의약품 함량분석 정도관리에서의 변이 요인에 대한 통계분석 (Statistical Analysis on the Sources of Variance in Proficiency Test of Quantitative Analysis of Medicines)

  • Proficiency test is an essential tool far ensuring analytical ability of analytical chemists and analytical institutes. Usually, the standard protocol for proficiency test is focused on acceptability of reported analytical results of participants by calculating z-scores and related diagnostic parameters. The ultimate goal of this process is to reveal the sources of variability of analytical results and to find the way to reduce their influence. In this study, the method of analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied to the analytical data collected from qualify control departments of pharmaceutical companies in KyungIn province in Korea in the year of 2000. As influencing factors of variability of analytical results, the use of internal standards for liquid and gas chromatograpy, the educational and professional background of participants, geological locations and yearly production sizes of participating companies were evaluated. To evaluate the variability in accuracy of analytical results, absolute differences from sample mean and sample median were used and to evaluate variability in precision of individual participants, the reported standard deviation of each participant was used. As a result, the use of internal standards in gas chromatographic analysis, participants' academic background and the yearly production sizes of pharmaceutical companies showed statistically significant influence to the accuracy and the precision of the reported analytical results used in this study.

순수냉매의 풀비등 열전달 상관식 (Pool Boiling Heat Transfer Correlation for Pure Refrigerants)

  • Pool boiling heat transfer coefficients (HTCs) of HCFC123, CFC11, HCFC142b, HFC134a, CFC12, HFC22, HFC125 and HFC32 on a horizontal smooth tube have been measured. The experimental apparatus is specially designed to simulate the real heat transfer tube with the use of the secondary fluid of water as a heat source rather than a conventional electric heat source. Data were taken in the order of decreasing heat flux starting at $80 ㎾/m^2\; and \;ending\; at\; 5㎾/m^2\;in\; the\; poo\;l temperature\; at\; 7^{\circ}C$, Test results showed that HTCs of HFC125, and HFC32 are 50~67% higher than those of HCFC22. It is also found that some of the popular pool boiling heat transfer correlations in the literature are not good to predict the HTCs of newly developed alternative refrigerants. A new correlation was developed by a regression analysis which is based upon the consistent data obtained in this study and it showed an excellent agreement with all experimental data having an absolute mean deviation of less than 10%.

Wind Attribute Time Series Modeling & Forecasting in IRAN

  • A wind speed forecast is a crucial and sophisticated task in a wind farm for planning turbines and corresponds to an estimate of the expected production of one or more wind turbines in the near future. By production is often meant available power for wind farm considered (with units KW or MW depending on both the wind speed and direction. Such forecasts can also be expressed in terms of energy, by integrating power production over each time interval. In this study, we technically focused on mathematical modeling of wind speed and direction forecast based on locally data set gathered from Aghdasiyeh station in Tehran. The methodology is set on using most common techniques derived from literature review. Hence we applied the most sophisticated forecasting methods to embed seasonality, trend, and irregular pattern for wind speed as an angular variables. Through this research, we carried out the most common techniques such as the Box and Jenkins family, VARMA, the component method, the Weibull function and the Fourier series. Finally, the best fit for each forecasting method validated statistically based on white noise properties and the final comparisons using residual standard errors and mean absolute deviation from real data.

불안정판과 힘판을 이용한 평형감각 훈련시스템 개발 (Development of a Training System for Equilibrium Sense Using Unstable Platform and Force Plate)

  • In this paper, we present the development of a new training system for equilibrium sense and postural control. This system consists of an unstable platform, a force plate, a computer, and training programs. The unstable platform provides 360 degrees of movement allowing for training in all directions. To evaluate the effects of the training system, we performed various experiments to train the ability of equilibrium sense and postural control of fifteen young healthy subjects. We measured the time a subject maintains his or her center of pressure on a target, the time a subject moves his or her center of pressure to a target, and the mean absolute deviation of the trace before and after the training. We analyzed these parameters obtained before and after the training using paried-sample T-test. The result shows that the subjects experienced distinctive enhancement in their ability of postural control through the training using our system.

