This paper describes trajectory generation of a riobot arm by self-organizing neural networks. These neural networks are based on competitive learning without a teacher and this algorithm which is suitable for problems in which solutions as teaching signal cannot be defined-e.g. inverse dynamics analysis-is adopted to the trajectory generation problem of a robot arm. Utility of unsupervised learning algorithm is confirmed by applying the approximated solution of each joint calculated through learning to an actual robot arm in giving the experiment of tracking for reference trajectory.
An approach to robot force control, which allows force manipulations to be realized without overshot and overdamping while in the presence of unknown environment, is given in this paper. The main idea is to use dynamic compensation for known robot parts and fuzzy compensation for unknown environment so as to improve system performance. The fuzzy compensation is implemented by using rule based fuzzy approach to identify unknown environment. The establishment of proposed control system consists of following two stages. First, similar to the resolved acceleration control method, dynamic compensation and PID control based on known robot dynamics, kinematics and estimated environment compliance is introduced. To avoid overshoot the whole control system is constructed overdamped. In the second stage, the unknown environment stiffness is estimated by using fuzzy reasoning, where the fuzzy estimation rules are obtained priori as the expression of the relationship between environment stiffness and system response. Based on simulation result, comparisons between cases with or without fuzzy identifications are given, which illustrate the improvement achieved.

This paper proposes a realization of robust trajectory tracking for an industrial robot by using PD-sliding mode hybrid control. The PD control has a good performance in the transient period while the sliding mode control has robustness against the system uncertainties. The proposed control method is proposed for the control of a multi-joint robot by taking advantages of both the PD and sliding mode controls. The embodiment of distributed controllers that drive 4-DOF axes has evaluated through experiments with the multi-joint robot AT1. The PD-sliding mode algorithm which is proposed in this paper shows a good performance in the transient period and robustness against disturbances and This paper shows accuracy of end-effector.

In this paper, we proposed a new robust control scheme to implement stable control of robot manipulators including nonlinear perameters The proposed robust controller is composed of a nonlinear controller and linear compemsation controller. It shows a good robust performance in reaching mode which does not possess invariance property. Thus, the proposed nonlinear controller showed a good robust performance in the whole region, It was illustrated that the proposed control showed a good transient response and trajectory tracking performance for robot manipulator with four joint by experiments.
This paper presents a adaptive fuzzy control suitable for motion control of multi-link robot manipulators with uncertainties. When joint velocities are available, full state adaptive fuzzy feedback control is designed to ensure the stability of the closed loop dynamic. If the joint velocities are not measurable, an observer is introduced and an adaptive output feedback control is designed based on the estimated velocities. To reduce the number of fuzzy rules of the fuzzy controller, we consider the properties of robot dynamics and the decomposition of the unknown input gain matrix. The proposed controller is robust against uncertainties and external disturbances. The validity of the control scheme is demonstrated by computer simulations on a two-link robot manipulator.

This paper presents a new approach to the design of self-tuning adaptive control system that is robust to the changing dynamic configuration as well as to the load variation factors using Digital signal processors for robot manipulators. TMS320C50 is used in implementing real-time adaptive control algorithms to provide advanced performance for robot manipulator, In this paper, an adaptive control scheme is proposed in order to design the pole-placement self-tuning controller which can reject the offset due to any load disturbance without a detailed description of robot dynamics. Parameters of discrete-time difference model are estimated by the recursive least-square identification algorithm, and controller parameters we determined by the pole-placement method. Performance of self-tuning adaptive controller is illusrated by the simulation and experiment for a SCARA robot.

In general, the state of system can be effected by external noise and observed only through a noisy channel. Therefore we use the estimation technigue for the information of state of the system effected by noise. There are many filters such as kalman-Buchy filter, kalman filter, Extended Kalman filter algorithm, cononlinear, extended Kalman filter algorithm to the estimation of parameters is very useful and has a long history. Also a considerable number of applications of this method has been reported. In this paper, the robot control system is treated in stochastic optimal control because of the robots doing a complicated and accurate task in inapproate environment. We have conclusion that error covariance is converged and the stability of filtering is obtained.

We propose a new technique to design an unmaned integrating control system based-on Windows XP version off-Line Programming System which can simulate a dynamic model of robot manipulator in three dimensions graphics space in this paper. The robot with 4 and 6 axes modeled SM5 and AM1 respectively were adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed off-line program. The interface between users and the off$.$line programming system in the Windows XP's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for three dimensions graphics.
The problem of minimization of energy, consumed by the robot manipulator, is important, notably for larger manipulators, higher working speeds, and loads. Obviously, the stated problem requires the application of optimal control theory, which is being successfully applied for linear system and certain classes of nonlinear systems. However, the application of optimal control theory(in energy or time optimization) leads to substantial practical difficulties, so that significant simplifications are usually performed, either in model complexity or by neglecting the existing constraints. In this paper the problem of obtaining such an optimization method. which would take into account the complete system dynamics and all the constraints is considered. The only method found to be suitable for such a complex optimization should be based on dynamic programming.
The objective of this paper is to design a force feedback controller for bilateral control of a master-slave manipulator system using adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control. In a bilateral control system, the motion of the master device is followed by slave the one. While the force applied to the slave is reflected on the master. In this paper a proposed controller applied to the system. Adding a switching control term to the input robustness is improved. Also the knowledge of the system dynamics is not needed. The computer simulation results show the performance of the proposed adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller.
