Over the past decades there has been a growing body of researches that examines the psychological traits related to safety outcomes. After briefly reviewing the relationships between psychological dispositions and safety outcomes, we empirically examine the relationships with 2 samples of 1,102 participants. Fifteen psychological dispositions (big 5 personality, locus of control, cognitive failure, affection from job and relations, 4 achievement goal orientations, self-efficacy, fatigue, and depression) and four psychological outcomes (safe behavior, unsafe behavior, accidents, and injuries) are examined. After covariance structure modeling variances of safety outcomes are well explained by simple 4 dispositions of consciousness, mastery-approach goal orientation, self-efficacy, and depression. We name them 'core safety disposition', and name four psychological outcomes 'safety consciousness', and the relationships between those latent variables are stronger than between measurement variables. We propose core safety disposition as a cause of safety consciousness, and discuss implications for research and practices.
This study aimed to analyse the mediating effects of learning attitudes in respect to the correlation between achievement goal orientation and learning flow. For the purpose, this study surveyed achievement goal orientation, learning flow and learning attitude of beauty specialized high school students located in Jeonnam with the use of a questionnaire. 335 copies of the answers were analysed with the use of the SPSS(PASW, ver 21.0). The results are presented as follows: Mastery approach of the achievement goal orientation and learning attitude had a significant effect on learning flow. It was discovered that learning attitude had a partial effect on the relations between mastery approach and learning flow, but it was reported that it had a complete mediating effect on the relations between performance avoidance and learning flow.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the Sport Talent Development Environment on the Achievement Goal in Sport of college athletes. The Sport Talent Development Environment (Martindale et al., 2010) had seven factors, but only four factors (long-term development, lack of quality preparation, communication, lack of understanding) were used after exploratory factor analysis. The Achievement Goals in Sport (Wang et al., 2007) was composed of four factors (mastery approach, mastery avoidance, performance mastery, performance avoidance). The results showed that 1)long-term development factor and communication factor of male athletes were significantly higher than female athletes while lack of understanding factor of female athletes were significantly higher than male athletes, 2)mastery avoidance factor of female athletes was significantly higher than male athletes, and 3)factors of development environment accounted for 27.8% to 34.5%-male athletes and for 13.2% to 22.7%-female athletes variance in the four achievement goals. Therefore, it is important for coaches and sport administrators to take these results into consideration when designing an effective talent development program.
The purpose of this study was to compare gifted and non-gifted high school students on their perceptions of success, grit, aspirations, and achievement goal orientation. Of the 550 high school students surveyed from 4 high schools (i.e., two schools for gifted, two school for non-gifted) in three metropolitan cities, Korea, 496 (i.e., 153 gifted and 343 non-gifted) completed and returned the questionnaire yielding a total response rate of 90.18%. Measures of students' grit (i.e., consistency of interest, and perseverance of effort), aspirations (i.e., intrinsic aspirations - physical fitness, self-growth, affiliation, community contribution, and extrinsic aspirations - financial success, image, fame), achievement goal orientation (i.e., mastery, performance approach and performance avoidance), and perceptions of success (i.e., Success in life is pretty much determined by forces outside our control.) were administered. It was found that the majority of gifted students and non-gifted students perceived that "success is outside our control.", and chose 'hard-working' as the most influential factor on their success. 60.4% of non-gifted students chose 'wealthy family background' as the other most influential factor, whereas only 48.2% of gifted did. Gifted students had higher 'consistency of interest' and 'mastery goals' than non-gifted students. Hierarchical multiple regression analyses showed that grit (i.e., perseverance of effort) was the crucial contributors for enhancing both gifted and non-gifted students' mastery goals and performance approach goals. Results are discussed in relation to theoretical implications and school settings.

