Objective : Bambusae Caulis in Liquamen has been used by East Asian doctors who approved efficient clinical effects of it since the early stage of medical history. It is commonly used for lifestyle related diseases including stroke in recent days thanks to the increasing number of manufacturers. However, products from pharmaceutical companies as well as food companies are not classified as Bambusae Caulis in Liquamen but Bamboo vinegar. This study aims to discern disparate manufacturing process. Methods : In this study, original texts were searched to corroborate the correct method to produce Bambusae Caulis in Liquamen. It is essential to inspect the original texts thoroughly in the course of modernizing traditional knowledge. Result : Discrimination between the two substances starts from manufacturing process; Bambusae Caulis in Liquamen is made under the temperature of less then $170^{\circ}C$, containing mild fragrance and sweet taste, and the Bamboo vinegar over $170^{\circ}C$ upto $400^{\circ}C$, carrying strong smoky scent and acidness. Although some researches show conforming clinical actions of both products, still there is a possibility that closer clinical study would reveal their discrepancy. Conclusion : Current use of Bambusae vinegar needs speculation. Authenticity in proper manufacturing process can be attained through passed-on medical texts.

Following the global financial crisis, the global value chain contracted, and characteristics of "reverse globalization" of the economy and trade gradually emerged. This is due to the term "reverse globalization" referring to a shift away from globalization. Within a short period of time, the phenomenon known as "reverse globalization" developed as an inescapable obstacle, coinciding with the development and dissemination of the COVID-19 virus. At some time in the distant future, the "reverse globalization" of economic trade and the "globalization" of the digital economy will co-dominate the shifting trend of the global economic landscape. This will happen gradually over time. The goal of this research is to look at the minor changes that happened in the methods and techniques used by the economic mechanism known as "globalization against the flow." It employs Chinese smart manufacturing companies as a model and proposes a digital drive model to investigate the prospects and constraints of smart manufacturing technology enterprise innovation development under "reverse globalization," with the goal of establishing a digital innovation development path. The theoretical insights given in this study have the potential to serve as a reference for China as it attempts to build a new growth pattern based on a double-cycle and promote a new type of globalization.

The study explores the evolving landscape of overseas expansion strategies by Korean corporations, focusing on recent geopolitical tensions, the COVID-19 pandemic, and disruptions in global supply chains. It emphasizes the challenges faced by industries producing high-value products and delves into the concept of "Friend-Shoring" policies in the United States, leading major Korean companies to invest in local semiconductor, battery, and automotive factories. Recognizing the potential fragmentation of Korea's manufacturing sector, the paper introduces the "Mother Factory" strategy as a policy initiative, inspired by Japan's model, to establish core production facilities domestically. The discussion unfolds by examining the cases of major companies in Japan and the United States, highlighting the need for Korea to adopt a mother factory strategy to mitigate risks associated with friend-shoring policies. Inspired by Intel's "Copy Exactly" approach, the paper proposes a Korean mother factory model integrating smart factory technology and digital twin systems. This strategic shift aims to enhance responsiveness to geopolitical challenges and fortify the competitiveness of Korean high-tech industries. Finally, the paper proposes a Korean Mother Factory based on smart factory concepts. The suggested model integrates smart factory technology and digital twin frameworks to enhance responsiveness and fortify competitiveness. In conclusion, the paper advocates for the adoption of a comprehensive Korean Mother Factory model to address contemporary challenges, foster advanced manufacturing, and ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of Korean high-tech industries in the global landscape. The proposed strategy aligns with the evolving dynamics of the manufacturing sector and emphasizes technological advancements, collaboration, and strategic realignment.
This study examines which factors are urging Korean companies to participate in e-marketplaces. By adding interorganizational factors, we extended an innovation-theory-based research model that is often applied to study the information technology adoption. 71 questionnaires from 720 Korean manufacturing companies were collected. Independent variables of the research were environmental, organizational, innovation, and interorganizational characteristics. We found that the environmental characteristics, innovation characteristics, and interorganizational characteristics have insignificant effect on the participation of domestic companies in e-marketplaces whereas the organizational characteristics have significant relationship with the participation in e-marketplaces. The result implies that many Korean companies take wait-and-see strategy in the forming stage of e-marketplaces, However, IT infrastructure and the support of top management for IT play very important role in adopting e-marketplaces.
Based on the concept of advertising expenditure, manufacturing firm performance, and enterprise life cycle, this research conducts the listed Chinese manufacturing listed in 2016-2018 as the research sampling and divides these listed companies into three periods: growth, maturity, and decline. Next, this paper conducts empirical research from three aspects: advertising expenditure or investment and manufacturing firm performance, lag effect of advertising expenditure, and outcome effect and lag effect of advertising investment. It is found that in different stages of manufacturing enterprises, different advertising expenditures will have different impacts on the performance of manufacturing enterprises. In the growth stage, the advertising investment of manufacturing enterprises will significantly affect the performance results of the current period, and there will be the long-term lag effect. In contrast, the mature stage of enterprises' advertising investment has a shorter period of lag effect, while in the recession stage, the mature stage of manufacturing enterprises' advertising investment will have a shorter period of lag effect. The empirical results are not significant. This study provides a reference for manufacturing enterprises in different stages in the decision-making of advertising investment.
This study examines the possibility of implementing the technology financing for export-import based small and medium sized enterprises. Our sample consists of 2,753 small and medium sized enterprises, receiving financial support from the Export-Import Bank of Korea for the period of 2011-2013. We find that only 400(200) firms reserve IPs(patents) annually. Given that IPs are likely to concentrate on manufacturer industries such as electronic components, computers, video, sound and communication equipment manufacturing(KSIC 26), other machinery and equipment manufacturing(KSIC 29), manufacture of motor vehicles and trailers(KSIC 31). We also find that the total assets, sales and R&D expenses of IP holding companies greatly exceeds those of companies without IPs. In addition, IP holding companies' liquidity seems slight edge and the leverage ratio is somewhat lower. However, profitability ratios of IP holding companies are rather than harsh or similar level. 20~30% of IP holding firms show very week credit scores, implying that banks' default risk is expected to be significant.

