The purpose of this study was to investigate and verify interaction effects of collaboration and brand origin as well as fashion involvement on consumer attitudes towards global sports apparel brands and Chinese local sports apparel brands targeting Chinese consumers. A survey was conducted on 425 Chinese women aged 19 to 34 years. Data were subjected to frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t-tests, 3-way ANOVA, and simple effect analysis. Results of the study are as follows. First, fashion involvement, collaboration, and brand country of origin all had a significant effect on consumer preference of Chinese consumers when purchasing sportswear. Second, fashion involvement and collaboration in purchasing sportswear had a significant interaction effect on consumer preference. Finally, collaboration, brand origin, and fashion involvement showed significant three-way interaction effects on Chinese consumers' preferences. Results of this study can help establish an efficient marketing strategy for Chinese local sportswear brands, which are fiercely competing with global sportswear brands in the Chinese market because they can examine Chinese consumers' attitudes toward sportswear brands. To accurately compare global and local sportswear brands, it must be assumed that there are no differences in brand preferences among consumers. However, as this study selected each brand as the research brand ranked as the top preference, this aspect was not taken into consideration. Therefore, in future research, it is necessary to consider differences in brand preferences and conduct the study accordingly.

Recently, studies on orientation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) dispersed in nematic liquid crystal (LC) and CNTs effects on electro-optic characteristics of the LC device have been performed. In this paper, we summarize interaction nature between CNT and LC, local distortion of the LC director field by motion of CNTs, and effects on electro-optic performances of LC device.

An unstructured mesh method has been developed for the simulation of steady and time-accurate flows around helicopter rotors. A dynamic and quasi-unsteady solution-adaptive mesh refinement technique was adopted for the enhancement of the solution accuracy in the local region of interest involving highly vortical flows. Applications were made to the 2-D blade-vortex interaction aerodynamics and the 3-D rotor blades in hover. The interaction between the rotor and the airframe in forward flight was investigated by introducing an overset mesh technique.

A global-local finite element modeling technique is employed in this paper to predict the fatigue life of radial truck tires. This paper assumes that a flaw exists inside the tire, in the local model. The local model uses an FEM fracture analysis in conjunction with a global-local technique in ABAQUS. A 3D finite element local model calculates the energy release rate at the belt edge. Using the analysis of the local model, a study of the energy release rate is performed in the crack region and used to determine the crack growth rate analysis. The result considers how different driving conditions contribute to the detrimental effects of belt separation in truck tire failure. The calculation of the total mileage on four sizes of radial truck tires has performed on the belt edge separation. The effect of the change of belt width design on the fatigue lifetime of tire belt separation is discussed.

본 연구는 국내 어린이도서관 문화프로그램의 사회적 효과를 측정하여 어린이도서관의 사회적 가치를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 초등학생 511명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 어린이도서관 문화프로그램의 사회적 효과를 측정하였다. 분석 결과 개인적 영역의 표현력/창의력, 자존감, 즐거움/기쁨/행복과 사회적 영역의 문화예술태도와 문화예술경험변화 및 사회적 상호작용으로 친구관계 증대, 지역커뮤니티 생성과 강화, 지역사회 소속감/공동체성, 지역사회참여 등의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 근거로 어린이도서관은 어린이의 삶의 질을 향상하고, 사회적 상호작용 역량의 향상, 지역사회 공동체 유지 및 지역커뮤니티 생성과 강화, 지역애착과 지역 활동 참가에 영향을 미치는 중요한 사회자본으로 가치를 가진다고 볼 수 있다.

