  • This study intend to analyze differences between 3D body scanning sizes and direct measurement sizes of same subjects. The subjects of study are female students of university in China. 3D data analyze as a 3D Body Measurement Soft System. The conclusion found is as below: In case of circumferences, error between direct-measurement size and 3D body scanning size is from 4.9mm to 62.2mm. The neck circumference size of directmeasurement is bigger than 3D body scanning size. The height error range is from 0.6mm to 51mm. Height of underbust, waist and hip are that direct-measurement sizes are higher than 3D body scanning sizes. Gap of width is from 3.8mm to 21.9mm. The gap range is too narrow relatively to others. Only direct-measurement size of neck width is wider than 3D body scanning size. Error range of length is from 0.3mm to 41.8mm. 3D body scanning sizes of lateral neck to waistline, upperarm length, arm length, neck shoulder point to breast point, shoulder center point to breast point, lateral shoulder to breast point are longer than direct-measurement sizes. They have a negative margin of error. I intend to set up same measurement point between direct-measurement and 3D body scanning but they have some errors because direct-measurement point is applied by a person. 3D body scanning measurement point is settled by automatic system. A measurement point of direct-measurement and 3D body scanning isn't unite. So we need to make a standard of setting up measurement points.

  • In this study, we investigated the differences of graph constructed by middle school students in daily-life and scientific contexts according to the views on the nature of scientific measurement. A test consisting of three similar data sets regarding daily-life and scientific contexts was developed, and administered to 151 ninth graders. They were expected to construct proportional, inverse-proportional, and increasing and become constant form of graphs for each data set. Graphs constructed were analyzed in the aspects of constructing a trend line (types of a trend line, interpolation/extrapolation), selecting axes variables, scaling axes, and plotting points. Analyses of the results revealed that the students with set paradigm tended to construct a curved trend line, while those with point paradigm constructed a broken trend line in inverse-proportional graph questions. In the aspects of interpolation/extrapolation, most students with set paradigm performed both interpolation and extrapolation better than those with point paradigm in scientific context. Most students with set paradigm performed both interpolation and extrapolation regardless of contexts, while the proportion of interpolation of those with point paradigm was higher in scientific context than in daily-life context. In selecting axes variables, scaling axes, and plotting dots, there were no statistically significant differences between set and point paradigms. On the bases of the results, educational implications for improving graph construction skills of middle school students are discussed.

  • Ranking-based conjoint analysis(RBCA) and choice-based conjoint analysis(CBCA) have attracted significant interest in various fields such as marketing research. When conducting research, the researcher has to select one suitable approach in consideration of strengths and weaknesses. This article performs an empirical comparison of the predictability of RBCA and CBCA in order to provide criterion for the selection. A new concept of measurement set is developed by combining the ranking set and choice set. The measurement set enables us to apply two approaches separately on the same consumer group that allows a fair comparison of predictability. RBCA and CBCA are conducted on consumer preferences for RTD-coffee; subsequently, the predicted values of market shares and hit rates are compared. The study result reveals that their predictabilities are not significantly different. Further, the result indicates that RBCA is recommended if the researcher wants to improve data quality by filtering out poor responses or to implement the market segmentation. In contrast, CBCA is recommended if the researcher wants to lessen the burden on the respondents or to measure preferences under similar conditions with the actual marketplace.

  • This paper presents fuzzy rules to predict diagnosis of Wisconsin breast cancer with minimized number of feature in put using the neural network with weighted fuzzy membership functions (NEWFM) and the non-overlap area distribution measurement method. NEWFM is capable of self-adapting weighted membership functions from the given the Wisconsin breast cancer clinical training data. n set of small, medium, and large weighted triangular membership functions in a hyperbox are used for representing n set of featured input. The membership functions are randomly distributed and weighted initially, and then their positions and weights are adjusted during learning. After learning, prediction rules are extracted directly from n set of enhanced bounded sums of n set of small, medium, and large weighted fuzzy membership functions. Then, the non-overlap area distribution measurement method is applied to select important features by deleting less important features. Two sets of prediction rules extracted from NEWFM using the selected 4 input features out of 9 features outperform to the current published results in number of set of rules, number of input features, and accuracy with 99.71%.

  • In this work, we have been analyzed the characteristics of ReRAM with different annealing condition and temperature. The ReRAM devices with top electrode=150nm, bottom electrode=150nm, oxide thickness=70nm and annealing temperature=$500^{\circ}C$, $850^{\circ}C$ have been used in characterization. The Set/Reset voltage, sensing window and resistivity have been characterized. From the measurement results, the Set/Reset voltage and sensing window have been enhanced as the annealing temperature has been increased. But it has been decreased as the temperature performance has been increased. In case of the annealing temperature=$850^{\circ}C$, the variation of Set/Reset voltage was lower than that of other condition. But the variation of sensing window was the lowest when the annealing temperature was $500^{\circ}C$. With considering the variation of Set/Reset voltage and sensing window, the devices annealed at $850^{\circ}C$ showed the best performance to ReRAM.

  • TPM(Total Productive Maintenance) is a methodology to improve corporations' productivity and has been employed widely. At the initial stage of the TPM, we need to set basic plans and goals of the TPM. Also, quantization of performance is required through the TPM activity measurement indices to achieve the plans and the goals. We analyzed measurement factors of TPM activity by observation of previous researches and suggest a measure methodology of economic effect for the TPM performance measurement based on BSC and quantification of qualitative measurement.

  • This study was performed to find out the measurement criteria of slip resistance from analysis of human gait and slips. Many kinds of slip resistance testers were developed based on mechanical friction testers. But, there are, as yet, no unambiguous slip resistance measurement methodologies and generally accepted safety criteria or safety thresholds for estimating slipping hazard exposures. Also, there are variety of measuring conditions between those testers. The measurement criteria should be tested within the range of human slipping conditions observed in biomechanical studies. It's results should clearly consider whether the devices reflect the human slipping conditions. In this study a dragsled type friction tester, which was constructed in accordance with ISO 15133 basically, was used. Test conditions were set in order to determine the range of measurement criteria. It is shown that drag velocity should be more than 1 m/s, acceleration be more than 10 $m/s^2$, contact time be less than 0.1sec, and contact pressure be within 350~400 kPa.

  • In this paper, we dealt with a partial discharge(PD) measurement method that has been accepted as an effective and non-destructive technique to estimate insulation performance of low-voltage electric and electronic devices. The PD measurement system Is composed of a coupling network, a low noise amplifier, and associated electronics. h shielded box Is adopted to make a better measurement environment against around noise. A low cut-off frequency of the coupling network estimated by a sinusoidal wave input was 125 kHz (-3 dB). Calibration tests on laboratory set-up have shown that the PD measurement system has a stable sensitivity of 10 mV/pC. In an application test oil a low-voltage three phase Induction motor (5 HP), we could detect 0.53 pC level of partial discharge at the applied voltage of AC 650 $V_{peak}$.
