In this paper, a compact and wideband CLAS(Conformal Load bearing Antenna Structure) was studied using smart skin technique. In order to satisfy the electrical performance of the CLAS antenna, the proposed CLAS antenna is composed of conductive mesh, face-sheet, radiator, honeycomb, housing. Especially, radiator is composed of composite magneto-dielectric material and radiating element etched on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board). The radiating element is inserted into the composite magneto-dielectric material and has sloted Folded LP(Log Periodic) structure. By fabricated composite magneto-dielectric, the resonance frequency is decreased and the impedance matching characteristics is improved. We verified that the antenna has wideband characteristics and compact size using the antenna test results.

Helical magneto-cumulative generator(HMCG)s are very useful devices in suppling pulsed high current to inductance loads. To apply fast high voltage pulses to high impedance loads, high current outputs of HMCGs are required to be conditioned to higher voltages by using various pulse components such as opening/closing switches and pulse transformer. In this paper, stepping with the trends of requirements for ever-increasing energy in pulsed power applications coupling methods is investigated to obtain higher output energy by connecting several HMCGs in series or parallel way. The coil dimension of HMCGs used in series or parallel connections was 50 mm in diameter and 150 mm in length. The coil was fabricated by using enamel-coated copper wire of 1 mm in diameter. The highest energy amplification ratio and peak voltage of load were achieved from the serially connected four-barrel HMCG system. They were 68 and 34 kV, respectively, when the initial energy of 0.36 kJ was supplied into that system with the load of 0.4 μH. Within the tested range of inductance ratio, energy amplification ratio was found to be highly dependent on the inductance ratio of serial- and parallel-connected HMCG systems to load, which to be optimal around 500 was turned out. The experimental results showed that the output energy and voltage of load are controlled by connecting HMCGs in series or parallel.

A great amount of effort has been devoted to the constant improvement of such basic performance as dirvability, safety and enviromental protection. As a result, the total combination of various technologies has made it possible to produce safer and more comfortable automobiles. Among these technologies, plasma and thin film techniques are mainly cocerned with sensors, optics, electronics and surface modification. This paper first describes a concept of thin film processing in materials synthesis for sensors based on particle-surface interaction during deposition to provide a long life sensor applicable to sutomobiles. Some examples of parctical application of thin films to sensors are then given. These include(1) a thin films strain gauge for gravity sensors, (2) a giant magneto resistance film for speen sensors, and (3) a Magneto-impedance sensors fordetection of low magnetic field. Further progress of sophisticated thin film technology must be considered in detail to explore advanced thin film materials science and to ensure the field reliability of future sensor devices for automobile.

In this paper, Quad-Band small antenna for GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, DCS1900 is designed and fabricated. The antenna achieved the size reduction of over 67.9 % than the conventional PIFA(Planar Inverted-F Antenna) by using a MD(Magneto-Dielectric) material. A simple feeding microstrip line is used to feed the antenna from a $50{\Omega}$ coaxial line, which is capacitively coupled to the grounded patch structure for broadband characteristics. The impedance bandwidth the proposed antenna shows good results as broadband characteristics of 1341 MHz (801 ~ 2142 MHz) in VSWR < 3 (${\leq}\;-6\;dB$) and the gain is -6.67 ~ 4.25 dBi in the operating frequency.
The effect of annealing temperature on the permeability and giant magneto-impedance (GMI) behaviors of $Fe_{68.5}Mn_{5}Si_{13.5}B_9Nb_3Cu_1$ amorphous alloy has been systematically investigated. The nanocrystalline $Fe_{68.5}Mn_{5}Si_{13.5}B_9Nb_3Cu_1$ alloys consisting of ultra-fine $(Fe,Mn)_3Si$ grains embedded in an amorphous matrix were obtained by annealing their precursor alloy at the temperature range from $500^{\circ}C\;to\;600^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour in vacuum. The permeability and GMI profiles were measured as a function of external magnetic field. It was found that the increase of both the permeability and the GMI effect with increasing annealing temperature up to $535^{\circ}C$ was observed and ascribed to the ultrasoft magnetic properties in the sample, whereas an opposite tendency was found when annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ which is due to the microstructural changes caused by high-temperature annealing. The study of temperature dependence on the permeability and GMI effect showed some insights into the nature of the magnetic exchange coupling between nanocrystallized grains through the amorphous boundaries in nanocrystalline magnetic materials.

