벼의 냉수피해 감소를 위한 관개수온 조사와 대책수립 (Measurement of Irrigation Water Temperature and Preventive Measure against Cold Watter Damage to Paddy Rice)

  • Paddy rice is semi-tropical crop and requires warmirrigation water. If mean water temperature at the water source during the growing period is below 18$^{\circ}C$, sime kinds of water warming mechanism should be taken. In this study irrigation water temperature is measured and preventive measures to cold water damage on paddy rice are suggested. Field observations were performed at 100ha field area downtream of the Unmoon reservoir during the growing season of 1997. Land use, canal system, water temperature at irrigation canals. reservoir, and paddy fields were observed. In addition, growth and yield of the rice at selected plots were observed. Accordingly to the record, cold water damage occurred in this area due to the cold irrigation water supply in 1996. It did not occur because of the effective irrigation water management practice in 1997. However, several preventive measures such as pontoon intake system, using existing weir and construting a new warming pond, are suggested to prevent cold water damage in the future. If a new warming pond is construted to raise irrigation water temperature by 2 $^{\circ}C$, a pond area of 2.94 ha is required.

한국에서 기온상승이 사과 재배지역의 변화에 미치는 영향 (Impacts of Temperature Rising on Changing of Cultivation Area of Apple in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 사과 재배지역을 대상으로 재배면적과 생산량의 시기별 변화를 파악하고, 사례지역을 선정하여 최근의 기온상승이 사과 재배면적 및 생산량 변화에 미친 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 전국 사과 재배면적 및 생산량 자료와 사례지역의 기후자료를 분석하였다. 우리나라 사과 재배면적 및 생산량은 대구 경산을 중심으로 하는 경상북도 남부지역에 집중되었으나, 최근 의성 문경을 중심으로 하는 경상북도 북부와 산간 고랭지로 집중 재배지역이 이동하였다. 사례지역인 의성과 장수는 생육기간의 평균기온은 생육 적온 범위에 포함되어 있으나, 대구는 생육 적온 범위보다 고온을 나타내고 있다. 이는 계속되는 기온상승이 대구 사과 재배에 악영향을 미칠 수 있음을 의미한다. 대구와 장수의 일교차는 감소하는 경향이며, 의성은 증가하는 경향이다.

전남지역의 기상요인이 과맥의 생육 및 수량구성 요소에 미치는 영향 (Studies on Some Weather Factors in Chon-nam District on Plant Growth and Yield Components of Naked Barley)

  • To obtain basic information on the improvement of naked barley production. and to clarify the relation-ships between yield or yield components and some meteorogical factors for yield prediction were the objectives of this study. The basic data used in this study were obtained from the experiments carried out for 16 years from 1958 to 1974 at the Chon-nam Provincial Office of Rural development. The simple correlation coefficients and multiple regression coefficients among the yield or yield components and meteorogical factors were calculated for the study. Days to emergence ranged from 8 to 26 days were reduced under conditions of mean minimum air temperature were high. The early emergence contributed to increasing plant height and number of tillers as well as to earlier maximum tillering and heading date. The plant height before wintering showed positive correlations with the hours of sunshine. On the other hand, plant height measured on march 1st and March 20th showed positive correlation with the amount of precipitation and negative correlation with the hours of sunshine during the wintering or regrowth stage. Kernel weights were affected by the hours of sunshine and rainfall after heading, and kernel weights were less variable when the hours of sunshine were relatively long and rainfalls in May were around 80 to 10mm. It seemed that grain yields were mostly affected by the climatic condition in March. showing the negative correlation between yield and mean air temperature, minimum air temperature during the period. In the other hand, the yield was shown to have positive correlation with hours of sunshine. Some yield prediction equations were obtained from the data of mean air temperature, mean minimum temperature and accumulated air temperature in March. Yield prediction was also possible by using multiple regression equations, which were derived from yield data and the number of spikes and plant height as observed at May 20th.