R407C 및 R410A의 수평원관내 응축열전달 (Condensation heat transfer of R407C and R410A in a horizontal smooth tube)

  • Experiments were carried out to investigate the condensation heat transfer characteristics for R22 and its alternatives, R407C (R32/125/134a, 23/25/52wt%) and R410A (R32/125, 50/50wt%). A concentric tube heat exchanger was made to conduct condensation heat transfer tests. Mass flux and saturation temperature of refrigerants at the test section inlet were varied to get the corresponding heat transfer coefficients. Serial and parallel input of secondary fluid (water) were applied to the test subsections. Compared with existing correlations of condensation heat transfer, experimental heat transfer coefficients obtained in this study were generally higher than the predicted values, and mean absolute deviations from several correlations were shown. Wall subcooling was introduced to get a new correlation for condensation heat transfer coefficients by modifying Shah's equation. The RMS deviation of the measured heat transfer coefficients from the new correlation in this study for R22 is 9.9% and that for R407C and R410A are 10.2% and 14.6%, respectively.

Online analysis of iron ore slurry using PGNAA technology with artificial neural network

  • Real-time analysis of metallic mineral grade and slurry concentration is significant for improving flotation efficiency and product quality. This study proposes an online detection method of ore slurry combining the Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA) technology and artificial neural network (ANN), which can provide mineral information rapidly and accurately. Firstly, a PGNAA analyzer based on a D-T neutron generator and a BGO detector was used to obtain a gamma-ray spectrum dataset of ore slurry samples, which was used to construct and optimize the ANN model for adaptive analysis. The evaluation metrics calculated by leave-one-out cross-validation indicated that, compared with the weighted library least squares (WLLS) approach, ANN obtained more precise and stable results, with mean absolute percentage errors of 4.66% and 2.80% for Fe grade and slurry concentration, respectively, and the highest average standard deviation of only 0.0119. Meanwhile, the analytical errors of the samples most affected by matrix effects was reduced to 0.61 times and 0.56 times of the WLLS method, respectively.

각막 후면 지형 측정을 위한 새로운 방법의 신뢰도 분석 및 평가 (Validating a New Approach to Quantify Posterior Corneal Curvature in Vivo)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 각막 전면의 지형과 각막의 두께를 이용하여 각막 후면 정점 곡률과 asphericity(Q)를 측정하기 위해 고안된 새로운 방법의 신뢰도 평가를 위해서 시행 되었다. 방법: 각막 후면의 정점 곡률 및 Q는 Medmont E300 corneal topographer로 측정한 각막 전면의 지형 data와 Holden-Payor optical pachometer로 측정한 각막 수평 경선의 두께 data를 이용하여 계산 되었다. 정확한 각막 두께를 계산 하기위하여 각막 전면 측정 위치의 곡률반경과 각막의 겉보기 두께로부터 각막의 실제 두께를 계산 할 때 정확한 방정식을 이용하였으며, 이는 선행 연구와 구별되는 점이다. 그리고 각막 전면과 후면의 지형은 각막 전면의 지형 data와 계산된 각막 후면의 좌표를 best fit 알고리즘을 이용하여 계산 되었다. 각막 후면의 지형 측정의 신뢰도는 10개의 polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) lens와 성인 5명의 각막을 측정 하여 평가 하였다. 결과: 10개의 PMMA lens를 이용한 평가에서는 후면 정점 곡률과 후면 Q의 mean absolute accuracy(${\pm}SD$)는 각각 $0.053{\pm}0.044mm$(95% 신뢰구간(CI) -0.033~0.139)와 $0.10{\pm}0.10$(95% CI -0.10~0.31)이였다. 그리고 5명의 각막을 이용한 평가에서의 각막 후면 정점 곡률과 후면 Q의 mean absolute repeatability coefficient(${\pm}SD$)는 각각 $0.07{\pm}0.06mm$(95% CI -0.05~0.19)와 $0.09{\pm}0.07$(95% CI -0.05~0.23) 이였다. 결론: 새로운 방법을 이용하여 신뢰할 수 있는 각막 후면의 지형(정점 곡률과 Q)을 계산 할 수 있었다. 이러한 새로운 방법은 살아있는 인체 각막의 정확한 후면 지형 계산에 적용 될 수 있다.

