamism. To use the orthogonal array, mathematical model of a mechanism is established and experiments are carried out by the general purpose mechanism analysis program. The contact model is used to consider a clearance effect. This method is applied to the VTR Deck mechanism. This method can be used in tolerance design of general mechanisms.

  • In this paper, output precision characteristic of planar 3 and 6 degree-of-freedom parallel mechanisms are investigated. The 6 degree-of-freedom mechanism is formed by adding an additional small link along with an actuated joint in each of serial subchain of the 3 degree-of-freedom mechanism. First, kinematic analysis for two parallel mechanisms are performed, then their first-order kinematic characteristics are examined via isotropic index and minimum velocity transmission ratio of the mechanisms. It can be concluded that the planar 6 degrees-of-freedom parallel mechanism can be very effectively employed as a high-precision macro-micro manipulator from the analysis results when its link lengths are properly chosen.

  • As a method to control the congestion, priority mechanism which gives two-level priority to various traffics using CLP bit in cell haeder is carried in ATM network. In this paper, we proposed PBS(partial buffer sharing) mechanism with two threshold for provide three-level priority using CLP bit and Res. bit. By performance analysis proposed mechanism, we knew that provides flexibility to satisfy requirements of various quality of service, compare to existing mechanism with two-level priority.

  • In order to overcome the limitation of conventional cleaning method by workers, variety attempts to develop a window cleaning apparatus has been tried. However, the existing cleaning devices were lack of consideration for avoiding projection parts of the window such as frames or profiles. In this study, operating mechanism of cleaning tool for avoiding the projections parts using a two-axis robot is proposed. Proposed mechanism is that a wiper are reposed in a relatively stationary in the vicinity of the projection and avoided the projection in this state. It is expected that the mechanism is the base of driving cleaning tool part in the new window cleaning apparatus.

  • In this paper, an EMM(Equivalent Mechanical Model) is developed to explain the voltage collapse mechanism by reflecting the effects of reactive powers. The proposed EMM exactly represents the voltage instability mechanism described by the system equations. By the use of the EMM model the voltage collapse mechanism has been illustrated by showing the exactness of the results. It is also discussed a system transform in technique to eliminate the resistance component of the Thevenin equivalent impedance for practical applications.

  • In microfactory, loading/unloading mechanism supply the row material to processing machines for manufacturing process such as pressing, cutting, plastic deformation. This mechanism for rnicrofactory is designed as modularity robot. Microfactory system have to be flexible structure for variety product item. For system flexibility, applied mechanisms are developed as moduality. Robot moduality needs the specific characteristics which are different from one of macro, typical robot system. In this paper, we discussed about the modularity robot. and proposed the loading/unloading mechanism for working in microfactory system.