방류재포 방법에 의한 소라의 성장 특성 (Growth of Batillus cornutus by Capture-Recapture Method)

  • The amount of Batillus cornutus captured in Jeju Island was about 2,000 tons/year for three years after 2000. The mean size of B. cornutus by shell height was 7.7 cm in 2001, 7.9 cm in 2002, and 8.1 cm in 2003. Local mean size of B. cornutus by shell height was 8.7 cm in eastern waters, 7.4 cm in western waters, 7.8 cm in southern waters, and 7.7 cm in northern waters of Jeju Island. To investigate the effect of the growth pattern, an experiment was conducted: the samples were tagged and released in southern coastal waters of Jeju Island on 2nd April (a release test) and 29th October (a recapture test) in 2003. The release stations were two sites, natural reef and artificial reef, where their environmental conditions were different from each other. In April, the size of B. cornutus released in the natural reef was 6.2 cm in mean shell height, and 58.9 g in mean shell weight. The size of B. cornutus released in the artificial reef was 6.6 cm in mean shell height, and 65.9 g in mean shell weight. During the release period, most of B. cornutus were not moved much (less than 10 m) from the original release sites. When B. cornutus was recaptured in October after 7 months, the size of B. cornutus released in the natural reef became 7.4 cm in mean shell height, and 89.4 g in mean shell weight. The size of B. cornutus released in the artificial reef became 7.2 cm in mean shell height, and 84.9 g in mean shell weight. This indicates that the growth rate of B. cornutus released in the natural reef was higher than that of B. cornutus in the artificial reef. These differences in the growth of B. cornutus between study sites were ascribed to the abundance of marine algae grazed by immobile B. cornutus. Namely, with relatively high growth rate of B. cornutus in the natural reef, the number of species (23 species) and biomass (26,703.4 g) of algae were more diverse and abundant than those (7 species and 17,018.4 g) of algae in the artificial reef. The growth of B. cornutus in the natural reef was also correlated to high water temperature $(15.5-25.9^{\circ}C)$.

한국 서해산 꽃게 유생 및 치해의 생존율 및 성장 (Survival rate and growth of larvae and early juveniles in the swimming crab, Portunus trituberculatus (Miers) reared in the laboratory)

  • Swimming crabs, Portunus trituberculatus(Miers) are commercially important off the coasts of Korea, Japan and China. Harvest of swimming crabs has been fluctuated along their distribution ranges. Fluctuations in the interannual harvest of swimming crabs may be correlated with the survival rate during the larval period. The survival rates, intermolt periods, and growth of larval swimming crabs were investigated in the laboratory. Larval swimming crabs are released and undergo development from April to August off the western coast of Korea in the Yellow Sea. Sea surface temperatures off the western coast of Korea during the larval season were used for the laboratory experiments, and ranged from 22 to 26${^{\circ}C}$. Larvae were individually cultured at four different temperatures, 22${^{\circ}C}$, 24${^{\circ}C}$, 26${^{\circ}C}$, and 28${^{\circ}C}$. Zoea molted to megalopa at all temperatures and developed to the first crab stage at 24${^{\circ}C}$, 26${^{\circ}C}$, and 28${^{\circ}C}$. Survival rates from zoea I to the first crab stage increased with increasing temperatures. Intermolt period and the growth rate of the mean carapace length were inversely correlated with temperature. Our research helps understand the changes in survival rate and growth of larval swimming crabs resulting from changing oceanic temperatures. Further, our study suggests that the fluctuations in fishery harvest of swimming crabs off the coast of Korea may be related to changes in larval survival affected by changing ocean conditions.

