  • There were fifty two kinds of fermented soybean sauce before 17th century thirteen recorded in ${\ulcorner}$Sangayorock${\lrcorner}$, two in ${\ulcorner}$Sasichanyo${\lrcorner}$, one in ${\ulcorner}$Yongjechongwha${\lrcorner}$, nine in ${\ulcorner}$Soowonjabbang${\lrcorner}$, one in ${\ulcorner}$Domoondaejak${\lrcorner}$, six in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyoebogam${\lrcorner}$, four in ${\ulcorner}$Gushangchalyo${\lrcorner}$, five in ${\ulcorner}$Guhwangboyubang${\lrcorner}$, two in ${\ulcorner}$Yorock${\lrcorner}$, four in ${\ulcorner}$Chisengyoram${\lrcorner}$ and five in ${\ulcorner}$Joobangmoon${\lrcorner}$. These books had thing to know when making fermented soybean sauce like kinds of soybean sauce, how to make it, its ingredients and quantities to be used, how to make fermented soybean sauce in haste, and how to remake wrong made fermented soybean sauce, etc. Before 17th century, fermented soybean malt was divided into two kinds the only soybean malt and the mixed soybean malt that had bean, wheat, wheat flour and wheat bran. The bean only soybean malt was further divided into mashed soybean malt (Beans were steamed and mashed into past.) and unmashed soybean malt (Beans maintained their shape without being mashed.) while mashed soybean malts were made in Winger, in January of February, unmashed and mixed soybean malts were made in Summer, in July. When made fermented soybean sauce, mashed and unmashed soybean malts were used as they were and mixed soybean malt was dried and powdered for use. Fermented soybean sauce before 17th century could be classified by the features of soybean malts being used, Normal fermented soybean sauce was made from bean only soybean malts and other ingredients. Shi(시) was made from unmashed soybean malts, in which beans maintained their shape, and Gowhajang and Jeupjang were made from mixed soybean and wheat bran. Fermented soybean sauce was also made from old fermented soybean sauce, yeast. water leftover after boiling bean leaves, and soybean chaff without soybean malt. There were also side dish type soybean sauce like Kongjaban today and fish and meat sauce made from flesh ingredients. To make fermented soybean sauce in haste, the soybean sauce was heated. Beside there were how to maintain fermented soybean sauce and how to remake wrong made fermented soybean sauce.

  • We studied the 3D simulating shapes of the flared skirt using NARCIS-Drape Simulation software made in Korea D&M FT. The experimental conditions were made of three types of cuttings (lengthwise, crosswise, 45 bias) and polyester fabrics for flared skirt (light, medium, heavy) and different simulating repetitions (1, 2, ${\cdots}$, 9, 10 times). We accomplished some experimental data on the 3D simulating shapes of the flared skirt made by different conditions. The 3D simulation shapes of the flared skirts were gradually getting stabilized from 5 repetitions. And the length of skirts and the width and depth of hems diminished lower by degrees as the simulating repetitions. It is considered that the simulating repetition for the flared skirt was appropriate in the range of 8 to 10 times. But it was not reasonably showed that the difference in the drape of the flared skirt was made by different cuttings and fabrics.

  • This research shows problems of modem Mourning Garments used in Gwangju area compared to traditional ones. Researches are as fellowed; First, items of mourning garments have been not used by degrees. Male has worn Jung-Dan and Du-ru-mak-i as Pyo-Eui of male mourning garments. Second, mourning garments have been simplified and modified. These simplification in shape and uniformity in size are only far Mass production and convenient manufacture. Third, modem mourning garments are made of 6-su (thin) Hemp cloth. In fact this material has no hemp and is just made of cotton and chemical textiles. Even though it is not made of hemp, it has been sold with the name of Hemp Cloth. Materials should be clearly listed. Forth, traditional mourning garments are manufactured through needlework while modern ones through mass production. Now the former is expensive rather than the latter. So Mass produced garments would be preferred to traditional made ones.

