Most engineers interested in stress singularities have focused mainly on the research of power stress singularities for v-notched cracks in dissimilar materials. The logarithmic stress singularity was discussed a little in Bogy's paper. The power-logarithmic stress singularity was reported by Dempsey and Sinclair. It was indicated that the logarithmic singularity is only a special case of power-logarithmic stress singularities. Then, Dempsey reported specific cases which have power-logarithmic singularities even fur homogeneous boundary conditions. It was known that logarithmic stress singularities for v-notched cracks in dissimilar materials occurs when the surfaces of a v-notched crack have constant tractions. In this paper, using the complex potential method, the stresses and displacements having logarithmic stress singularities were obtained and the coefficients vectors were calculated by a numerical program code: Mathematica. It was shown that our analysis models don't have logarithmic stress singularities under the constant tractions, although the coefficient vectors are existing.
In this paper, we investigate the relations between the growth of meromorphic coefficients and that of meromorphic solutions of complex linear differential-difference equations with meromorphic coefficients of finite logarithmic order. Our results can be viewed as the generalization for both the cases of complex linear differential equations and complex linear difference equations.

The roughness coefficients were estimated by the Manning's equation for the measured stage and flow velocity of Bocheong stream basin in Kum river. The relationships between the estimated roughness coefficients and the geomorphologic factors were formulated by the linear, logarithmic, exponential and power type function, thereafter correlation equations were presented. The correlation analysis was performed between the measured stream length and the basin area of Bocheong stream basin by the linear, logarithmic, exponential and power type function, and correlation equation for the stream length was given. The roughness coefficient has strong correlationship with stream slope, but low correlation coefficients with stream length and basin area. For the correlationship with the roughness coefficients and the stream slope, the logarithmic type function has the smallest correlation coefficient, on the other hand, the exponential type function has the largest correlation coefficient. For the relationship between the stream length and the basin area, the correlation coefficient of the logarithmic type function shows the smallest value, linear type function shows the largest value.
During the last decade, several papers have focused on linear q-difference equations of the form ${\sum}^n_{j=0}a_j(z)f(q^jz)=a_{n+1}(z)$ with entire or meromorphic coefficients. A tool for studying these equations is a q-difference analogue of the lemma on the logarithmic derivative, valid for meromorphic functions of finite logarithmic order ${\rho}_{log}$. It is shown, under certain assumptions, that ${\rho}_{log}(f)$ = max${{\rho}_{log}(a_j)}$ + 1. Moreover, it is illustrated that a q-Casorati determinant plays a similar role in the theory of linear q-difference equations as a Wronskian determinant in the theory of linear differential equations. As a consequence of the main results, it follows that the q-gamma function and the q-exponential functions all have logarithmic order two.
Let 𝓤+ be the class of analytic functions f such that ${\frac{z}{f(z)}}$ has real and positive coefficients and f-1 be its inverse. In this paper we give sharp estimates of the initial coefficients and initial logarithmic coefficients for f, as well as, sharp estimates of the second and the third Hankel determinant for f and f-1. We also show that the Zalcman conjecture holds for functions f from 𝓤+.
We investigate the Hurwitz stability condition using the coefficient diagram. The coefficient diagram consists of a plot of logarithmic values of the coefficients of the characteristic polynomial versus the degree of the coresponding coefficients. The logarithmic value of the coefficient of the characteristic polynomials are plotted in the descending order. Using the Bhattacharyya, Chapellat and Keel's algorithm, the sufficient and necessary condition for Hurwitz stability are reconstructed using the coefficient diagram. With the coefficient diagram we also present some necessary or sufficient conditions for Hurwitz stability of polynomials. In addition we obtain a lower bound for the Manabe parameter $\tau$.

In general ships and FPSOs, roll damping is very small and consequently roll motion is very large at the roll resonance frequency. Proper evaluation of the roll damping coefficient at the resonance frequency is an important task in the study of roll motion and usually it is done by the analysis of free roll decay tests. The relative decrement method based on energy relation has been used mainly for the evaluation of roll damping coefficient from the roll decay test so far. As another method, the logarithmic decrement method based on equivalent linear decay assumption can be used for the same purpose and it is relatively simple. In this paper, both of the relative decrement method and the logarithmic decrement method are used for the evaluation of roll damping coefficient including quadratic damping from the free roll decay tests, and their results are cross-checked for verifying the obtained damping coefficients. Through applications to a box-type floating body equiped with bilge keels, it is shown that the two methods give almost the same damping coefficients in a practical view point and the cross-check of their results is to be a good tool to prevent a possible error. And also the quantitative effects of the bilge keels on the roll damping of box-type floating body are shown and discussed.

As device dimensions are lastly scaled down, impact ionization(I.I.) events are very important to analyze hot carrier transport in high energy region, and the exact model of impact ionization is demanded on device simulation. We calculate full band model by empirical pseudopotential method and the impact ionization rate is derived from modified Keldysh formula. We calculate impact ionization coefficients by full band Monte Carlo simulator to investigate temperature-and field-dependent characteristics of impact ionization for GaAs. Resultly impact ionization coefficients are In good agreement with experimental values at 300k. We know energy is increasing along increasing the field. while energy is decreasing along increasing the temperature since the phonon scattering rates for omission mode are very high at high temperature. The logarithmic fitting function of impact ionization coefficients is described as a second orders function for temperature and field. The residuals of the logarithmic fitting function are mostly within 5%. We know, therefore, logarithm of impact ionization coefficients has quadratic dependence on temperature and field, and we can save time of calculating the temperature- and field-dependent impact ionization coefficients.

Magnetic viscosities of a commercialized metal evaporated tape were measured as a function of sweeping rate in VSM at room temperature. Within several seconds in the viscosity measurement, curves are downward concave and more concave with increasing sweeping rate when magnetization were plotted as a logarithmic function of time. However, magnetization varied as a logarithmic function of time after several seconds. Magetic viscosity coefficient gradually increased with increasing sweeping rate and then kept a constant value at a rate faster than 61.5 Oe/s. It was supposed that magnetic viscosity occurs during field sweeping, which was in good agreement with Sharrock's model qualitatively. Activation volume decreased with increasing sweeping rate, which was due to the fact that magnetic viscosity coefficients increased with sweeping rate while irreversible susceptibilities were not affected by sweeping rate.