Inventory management is one of the important business functions for manufacturing companies to determine market responsiveness. Customers' needs are diversifying, and the life cycle of products is decreasing, thus increasing the importance of inventory management. However, for small-scale manufacturing companies, investing in an IT system for inventory management is practically difficult. In this study, we introduce an inventory and warehouse management model that can be applied simply and quickly in small-scale manufacturing companies. Firstly, we introduce the concept of the properties of inventory and provide an analytical methodology based on the age and quantity of the inventory. Secondly, in accordance with the properties of the inventory, we introduce location management rules for warehouse operation. To apply the proposed model, we studied a wallpaper manufacturing company and verified the applicability of the proposed methods in the field. The proposed model can be applied immediately as part of on-site improvement activities by small-scale manufacturing companies, and inventory management activities are expected to reduce bad long-term inventory and further secure storage capacity for warehouses.
With the advent of the 4-th industrial revolution, manufacturing companies have increasing interests in the realization of smart manufacturing by utilizing their accumulated facilities data. However, most previous research dealt with the structured data such as sensor signals, and only a little focused on the unstructured data such as text, which actually comprises a large portion of the accumulated data. Therefore, we propose an association rule mining based facility error pattern extraction framework, where text data written by operators are analyzed. Specifically, phrases were extracted and utilized as a unit for text data analysis since a word, which normally used as a unit for text data analysis, is unable to deliver the technical meanings of facility errors. Performances of the proposed framework were evaluated by addressing a real-world case, and it is expected that the productivity of manufacturing companies will be enhanced by adopting the proposed framework.
The technological innovation of IT manufacturing firms is the competitive tool for them to survive in the environment of an intensive competition. This technological innovation is critical in the survival of IT companies, but various factors should be considered to embody technological innovation effect. This paper aims to identify the determinant factors of the outcome which influence the technological innovation based on the IT companies, and set up a model for measuring technological innovation effect. A hypothesis was established for the impact relation between technological innovation effect, cooperative relation and government support level, which was verified through the structural equation model(SEM). As a result, the cooperation of IT companies and the governmental support affect the effectiveness of technological innovation. Eventually, government support for IT manufacturing firms derive business collaboration and continuous support is needed.