The experiment was conducted on 69 cows to identify the quantitative variations of some economic traits of five genetic groups as $Local{\times}Friesian $ $F_1$, $Local{\times}Sahiwal$ $F_1$, Local (indigenous zebu type), $Local{\times}Sindhi $ $F_1$, and $Local{\times}Hariana$ $F_1$. The traits studied were age at weaning, age at first heat, age at first conception, services per conception, daily milk yield, lactation length, lactation yield and post partum heat period. The records on milking and reproduction performances of cows and heifers were obtained from farm register and by interviewing the farmers. It was observed that the lowest age at weaning, age at first heat and age at first conception were $5.37{\pm}0.24$, $27.17{\pm}1.72$ and $27.83{\pm}1.82$ months respectively in $Local{\times}Hariana$ $F_1$. Services per conception were lowest in $Local{\times}Sahiwal$ $F_1$ $(1.08{\pm}0.18)$ although not significantly (p>0.05) affected by farms, genetic groups and $farm{\times}genetic$ groups interaction. Average daily milk yield was highest in $Local{\times}Friesian$ $F_1$ $(5.81 {\pm}0.40 kg)$. Lactation length and lactation yield were highest in $Local{\times}Sahiwal$ $F_1$ ($299.38{\times}9.74$ days and $1863.00{\pm}141.00kg $ respectively). Average post partum heat period was lowest in $Local{\times}Sindhi$ $F_1$ ($3.19{\pm}0.38$ months). Least squares ANOVA showed that farm had significant (p<0.001) effect on age at weaning, age at first heat, age at first conception and post partum heat period. There was insignificant (p>0.05) effect of farm on services per conception, daily milk yield, lactation length and lactation yield, whereas genetic groups had a significant effect for all the traits under review except services per conception. $Farm{\times}genetic$ groups interaction was insignificant for all of the traits under consideration except age at weaning.

The icebreaking research vessel ARAON performed ice field tests during her 2016 Arctic voyage. The ship is subjected to ice loads through ice-ship interaction processes. Local ice load acting on ARAON's bow section was measured by using stain gauges installed on the inner hull plates and transverse frames of bow section. In this paper the local ice loads at transverse frames estimated from shear strain data were compared to ice loads from hull plate pressures by using the influence coefficient method. In addition to the analysis of local ice loads, the characteristics of peak ice loads with the ship speed is also discussed. It is recommended that the local ice loads estimated by calculating shear forces acting on transverse frames may be useful in estimating local ice loads on the hull of ship.

Elliptical tubes may buckle in an elastic local buckling failure mode under uniform compression. Previous analyses of the local buckling of these members have assumed that the cross-section is hollow, but it is well-known that the local buckling capacity of thin-walled closed sections may be increased by filling them with a rigid medium such as concrete. In many applications, the medium many not necessarily be rigid, and the infill can be considered to be an elastic material which interacts with the buckling of the elliptical tube that surrounds it. This paper uses an energy-based technique to model the buckling of a thin-walled elliptical tube containing an elastic infill, which elucidates the physics of the buckling phenomenon from an engineering mechanics basis, in deference to a less generic finite element approach to the buckling problem. It makes use of the observation that the local buckling in an elliptical tube is localised with respect to the contour of the ellipse in its cross-section, with the localisation being at the region of lowest curvature. The formulation in the paper is algebraic and it leads to solutions that can be determined by implementing simple numerical solution techniques. A further extension of this formulation to a stiffness approach with multiple degrees of buckling freedom is described, and it is shown that using the simple one degree of freedom representation is sufficiently accurate for determining the elastic local buckling coefficient.

This article aims to explore the interactive roles of types of primed identity (local versus global identity) and types of ad framing on brand evaluations. The authors designed 2 experiments in which each experiment followed a $2{\times}2$ between-subject design. The empirical results showed that a gain-framed ad induced more positive emotional responses than a loss-framed ad, and the positive affective responses lead to more favorable brand evaluation. Furthermore, the results showed that there were interactive effects of primed identity and types of advertisement frame on brand evaluation. In the additional analysis, the results showed that when people with local identity were exposed to the gain-framed ad, they would engage in a higher level of integration processing than those in the control group, which in turn induced more favorable evaluation to the local brand. That is, the integration processing mode played a mediating role between the interaction (local id priming ${\times}$ ad frame) and the local brand evaluation. However, in the case of global brand evaluation, the integration processing mode did not play such a mediating role.
