생산환경 변화에 따른 최적 Material Flow Control 선택방법 (Selection Method for Optimal Shop Floor Control According to Manufacturing Environment)

  • Material flow control (MFC) is a kind of operational policy to control of the movement of raw materials, components, and products through the manufacturing lines. It is very important because it varies throughput, line cycle time, and work-in-process (WIP) under the same manufacturing environments. MFC can be largely categorized into three types such as Push, Pull, and Hybrid. In this paper, we set various manufacturing environments to compare five existing MFC mechanisms: Push, Pull, and Hybrid (CONWIP, Gated MaxWIP, Critical WIP Loops, etc). Three manufacturing environments, manufacturing policies (make to stock and make to order), demand (low, medium, high), and line balancing (balanced, unbalanced, and highly unbalanced) are considered. The MFCs are compared in the point of the five functional efficiencies and the proposed compounded efficiency. The simulation results shows that the Push is superior in the functional efficiency and GMWIP is superior in the compounded efficiency.

  • In case of environment requiring safety such as human body and requiring flexible shape, a conventional mechanical actuator system does not satisfy requirement. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, a research of various smart material such as EAP (Electro Active Polymer), EAC (Electro Active Ceramic) and SMA (Shape Memory Alloy) is in progress. Recently, the highest preferring material among various smart material is EP (Electrostictive Polymer), because it has very fast response time, poerful force and large displacement. The previous researches have been studied properties of polymer and simple control, but present researches are studied a polymer actuator. An EP (Electostrictive Polymer) actuator has properties which change variably as shape and environmental condition. Therefore, in order to coincide with a user's purpose, it is important not only to decide a shape of actuator and mechanical design but also to investigate a efficient controller. In this paper, we constructed the control logic with an adaptive fuvy algorithm which depends on the physical properties of EP that has a dielectric constant depending on time.

해상용 원심펌프 임펠러의 침식억제법으로 음극방식 및 재료개발에 관한 기초연구 1 (Fundamental Study on Cathodic Protection and Material Development as Erosion-Control Methods of Oceanic Centrifugal Pump(1))

  • Recently, with theraped advancement in th oceanology such an ocean-going vessel and oceanic structures, there is a need to study the cavitation erosion-corrosion control of pump impeller, the partial element of ocean machinery, for more effective operation. Especially, the cathodic protection (impressed current method & Al-sacrificial anode method) was applied to sea water, and Cu-alloy material mixed Zn & Al was used as a control method of cavitation erosion-corrosion. In this study, used the piezoelectric vibrator with 20KHz, 24.mu.m to cavity generation apparatus, and investigated the weight loss, weight loss rate, electrode potential & current density etc. under this condition. According to test result, thos describes how to indentify an influence of the cathodic protection and Al & Zn addition in material development for the control of cavitation erosion-corrosion, and those will serve as fundamental data on the cavitation erosion-corrosion control of oceanic centrifugal pump.

초정밀 자기부상 이송장치의 부상제어기 개발 (Development of Levitation Control for High Accuracy Magnetic Levitation Transport System)

  • Recently, in the manufacturing process of flat panel displays, mass production methods of inline system has been emerged. In particular the next generation OLED display manufacturing process, horizontal inline evaporation process has been tried. It is important for the success of OLED inline evaporation process to develop a magnetic levitation transport system capable of transferring a carrier equipped with a mother glass with high accuracy without any physical contact along the rail under vacuum condition. In the case of existing wheel-based transfer system, it is not suitable for OLED evaporation process requiring high cleanliness. On the other hand, the magnetic levitation transport system has an advantage that it does not generate any dust and it is possible to achieve high-precision control because there are not non-linear factors such as friction force. In this paper, we introduce the high-precision magnetic levitation transport system, which is currently under development, for OLED evaporation process.

Verification of mechanical failure mode through corrosion test of a pump for soil sterilizer injection

  • Deteriorating soil physical properties and increasing soil pathogens due to the continuous cultivation of field crops are the leading causes of productivity deterioration. Crop rotation, soil heat treatment, and chemical control are used as pest control methods; however, each has limitations in wide application to domestic agriculture. In particular, chemical control requires improvement due to direct exposure to sterilizing solution, odor, and high-intensity work. To improve the overall domestic agricultural environment, the problems of time and cost, such as field maintenance and cultivation scale, must be addressed; therefore, mechanization technology for chemical control must be secured to derive improvement effects in a short period. Most related studies are focused on the control effect of the DMDS (dimethyl disulfide) sterilizer, and research on the performance of the sterilization spray device has been conducted after its introduction in Korea, but research on the corrosion suitability of the material is lacking. This study conducted a corrosion test to secure the corrosion resistance of a soil sterilizer injection pump, and a mechanical failure mode by corrosion by the material was established. The corrosion test comprised operation and neglect tests in which the sterilizing solution was circulated in the pump and remained in the pump, respectively. As a result of the corrosion test, damage occurred due to the weakening of the mechanical strength of the graphite material, and corrosion resistance to aluminum, stainless steel, fluororubber, and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) materials was confirmed.

