In the research and development processes of new product, the design objects are frequently redesigned on the basis of experimental results. Most of the conventional CAD systems are based on the computer simulation to reduce the number of redesign. However, these types of CAD systems do not have the functions to infer the cause of trouble in experiments of mock-up and the redesign counterplan of new product. This paper proposes a methodology to establish the DESYR ver. 1(Design Expert SYstem for Research and development) system, which possesses the engineering model of design object in the model database, and refines the model on the basis of experimental results of the prototype. The blackboard inference model has been applied to infer the redesign counterplan. And the validity of DESYR ver. 1 system has been verified by developing the new type of magnetic bearing.
In this study, the generating of torque regarding the Control Moment Gyro (CMG) is proportional to the angular velocity of gimbal. This is the case because gimbal affects the attitude control of the satellite directly, and it is necessary to reduce the incidence of torque ripple of gimbal. In this paper, the cause of the torque ripple of gimbal is reviewed and mathematically modeled by assuming the friction imbalance of bearing, the magnetic field and the phase current imbalance of the motor. We are able to confidently estimate the modeling parameters of gimbal disturbance using a constant speed test, and then analyze the influence of applying feedforward control to our modeling. Additionally, the simulation results show that the torque ripple and angular velocity fluctuations are reduced when apply this modeling to the identified study parameters. Finally, we present the disturbance reduction technique using our disturbance modeling.
Purpose: Ischiofemoral impingement (IFI)-primarily diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-is an easily overlooked disease due to its low incidence. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of false profile view as a screening test for IFI. Materials and Methods: Fifty-eight patients diagnosed with IFI between June 2013 and July 2017 were enrolled in this retrospective study. A control group (n=58) with matching propensity scores (age, gender, and body mass index) were also included. Ischiofemoral space (IFS) was measured as the shortest distance between the lateral cortex of the ischium and the medial cortex of lesser trochanter in weight bearing hip anteroposterior (AP) view and false profile view. MRI was used to measure IFS and quadratus femoris space (QFS). The receiver operating characteristics (ROC), area under the ROC curve (AUC) and cutoff point of the IFS were measured by false profile images, and the correlation between the IFS and QFS was analyzed using the MRI scans. Results: In the false profile view and hip AP view, patients with IFI had significantly decreased IFS (P<0.01). In the false profile view, ROC AUC (0.967) was higher than in the hip AP view (0.841). Cutoff value for differential diagnosis of IFI in the false profile view was 10.3 mm (sensitivity, 88.2%; specificity, 88.4%). IFS correlated with IFS (r=0.744) QFS (0.740) in MRI and IFS (0.621) in hip AP view (P<0.01). Conclusion: IFS on false profile view can be used as a screening tool for potential IFI.
Detailed geological mapping, petrographic study, analyses of geochemistry and magnetic susceptibility, and K-Ar dating were carried out in order to determine the origin, age, and stratigraphic implications of granitic rock fragments in the pyroclastic rocks, SE Jinhae city, southern part of the Gyeongsang Basin. As a result, it was found that the area is composed of volcanics and tuffaceous sediments of the Yucheon Group, Bulguksa granites, pyroclastics bearing granitic rock fragments, $basalt{\sim}basaltic$ andesite, and rhyolite in ascending stratigraphic order. The granitic rock fragments in the pyroclastic rocks are divided into granodiorite and biotite granite, which have approximately the same characteristics as the granodiorite and the biotite granite of the Bulguksa granites, respectively, in and around the study area including color, grain size, mineral composition, texture (perthitic and micrographic textures), intensity of magnetic susceptibility (magnetite series), and geochemical features (calc-alkaline series and REE pattern). This leads to the conclusion that the rock fragments originated from the late Cretaceous Bulguksa granites abundantly distributed in and around the study area, but not from the basement rocks of the Yeongnam massif or the Jurassic granites. Based on relative and absolute ages of various rocks in the study area, the pyroclastics bearing granitic rock fragments are interpreted to have erupted between 52 and 16 Ma, i.e. during the Eocene and early Miocene. These results indicate that the various volcanisms, acidic to basic in composition, occurred after the intrusion of the Bulguksa granites, contrary to the general stratigraphy of the Gyeongsang Basin. Very detailed and cautious mapping together with relative and absolute age determinations are, thus, necessary in order to establish reliable stratigraphy of the Yucheon Group in other areas of the Gyeongsang Basin.

