The absorption wavelength of the protonated retinal Schiff base can be controlled by the surrounding environment. An external anion is related to fine adjustment of the absorption wavelength. The addition of anion to retinochrome solution caused blue shift in spectra. The increase of the shift was dependent on the ion concentration. The large shift value was obtained as 20 nm at the saturated concentration of nitrate. The shift intensity for the nitrate addition exceeded that of chloride. Seemingly, it depends on the ionic strength or lyotropic character of the anion. However, neither of sulphate nor gluconate ion showed remarkable blue shift. These phenomena were accounted for with (1) delocalization of the positive charge in the conjugated polyene system, (2) ionic bonding strength between the counter ion (glutamate) and the proton, and/or (3) interaction of the added anion with the proton on Schiff base.

등방상에서는 폴리파라페닐렌테레프탈아미드(PPD-T)와 히드록시 프로필 셀룰로오 스(HPC)가 비슷한 유변학적 거동을 보였다. 그러나 이방성에서는 네마틱상을 형성하는 PPD-T와 콜레스테릭상(또는 꼬인 네마틱상)을 형성하는 HPC는 상이한 유변학적 특성을 나타냈다. 이방상을 나타내는 임계농도(C*)이상의 농도에서 Herchel-Bulkey 모델에 의해 얻 어진 항복응력을 보면 HPC의 경우 농도에 관계없이 거의 일정한 값을 나타낸 반면PPD-T 의경우에는 농도증가와 더불어 항북응력값이 크게 증가하였다. 또한 PPD-T가 일\ulcorner거으로 HPC보다 큰값의 항복응력을 나타냈다. 진동수 1 rad/s 에서는 PPD-T와 HPCahen 탄성계 수 G＇/2G＂가 농도의 증가와 더불어 증가하엿다. 그러나 100rad/s 에서는 HPCdmlruddn 임계농도이상의 농도에서 농도증가와 더불어 탄성계수값이 단순감소한 반면 PPD-T의 경우 에는 포화농도(B-point)이상의 농도에서 농도증가와 더불어 탄성계수값이 계속적으로 증가 하였다. HPC의 경우 저장탄성률이 변형정도의 영향을 받지 않았으나 PPD-T의 경우에는 저장탄성률이 변형정도에 매우 민감하였다.

A simple, inexpensive and less time consuming electrochemical methods were carried out to prepare ordered mesoporous cobalt films. Ordered mesoporous cobalt films were successfully synthesized by templated electrodepostion of hexagonal $H_1$-e Co ion. The electrodeposited mesopores films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), low angle X-ray diffraction (XRD) and voltammetric methods. The applicability of thin films as high - performance super capacitors electrode materials is demonstrated electrochemically using cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique.

치환도(DS) 그리고 몰치환도(MS)가 각각 2.47~2.52 그리고 4.9~7.8 범위에 있는 4 종류의 N,O-히드록시프로필 키토산들(HPCTOs)을 합성함과 동시에 이들의 분자특성과 열방성 및 유방성 특성을 검토하였다. MS는 DS에 비해 대단히 큰 경향을 나타냈다. 이러한 사실은 반응이 진행됨에 따라 프로필렌 옥사이드는 주사슬보다 곁사슬들에 우선적으로 부가됨을 시사한다. 모든 유도체들은 열방성 콜레스테릭 상들을 형성하였다. 유리 그리고 액정 상에서 액체 상으로의 전이 온도들은 MS가 증가함에 따라 낮아졌다. 열방성 콜레스테릭 상들의 광학피치들(${\lambda}_m$'s)은 온도가 상승함에 따라 증가하였다. 그러나 유도체들이 동일한 온도에서 나타내는 ${\lambda}_m$들은 MS가 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 고분자의 농도가 30 wt% 이상인 HPCTO들의 물, 메탄올, 에탄올, 아세트산 그리고 포름산 용액들도 고분자의 농도가 증가함에 따라 ${\lambda}_m$이 지수 함수적으로 감소하는 콜레스테릭 상들을 형성하였다. 그러나 HPCTO 용액들의 ${\lambda}_m$의 농도의존성은 용매의 성질과 MS에 민감하게 의존하였다. HPCTO들의 열방성과 유방성 액정 상의 특성들은 히드록시프로필 셀룰로오스들에 대해 보고된 결과들에 비해 현저히 달랐다. 이러한 결과들은 C-2 위치에 존재하는 2차 아미노기가 콜레스테릭 상의 형성능, 안정성 그리고 ${\lambda}_m$의 온도와 농도의존성에 중요한 역할을 함을 시사한다.

Effects of sodium salts of various monovalent inorganic anions on transdermal permeation of salicylic acid were investigated.