청년 한국인의 초역치 미각강도에 대한 성, 미각기호 및 흡연의 영향 (Suprathreshold Taste Intensities for Sucrose, NaCl, Citric Acid, and Quinine HCl in Young Koreans and the Influence of Sex, Taste Preference, and Smoking)

  • 본 연구는 20대의 건강한 한국인을 대상으로 설탕, 소금, 구연산, 염산키니네에 대한 초역치 미각강도를 측정하고 그것이 성, 미각기호, 흡연 등과 어떠한 관련성을 가지는지 구명하기 위해서 수행되었다. 연구 대상으로 경북대학교 치과대학에 재학중인 학생들 중에서 남자 61명, 여자 62명을 선정하였으며 이들의 평균연령은 25.2$\pm$2.1세이었다. 초역치 미각강도의 측정을 위해서 소리자극의 감지강도에 대한 미각자극의 감지강도를 상대적으로 평가하는 규모짝짓기법(magnitude matching)을 이용하였다. 미각기호는 9점 척도를 이용하여 측정하였으며 단맛, 매운맛, 짠맛, 신맛에 대한 선호 정도를 조사하였다. 이렇게 하여 얻은 자료를 분석한 결과 초역치 미각강도의 크기와 변화정도가 미각자극의 종류에 따라 전체적으로 비슷한 수준과 형태를 보였으며 피검자 개인별 차이가 비교적 적었다. 또한 미각기호나 성에 따른 초역치 미각강도의 차이를 발견할 수 없었으며, 흡연에 의한 영향도 인정할 수 없었다.

Comparsion of Dst forecast models during intense geomagnetic storms (Dst $\leq$ -100 nT)

  • We have investigated 63 intense geomagnetic storms (Dst $\leq$ -100 nT) that occurred from 1998 to 2006. Using these events, we compared Dst forecast models: Burton et al. (1975), Fenrich and Luhmann (1998), O'Brien and McPherron (2000a), Wang et al. (2003), and Temerin and Li (2002, 2006) models. For comparison, we examined a linear correlation coefficient, RMS error, the difference of Dst minimum value (${\Delta}$peak), and the difference of Dst minimum time (${\Delta}$peak_time) between the observed and the predicted during geomagnetic storm period. As a result, we found that Temerin and Li model is mostly much better than other models. The model produces a linear correlation coefficient of 0.94, a RMS (Root Mean Square) error of 14.89 nT, a MAD (Mean Absolute Deviation) of ${\Delta}$peak of 12.54 nT, and a MAD of ${\Delta}$peak_time of 1.44 hour. Also, we classified storm events as five groups according to their interplanetary origin structures: 17 sMC events (IP shock and MC), 18 SH events (sheath field), 10 SH+MC events (Sheath field and MC), 8 CIR events, and 10 nonMC events (non-MC type ICME). We found that Temerin and Li model is also best for all structures. The RMS error and MAD of ${\Delta}$peak of their model depend on their associated interplanetary structures like; 19.1 nT and 16.7 nT for sMC, 12.5 nT and 7.8 nT for SH, 17.6 nT and 15.8 nT for SH+MC, 11.8 nT and 8.6 nT for CIR, and 11.9 nT and 10.5 nT for nonMC. One interesting thing is that MC-associated storms produce larger errors than the other-associated ones. Especially, the values of RMS error and MAD of ${\Delta}$peak of SH structure of Temerin and Li model are very lower than those of other models.

가야금 안족의 위치에 따른 개선된 주파수 모델링 (An Improved Frequency Modeling Corresponding to the Location of the Anjok of the Gayageum)

  • 본 논문은 기존의 가야금 안족 모델을 분석하고 안족의 위치에 따른 주파수 모델링을 개선하기 위한 방법에 대해서 기술한다. 기존의 모델은 안족의 위치별 기본 주파수의 변화를 지수 함수로 가정, 리키 적분기를 이용하여 이들 주파수를 적분한 후 선형 회귀 모델을 이용하여 주파수와 안족의 위치에 관한 수식의 파라미터를 구하였다. 이 모델은 평균적으로 2.5 Hz의 오차를 보였으나 낮은 주파수에 대해서는 최대 7.75 Hz의 오차를 보였다. 이에 제안하는 모델은 안족의 위치를 세부 구간으로 나누고 각 구간 내 누적 주파수에 대한 선형 회귀 모델을 적용하였고, 리키 적분기의 계수를 바꿔가며 안족 위치의 세부 구간 내 각 현의 기본 주파수와 계산된 주파수간 RMSE(Root Mean Square Error)가 최소가 되는 계수를 찾음으로써 최적의 파라미터를 구하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 얻어진 모델은 기존의 오차를 최대 3배가량 줄일 수 있었다.