The University of Cordoba conducts since 1991 a breeding program to obtain new olive cultivars from intraspecific crosses. The objective is to obtain new early bearing and high-quality cultivars. In plant breeding, many seedlings must be tested to increased the chance of getting desirable genotypes. Therefore, fast, cheap and accurate methods of analysis are necessary. The conventional laboratory techniques are costly and time-consuming. Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) can satisfy the characteristics requested by plant breeders and offers many advantages such as the simultaneous analysis of many traits and cheap cost. The objective of this work was to asses the performance of NIRS to estimate oil fruit components (fruit weight, flesh moisture, flesh/stone ratio and oil flesh content in dry weight basis) and fatty acid composition in olive fruit. Genotypes from reciprocal crosses between ‘Arbequina’, ‘Frantoio’ and ‘Picual’ cultivars have been used in this study. A total of 287 samples, each from a single plant, were scanned using a DA-7000 Diode Array VIS/NIR Analysis System (Perten Instruments), which covers the visible and NIR range from 400-1700 nm. All samples were analysed for fatty acid composition (gas chromatography) and 220 for oil fruit components (oil content by nuclear magnetic resonance), 70% and 30% of samples were randomly assign for the calibration and validation sets respectively. The preliminary results shows that calibration for palmitic, oleic and linoleic acids were highly accurate with calibration and validation values of $r^2$ from 0.85 to 0.95 and 0.76 to 0.91 respectively. Calibration for palmitoleic and estearic acids were less accurate, probably because of the narrow range of variability available for these fatty acids. For the oil fruit components, calibration were high accurate for flesh moisture and oil flesh content in dry weight basis ($r^2$ higher than 0.90 in both calibration and validation sets) and less accurate for the other characteristics evaluated. The first results obtained indicate that NIRS analysis could be an ideal technique to reduce the cost, time and chemical wasted necessary to evaluate a large number of genotypes and it is accurate enough to use for pre-selecting genotypes in a breeding program.

Objective : Hyperostosis in meningiomas can be present in 4.5% to 44% of cases. Radical resection should include aggressive removal of invaded bone. It is not clear however to what extent bone removal should be carried to achieve pathologically free margins, especially that in many cases, there is a T2 hyperintense signal that extends beyond the hyperostotic bone. In this study we try to investigate the perimeter of tumour cells outside the visible nidus of hyperostotic bone and to what extent they are present outside this nidus. This would serve as an initial step for setting guidelines on dealing with hyperostosis in meningioma surgery. Methods : This is a prospective case series that included 14 patients with convexity meningiomas and hyperostosis during the period from March 2017 to August 2018 in two university hospitals. Patients demographics, clinical, imaging characteristics, intraoperative and postoperative data were collected and analysed. In all cases, all visible abnormal bone was excised bearing in mind to also include the hyperintense diploe in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) T2 weighted images after careful preoperative assessment. To examine bony tumour invasion, five marked bone biopsies were taken from the craniotomy flap for histopathological examinations. These include one from the centre of hyperostotic nidus and the other four from the corners at a 2-cm distance from the margin of the nidus. Results : Our study included five males (35.7%) and nine females (64.3%) with a mean age of 43.75 years (33-55). Tumor site was parietal in seven cases (50%), fronto-parietal in three cases (21.4%), parieto-occipital in two cases (14.2%), frontal region in one case and bicoronal (midline) in one case. Tumour pathology revealed a World Health Organization (WHO) grade I in seven cases (50%), atypical meningioma (WHO II) in five cases (35.7%) and anaplastic meningioma (WHO III) in two cases (14.2%). In all grade I and II meningiomas, bone biopsies harvested from the nidus revealed infiltration with tumour cells while all other bone biopsies from the four corners (2 cm from nidus) were free. In cases of anaplastic meningiomas, all five biopsies were positive for tumour cells. Conclusion : Removal of the gross epicentre of hyperostotic bone with the surrounding 2 cm is adequate to ensure radical excision and free bone margins in grade I and II meningiomas. Hyperintense signal change in MRI T2 weighted images, even beyond visible hypersototic areas, doesn't necessarily represent tumour invasion.

O-2-$^{18}F$-fluoroethyl-l-tyrosine ($[^{18}F]FET$) has been widely used for glioblastomas (GBM) in clinical practice, although evaluation of its applicability in non-clinical research is still lacking. The objective of this study was to examine the value of $[^{18}F]FET$ for treatment evaluation and prognosis prediction of anti-angiogenic drug in an orthotopic mouse model of GBM. Human U87MG cells were implanted into nude mice and then bevacizumab, a representative anti-angiogenic drug, was administered. We monitored the effect of anti-angiogenic agents using multiple imaging modalities, including bioluminescence imaging (BLI), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET/CT). Among these imaging methods analyzed, only $[^{18}F]FET$ uptake showed a statistically significant decrease in the treatment group compared to the control group (P=0.02 and P=0.03 at 5 and 20 mg/kg, respectively). This indicates that $[^{18}F]FET$ PET is a sensitive method to monitor the response of GBM bearing mice to anti-angiogenic drug. Moreover, $[^{18}F]FET$ uptake was confirmed to be a significant parameter for predicting the prognosis of anti-angiogenic drug (P=0.041 and P=0.007, on Days 7 and 12, respectively, on Pearson's correlation; P=0.048 and P=0.030, on Days 7 and 12, respectively, on Cox regression analysis). However, results of BLI or MRI were not significantly associated with survival time. In conclusion, this study suggests that $[^{18}F]FET$ PET imaging is a pertinent imaging modality for sensitive monitoring and accurate prediction of treatment response to anti-angiogenic agents in an orthotopic model of GBM.