The objectives of this study were to inquire the theories associated with YLD (Youth Leadership Development), and to draw implications for improving youth leadership abilities, The results of the inquiry revealed the theories associated with YLD as follows; 1. All youth have leadership potential and abilities, but there were few programs to improve it. 2. Activity-Observation-Reflection model of Hughes, Ginnett & Curphy(1993) and Awareness-Interaction-Mastery model of Linden & Fertman(1998) were the best effective YLD models. 3. Situational contingency approach was very appropriate theory associated with YLD. 4. The learning of leadership skills had occurred within an educational context known as experiential learning, so it was the best method of YLD.
This research exercise was undertaken in order to examine whether academic achievement, academic attitudes, achievement goals, and family process had an influence on beliefs about intellectual ability. The subjects were 434 junior-high school students in Seoul and Incheon. The results of this study indicated that 162 students with incremental beliefs had higher scores in all five sub-factors of academic attitudes, two sub-factors in their achievement goals (namely their mastery goals and approach performance goals), and four sub-factors of family process (closeness, monitoring, communication, and approval) than 155 students with entity beliefs. The results of the binary logistic regression analysis revealed that academic self-perceptions, attitudes towards teachers, goal values, approach performance goals, closeness, and communication factors significantly affected beliefs about intellectual ability.
Purpose: This study examines the market segmentation and strategy of PT INKA, a rolling stock manufacturer in Indonesia. Research design, data and methodology: The study used the MCDM (Multiple Criteria Decision Making) method specifically the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). The AHP method was applied to identify the target market. This method or approach considers the market attractiveness and competitive strength criteria with quantified parameters. Results: a) Australia, Kenya, Tanzania, New Zealand, and India emerge as the top five target markets; b) There is justification for rolling stock manufacturers to allocate their resources in winning the market share. Conclusion: The main challenge confronting the rolling stock manufacturer is limited resources to acquire a particular market share despite abundant opportunities in this sector. Despite the mastery of technology and long experience in the industry, selecting a target market with multiple criteria could be difficult for an emerging rolling stock manufacturer in South East Asia.
The purpose of this study was to investigate learners' reaction behaviors by the type of learning motive when teaching messages were delivered. The subjects of this study were 82 students from Auniversity and Buniversity in the metropolitan area. Students were online collaborative learning. The instructor delivered six messages. Since then, the researchers have measured the learner 's response time and the frequency and level of interaction. And analyzed using an independent sample t-test. As a result, the frequency and level of interaction increased before the message was delivered. The response time to instructional messages was the fastest among the students with performance avoidance goal orientation. Mastery goal orientation students were most sensitive to scaffolding messages. Performance avoidance goal orientation students responded most sensitively to the reminder message. Finally, Mastery goal orientation students had the most action on new topics. And performance approach goal orientation students had the most to do with accuracy and relevance.
The purpose of this study based on descriptive research is to examine the influences on the self-regulated learning ability due to nursing students' achievement-goal and to make sure mediating effect of autonomous support of professor. A convenience sample of 294 nursing students were recruited from a college in C province from April to May, 2018. Data are analyzed using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. As a result, it is turned out that there are positive correlation between mastery goal, performance approach goal, self-regulated learning ability and autonomous support of professor. In the Sobel test results, autonomous support of professor had a partial mediating effect between mastery goal and self-regulated learning ability(Z=3.922, p<.001). So, a new teaching method should be developed through the convergence of related factors of self - regulated learning ability.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of academic achievement and the achievement goal of students of Department of occupational therapy in Gyeongnam Province. 106 students in the department of occupational therapy filled out a questionnaire. For this study, Elliot & Church's Achievement Goal and GPA were used. The achievement goal was subdivided into the mastery goal, the performance approach goal, and the performance avoidance goal. The GPA from the previous semester was used. The results of this study were as follows. Female students received higher grades on all of the Achievement Goals than male. The results of the performance approach goal decreased as the students' class seniority increased. The performance approach goal showed academic achievement correlated positively with performance approach, but correlated negatively with the performance avoidance goal. The negative achievement goal got lower as the seniority of students increased. On the basis of these results, an educational approach is necessary for the positive achievement goal where an understanding of the students' individual characteristics are account for in the achievement goal.