시설채소의 수경재배방법별 소비수량과 생육에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Water Consumption and Growth of Vegetables Cultivated by Hydroponics in' the Green House)

  • In the vinyl house cultivation, the water consumption, evapotnanspirafion ratio, growth condifion by the growing stages and yields of tomato and cucumber were investigated when they cultivated by nutriculture, rice hull charcoal culture and NFF culture. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The mean air temperature in the vinyl house during the experimental perica j was 1.9$^{\circ}$C higher than the outdoor air temperature, the rrnocirnum and minimum air temperature in the vinyl house was 4.6C and 1.7$^{\circ}$C higher than the outdoor temperature, respectively, and the mean daily evaporation in the vinyl house during the experimental period was 4.3rnm that is 02rnrn more than the outdoor evaporation 2. In the tomato cultivation, the growth of rice hull charcoal culture was the best among the three methods, and the growth of NFT culture and nutriculture were worse than the soil cultivation which is standard, and among the nutriculture, the growth of EC 1.3m.mho plot was the best. 3. In the cucumber cultivation, the growth of rice hull charcoal culture was the best, and while the growth condition of NFT culture was worse than the standard soil cultivation, the growth of nutriculture was better than the standard soil cultivation, and the growth of EC 1.3m.mho plot was the highest among the different treatments in the nutriculture. 4. In the tomato cultivation, the total water consumption of rice hull charcoal culture plot was 1107.5rnm which is the highest amount among the three methods, and in the nutriculture, the total water consumption of EC 1.3m.mho plot was 22lAmm which is the highest among the three different treatments. 5. In the cucumber cultivation, the total water consumption of rice hull charcoal culture was 11762rnm which is the highest, and the total water consumption of EC 1.3m.mho plot was 284.9rnm which is more than the 278.9mm of EC 1.Smmho plot and 262.9mm of EC 1.7rnmho plot. 6. The crop coefficient(Kc) of tomato was 0.82 in NFT culture, 4.67 in rice hull charcoar culture and 0.86~0.91 in nutriculture. 7. The crop coefficient(Kc) of cucumber was higher than tomato as 1.13 in NFT culture, 520 in rice hull charcoal culture and 1.08~1.19 in nutriculture. 8. The evapotranspiration ratio in the mid and late season were higher than the beginning and elongation stage, and the average evaportranspiration ratio of tomato and cucumber was 3.81 and 424, respectively, in the rice hull charcoal culture plot. 9. In the tomato cultivation, the total yield per plant of rice bull charcoal culture was 1443.Og which is the highest, and in the nutriculture, their yields were worse because of the damage of downy nidew disease. 10. In the cucumber cultivation, the total yield per plant of rice hull charcoal culture was 1965.7g which is the highest, and while the yield of NFT culture was ahout 25% lower than the stadard soil cultivation, the yield of nutriculture was higher than the standard soil cultivation, and among the treatments in the nutriculture, the yield of EC 1.3m.mho plot was the highest.

고흥지방 기상요인과 감자의 생육 및 수량과의 관계 (Relationship between Meteorological Elements and Yield of Potato in Goheung Area)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between yearly variations of elimatic elements and yearly variations of productivity in potato. In addition, correlation coefficients among yield and yield components were estimated. The data of yield and yield components were investigated for 9 years from 1987 to 1995. The meteorological data what gathered at the Goheung Weather Station for the same period of crop growing season were used to find out the relationships between climatic elements and crop productivity. Yearly variation of the daily minimum temperature in March and April were large with coefficients of variation (C.V.) of 126.0%, 368%, respectively, but the variation of the daily mean and maximum temperature in May and June were relative small. Stem length and number of stem show more C.V. of 9.3%, 14.3%, respectively, but the variation of the yield was relative small with 3.7%. Correlation coefficients between the amount of precipitation in April and yield, yield and daily mean temperature in June were negatively significant at the level of 5, 1 %, respectively. Correlation coefficients between the growth habits and yield are positively significant at the level of 5, 1 %, respectively. Simple linear regression equations by the least square method are estimated for stem length (Yl) and the precipitation in April(X) as Y,=82.47-0.11x (R2=0.3959), and for yield(Y2) and the precipitation in April(X) as Y,=2003.61-0.94X (R2=0.5418).