Purpose: This study was based on the Korean Foot and Ankle Society (KFAS) member survey and aimed to report the current trends in the management of syndesmotic injuries over the last few decades. Materials and Methods: A web-based questionnaire containing 36 questions was sent to all KFAS members in September 2021. The questions were mainly related to the preferred techniques and clinical experiences in the treatment of patients with syndesmotic injuries. Answers with a prevalence ≥50% of respondents were considered a tendency. Results: Seventy-six (13.8%) of the 550 members responded to the survey. The results showed that the most preferred method to diagnose a syndesmotic injury was magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Intraoperatively, the external rotation stress test and the Cotton test were most frequently used to confirm syndesmotic diastasis. The reduction was usually done by a reduction clamp. One 3.5-mm screw was used most frequently over three cortices at 2~4 cm above the ankle joint. The preferred ankle position during fixation was 0° dorsiflexion. Removal of the syndesmotic screw was routinely done by most surgeons, mainly because of the limitation of movement and risk of screw breakage. Factors that affect suture button selection included non-rigid fixation which enables adequate fixation, early weight-bearing, and an infrequent need to remove the hardware. Inadequate reduction was considered the main factor that affects poor prognosis. Conclusion: This study proposes updated information about the current trends in the management of syndesmotic injuries in Korea. Consensuses in both the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to patients with syndesmotic injury were identified in this survey study. This study may raise the awareness of the various possible approaches toward the injury and should be used to further establish a standard protocol for the management of syndesmotic injuries.

This study investigated the water leaching behavior of vanadium in Na2CO3-roasted vanadium-bearing titaniferous magnetite (VTM) concentrate. The magnetic concentrate and Na2CO3, mixed in a mass ratio of 4:1, were roasted at 1050 ℃, kept for 3 h, and ground to a size of D50 = 48.79 ㎛ using a rod mill. The effects of leaching temperature and pulp density on water leaching were then investigated. The results show that the vanadium leaching efficiency decreased to 90.4%, 88.2%, and 83.8% as the temperature increased to 25, 55, and 85 ℃, respectively, whereas it remained almost constant 90.4%, 87.0%, and 87.0% as the pulp density increased to 10, 50, and 100 w/v%, respectively. Based on the preliminary leaching results, multi-stage leaching was conducted with the experimental conditions of 25 ℃, 100 w/v%, 300 rpm, and 1 h. The vanadium concentration in the final leaching solution was determined as 16.20 g/L after four stages of leaching. Thus, a high-concentration sodium vanadate solution was prepared by multi-stage leaching.
The Myoungbong mine located in Boseong-gun, Jellanamdo consists of Au-Ag bearing quartz veins which filled the fissures of Bulguksa granitic rocks of Cretaceous. The tailings obtained from the Myungbong mine were used to investigate the effects of various processes, such as oxidation of primary sulfides and formation(alteration) of secondary and/or tertiary minerals, on arsenic immobilization in tailings. This study was conducted via both mineralogical and chemical methods. Mineralogical methods used included gravity and magnetic separation, ultrasonic cleaning, and instrumental analyses(X-ray diffractometry, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, and electron probe microanalyzer) and aqua regia extraction technique for soils was applied to determine the elemental concentrations in the tailings. Iron (oxy)hydroxides formed as a result of oxidation of tailings were identified as three specific forms. The first form filled in rims and fissures of primary pyrites. The second one precipitated and coated the surfaces of gangue minerals and the final form was altered into yukonites. Initially, large amounts of acid-generating minerals, such as pyrite and arsenopyrite, might make the rapid progress of oxidation reactions, and lots of secondary minerals including iron (oxy)hydroxides and scorodite were formed. The rate of pH decrease in tailings diminished, in addition, as the exposure time of tailings to oxidation environments was prolonged and the acid-generating minerals were depleted. Rather, it is speculated that the pH of tailings increased, as the contribution of pH neutralization reactions by calcite contained in surrounding parental rocks became larger. The stability of secondary minerals, such as scorodite, were deteriorated due to the increase in pH, and finally arsenic might be leached out. Subsequently, calcimn and arsenic ions dissociated from calcites and scorodites were locally concentrated, and yukonite could be grown tertiarily. It is confirmed that this tertiary yukonite which is one of arsenate minerals and contains arsenic in high level plays a crucial role in immobilizing arsenic in tailings. In addition to immobilization of arsenic in yukonites, the results indicate that a huge amount of iron (oxy)hydroxides formed by weathering of pyrite which is one of typical primary minerals in tailings can strongly control arsenic behavior as well. Consequently, this study elucidates that through a sequence of various processes, arsenic which was leached out as a result of weathering of primary minerals, such as arsenopyrite, and/or redissolved from secondary minerals, such as scorodite, might be immobilized by various sorption reactions including adsorption, coprecipiation, and absorption.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