  • The high resolution of positron emission tomography, in particular, requires the use of detector crystals of narrow width but still with sufficiently high detection efficiency. If the crystal width is reduced to several millimeters, degradation of detection efficiency and leakage coefficient becomes significant, particularly in case of obliquely incident photons. Alleviation of such a problem can be made possible by modification of the detector shape from the conventional rectangular type to a wed농e type. The Proposed wedge shape makes the absorption length longer for obliquely incident photons, thus increasing the detection efficiency and suppressing leakage coefficient. For the BGO detectors of 4-8mm width, the computer simulation result of the system using wedge detectors reveals resolution improvement to the system using conventional detectors. For the system composed of 200 BGO detectors of 8mm width with 2 point sampling motion, the simulation resolution system using conventional detectors. For the very high resolution system of 3-7mm FWHM, the characteristics of the detector shape and size is studied by computer simulation.

  • In this study thermal stress generated in three ingot moulds(GC25) during the solidification process of aluminum were analyzed by the two-dimensional thermo-elasto-plastic theory. In temperature analysis, all of the three models are shown steep temperature rising each case in initial stage of cooling. In thermal stress analysis, all of three models took compressible stress on inside wall of the mould, and tensible along with on out side. Model 2 take place less compressible, tensible stress then model 1. But model 3. have similar as thermal stress as model 2. The analysis will made one possible to calculate an optimum mould shape whose thermal stress gradient becomes minimum.

  • In this investigation, experimental attempts were made to observe and determine the variations in elastic of the PVC depending on the amounts of MBS added to the mixture, PVC/MBS, and also on the thicknesses of the specimens. An acoustic resonance technique was used for the tests in this investigation. It serves as a method to characterize properties of materials set in vibrational motions, which is initiated by low level stresses generated by externally supplied acoustic energy. Substantial variations were observed in the test results with the addition of the MBS to the PVC. It was found that the magnitudes of elastic constants decrease when MBS rubber was added in the range up to 9 phr and the shape factor effect in torsional vibration is more significant than the shape factor effect in flexural vibration.

  • The test results for water repellency of paper and paperboard according to KS M 7057 can readily be influenced by an operator's bias. In order to discard such bias, the automatic analysis program of water repellency was developed based on different shape features of a liquid trace formed on a specimen. That is, the shape of a liquid track flowing down on the specimen with an angle of $45^{\circ}$ was evaluated according to width variation between head and tail of the trace($S_{Hr}$), uniformity of a liquid flow($S_{d}$), length of long traces($L_{SHr}$), eccentricity of liquid traces($E_{i}$), and then was recognized as a specific degree of water repellency. Finally, the automatic analysis system of water repellency based upon KS M 7057 made it possible to readily measure water resistance of paper and paperboards classified into R0 to R10.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a new method to determine the initial billet for the forged products using a function approximation in neural networks. the architecture of neural network is a three-layer neural network and the back propagation algorithm is employed to train the network. By utilizing the ability of function approximation of neural network, an optimal billet is determined by applying nonlinear mathematical relationship between shape ratio in the initial billet and the final products. A volume of incomplete filling in the die is measured by the rigid-plastic finite element method. The neural network is trained with the initial billet shape ratio and that of the un-filled volume. After learning, the system is able to predict the filling region which are exactly the same or slightly different to results of finite element method. It is found that the prediction of the filling shape ratio region can be made successfully and the finite element method results are represented better by the neural network.

  • It is very difficult to partially describe the hull shape made up of 3-dimensional free form surface. With computerizing skill in ship design, the geometric modeling technique has been developed. In hull shape modeling, the blending technique has not yet been adapted to the hull shape surface has a variable curvature. By adapting the blend surface, small surface on drawing plane is to be softly blended with given hull surface and a projecting part. This study has adapted to the ship design one of the blending methods by which offsets data of the blend surface can be obtained by the input of blend radius on two base surfaces.

  • Observing the unique stress-strain curves of the superelastic shape memory alloy (SMA) in tension and compression, the primary intention of this study is to investigate the behavior of the shafts made of the same material, under torsional loading-unloading cycles for large angle of twist. Experiments have been performed for the superelastic SMA shafts with different unsupported lengths and angles of twist and the results are compared with those of stainless steel (SUS304) shafts under similar test conditions. As expected for the superelastic SMA, the residual strains are small enough after each cycle and consequently, the hysteresis under loading-reverse loading is much narrower than that for the SUS304. For large angle of twists, the torsional strength of the superelastic SMA increases nonlinearly and exceeds that of SUS304. Most interestingly, the slender solid superelastic SMA shafts are found to buckle when acted upon torsion for large angle of twist.