아마란스의 생육기간에 따른 건물생산성 및 종실 수량 (Effect of Growing Period on the Dry Matter Productivity and Grain Yield of Amaranth (Amarnathus caudatus))

  • 기호성 잡곡작물로 주목 받고 있는 아마란스의 경북지역 내 재배가능성과 재배요인을 구명하기 위하여 파종기와 수확기를 달리하여 건물생산성과 수량을 조사하였다. 생육특성과 건물생산성은 생육기 온도가 가장 높았던 5월 10일 파종이 가장 높았던 반면 수량은 4월 10일 파종이 많았다. 파종기에 따라 경북지역 아마란스의 종실수량은 96~243kg의 범위를 보였다. 각 파종기별 적정 생육일수는 4월 10일 파종이 120일, 5월 10일과 6월 10일 파종은 110일일 때 수량이 가장 많았다. 생육기 평균기온(MT)과 수량(Y) 간에는 각각 $Y=-16.362MT^2+670.04MT-6639.1$ ($R^2=0.629$)의 2차 함수관계를 보이고 최적온도는 $20.6^{\circ}C$, 최적 생육일수는 파종기에 따라 104~119일로 추정되었다.

잉어 3품종의 성장비교 (COMPARISON OF THE GROWTH RATES OF THREE STRAINS OF COMMON CARP, CYPRINUS CARPIO)

  • 3종의 잉어 품종계통, 즉 이스라엘잉어, 홍백계 및 황금계의 치어성장에 관하여 비교한 바는 다음과 같은 결과였다. 1975년 $8\~11$월에 걸쳐 수면적 $316m^2$, 평균수심 55 cm, 바닥에는 부식질 진흙이 $20\~30cm 정도 깔린 못에서 상기 3품종의 치어를 혼합해서 약 $0.5g(2\~3cm)$의 치어로부터 길렀다. 공급란 사료는 어분과 정맥을 반반씩하고, 생초를 상기량의 $10\%$, 식염을 $1\%$첨가하였다. 조단백질함량은 건조상태로써 $34.9\%$였다. 총생산량은 20.588 kg(방양치어중량은 무시), 사료 공급량은 건조상태로 30.08kg였으므로 사료계수는 1.51이였다. 품종별개체중량은 이스라엘잉어는 $98\~311g$, 평균 172.6g, 홍백계는 $15\~268g$, 평균 104.1g였으며, 황금계는 $30~268g$, 평균 128.7g으로 성장했다. 이것을 백분율로 비교해 보면 이스라엘잉어를 $100\%$로 할때, 홍백계는 $60.3\%$, 황금계는 $74.6\%$의 성장을 한 것으로 된다, 그간의 수온은 평균 $20.7^{\circ}C$였으며, 평균수온이 $15^{\circ}C$ 이상인 10월 하순까지의 80일간을 주성장기간으로 보고 검토하였다. 주성장기간중의 평균 1일성장도(1일후의 체중)는 이스라엘잉어 1.075786배, 홍백계 1.06901배, 황금계는 1.07185배이다.

인공종묘에 의한 우렁쉥이 (Halocynthia roretzi)의 성장 (On the Growth of the Sea Squirt (Halocynthia roretzi) from Artificial Seeds)

  • 1984년 2월부터 1986년 7월까지 한산도 앞바다에서 우렁쉥이 성장을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 체고의 성장에 있어서는 실험개시시 평균체고 0.5 mm에서 25경월후에는 9.15 cm로 자랐다. 육중의 성장은, 1985년 2월부터 1986년 3월까지의 13개월만에 1.27 g에서 41.69 g으로 증중하였다. 수온이 높고 (평균 $23.53^{\circ}C$), 해수비중이 낮은 (평균 1.0233)시기인 여름철에는 길이나 무게가 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 체고에 대한 체폭의 상대성성비는 양식기간에 따른 성장과 더불어 낮아져서 우렁쉥이의 모양이 점차 장형이 되는 경향을 보였다. 월별 우렁쉥이 폐사율은 6월과 7월에 비교적 높은 편이었으며, 전체적으로 보면 $10.83\%$였다.