지구와 달의 공전궤도를 고려한 달의 위상 변화 관찰 교구의 효과 (The Effect of Observing Material on the Phase Change of Moon Considering the Orbits of Earth and Moon)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 지구와 달의 공전 궤도를 고려한 달의 위상 변화 관찰 교구의 효과를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 지구의 공전 궤도와 $5^{\circ}$ 기울어진 달의 공전 궤도를 나타내는 달의 위상 변화 관찰 교구를 개발하였다. 그리고 이 교구의 효과를 확인하기 위해 제주시내 초등학교 6학년 110명의 학생을 실험집단과 비교집단으로 나누어 연구를 실시하였다. 실험집단 55명의 학생은 이 연구에서 개발한 달의 위상 변화 관찰 교구를 활용하여 수업을 진행하였고 비교집단 55명의 학생은 현행 교과서 활동으로 수업을 진행하였다. 실험집단과 비교집단의 학생들에게 달의 위상 변화에 대한 사전, 사후, 지연 개념검사와 개념수준별 반구조화된 면담을 실시하였다. 학생들의 응답에 따라 '위상 인지', '우주적 관점', '지구적 관점', '인지 불가'로 개념 수준을 구분하였다. 사전개념검사에서 t-검정 결과 실험집단과 비교집단은 동질 집단임을 확인할 수 있었다. 사후개념검사와 지연개념검사에서 실험집단은 비교집단보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높은 점수를 얻었다. 또한 실험집단은 비교집단보다 상위 개념 수준인 '위상 인지'에 속하는 학생 수가 많았다. 반구조화된 면담 결과 '위상 인지'와 '우주적 관점'에 속한 실험집단 학생들은 비교집단 학생들보다 달의 위상 변화에 대해 더 과학적으로 설명하였다. 이를 통해 지구와 달의 공전 궤도를 고려한 달의 위상 변화 관찰 교구가 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있다.

2종의 Ferrite가 혼합된 복합 Ferrite 전파흡수체의 정합주파수 제어 (Control of Matching Frequency of Ferrite Composite Microwave Absorber Consisted of Two Kinds of Ferrites)

  • The performance of ferrite composite microwave absorber has been evaluated as the matching frequency, the matching thickness and the band width. Especially, matching frequency is very important in application of microwave absorber because it determines operating frequency range. In this study, the ferrite composite microwave absorbers consisted Ni-Zn ferrite and Zn2Y ferroxplana were prepared in order to control matching frequency. Then, the variation of the material constants and microwave absorbing characteristics were investigated with various ferrite mixing ratio. The material constants of ferrite composite microwave absorber could be controlled by variation ferrite mixing ratio. Therefore, it was confirm that matching frequency of microwave absorber could be shifted by control of material constants.

유동제어를 통한 자동차용 피스톤-펀의 공정설계 (Process Design of Piston-Pin for Automobile by the Flow Control)

  • Flow defect of a piston-pin for automobile parts is investigated in this study. In combined cold extrusion of piston-pin, lapping defect, which is a kind of flow defect, appears by the dead metal zone. This appearance evidently happens in products with a thin thickness to be pierced for the dimensional accuracy and the decrease of material loss. The flow defect that occurs in piston-pin has bad effects on the strength and the fatigue life of piston-pin. Therefore, it is important to predict and prevent defects in the early stage of process design. The best method that can prevent flow defect is removing or reducing dead metal zone through material flow control. The finite element simulations are applied to analyze the flow defect. This study proposes processes for preventing flow defect by removing dead metal zone. Then the results are compared with the experimental ones for verification. These FE simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.

  • 영구자석의 반발력을 이용한 반송장치에서 캐리어를 받아 다음 스테이션으로 방향을 전환해주기 위한 회전판의 제어를 수행하기 위한 제어기로서 적당한 모터의 선정을 위하여 두 가지 형태의 제어기를 만들고 이를 비교하여 최적의 제어기를 선정하고자 하였다. 즉 스텝모터를 사용한 마이크로스텝방식의 오픈루프 제어와 DC모터를 사용한 폐루프 제어방식의 DC서보 방향제어기를 설계하고 제작하였다. 이 두 방식의 방향제어기의 성능과 제어특성을 비교하였다.

  • IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) is widely used in many applications such as an electric vehicle, compressor drives of air conditioner and machine tool spindle drives. In order to maximize the efficiency in such applications, this paper is proposed the optimal control method of the armature current. The controllable electrical loss which consists of the copper loss and the iron loss can be minimized by the optimal control of the armature current. The minimization of loss is possible to realize efficiency optimization control for the proposed IPMSM The proposed control algorithm is applied to IPMSM drive system, the operating characteristics controlled by efficiency optimization control are examined in detail by simulation.