The Cu(radius ra = $95{\mu}m$)/$Ni_{80}Fe_{20}$(outer radius $r_b$ = $120{\mu}m$) core/shell composite wire is fabricated by electrodeposition. The two diagonal components of impedance tensor for the Cu/$Ni_{80}Fe_{20}$ core/shell composite wire in cylindrical coordinates, $Z_{zz}$ and $Z_{{\theta}{\theta}}$, are measured as a function of frequency in 10 kHz~10 MHz and external static magnetic field in 0 Oe~200 Oe. The equations expressing the diagonal $Z_{zz}$ and $Z_{{\theta}{\theta}}$ in terms of diagonal components of complex permeability tensor, ${\mu}^*_{zz}$ and ${\mu}^*_{{\theta}{\theta}}$, are derived from Maxwell's equations. The real and imaginary parts of ${\mu}^*_{zz}$(f) and ${\mu}^*_{{\theta}{\theta}}$(f) spectra are extracted from the measured $Z_{zz}$(f) and $Z_{{\theta}{\theta}}$(f) spectra, respectively. It is presened that the extraction of ${\mu}^*_{zz}$(f) and ${\mu}^*_{{\theta}{\theta}}$(f) spectra from the diagonal impedance spectra can be a versatile tool to investigate dymanic magnetization process in the core/shell composite wire.
We have constructed the magneto-operational amplifier(MOP) using the advantages of Hall device and an operational amplifier. The MOP necessarily requires a high impedance circuit, a differential-to-single-ended convert-sion circuit and feedback-input-element for operational amplifier characteristics. We have presented a new differential-to-single-ended conversion operational amplifier(DSCOP) having such characteristics. We have designed the MOP using the DSCOP and Hall device and simulated its characteristics, and finally we have constructed the system with discrete elements, and measured its magnetic characteristics.
The frequency dependence of magnetoimpedance (MI) effect in amorphous $Fe_{78}B_{13}Si_9$ alloy has been obtained. Magnetoimpedance (MI) effect is a high-frequency phenomenon, which describes the changes of impedance in any ferromagnetic sample, when a magnetic field is applied on it. MIR (Magnetoimpedance ratios) is defined as $\Delta$ Z/Z ≡ [Z (0) / Z ($H_s$)]-1 where $H_s$ is the saturating field along the long side of the sample, The MIR of the samples annealed in vacuum has been decreased normally except that the sample annealed at 5 MHz has been reached as much as 58%.

Theoretical considerations on a giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect in amorphous ribbons (i.e., thin films) have been made in terms of the expressions of effective permeability and impedance derived in the frame of classical electrodynamics and ferromagnetism. The dependence of GMI effect on the external do magnetic field (H$\_$ext/) and the frequency of alternating current are simulated and discussed in the knowledge of energy conversion consisting of the current energy loss, the ferromagnetic energy consumption, and the magnetic energy storage in the film. The obtained results are summarized as follow: (a) As frequency f< 20 ㎒, the real part of effective permeability (${\mu}$′) changes slightly. The peak of the ${\mu}$′curve always locates at H$\_$ext/=H$\_$ani/ - the anisotropy field. However, the peak value of ${\mu}$′ tends to increase with increasing frequency in the frequency range of 11-20 ㎒. (b) In the frequency range, f= 21-23 ㎒, a negative peak additionally appears. Meanwhile, both the positive and negative peak values rapidly increase with increasing frequency and their peak positions shift towards a high H$\_$ext/. (c) The positive peak value of ${\mu}$′ starts to decrease at f= 29 ㎒ and its negative peak does so at about 35 ㎒. Then, both peaks keep such a tendency and their peak positions move to high H$\_$ext/, as increasing frequency. (d) The dependence of the imaginary part of effective permeability (${\mu}$") on the external dc magnetic field and the frequency of the alternating field indicates that there is only one peak involved in ${\mu}$" for the whole frequency range. (e) The impedance vs. magnetic field curves at various frequencies show that there is a critical value of frequency around f= 18-19 ㎒ where the transition between two frequency regimes occurs; the one (low frequency) in which ${\mu}$′ predominantly contributes to the GMI effect and the other (high frequency) in which ${\mu}$" determines the GMI effect.
