Purpose: The role and facilities of public health centers responsible for local health are becoming increasingly important due to recurring infectious diseases such as COVID-19. With sudden outbreaks of infectious diseases, the infrastructure of public health center facilities like screening clinics are constructed varies depending on local conditions. resulting in discrepancies between intended usage and actual usage. Establishing guidelines for infectious disease response facilities that can be efficiently used within local communities is necessary. Methods: Field surveys are conducted at 6 public health centers to gather insights into the essential rooms, circulation patterns, and key considerations for space planning in screening clinics. Results: Ten design considerations emerge from the data, including spatial requirements, circulation guidelines, and considerations for accommodating diverse user needs and local conditions. Implications: Further research is needed to translate these guidelines into prototypes of temporary facilities.

Recent studies of galaxy clusters have shown that the galaxy clusters in dense environment tend to have lower star formation rate in local universe with z < 1. However, this correlation is not significant in galaxy clusters with z > 1. The study of galaxy clusters around z=1 can yield insight into cosmological galaxy evolution. Nevertheless, the identification of galaxy clusters beyond the scope of immediate local universe requires wide field data in optical and near-infrared bands. By incorporating data from Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Legacy Survey(CFHTLS) and Infrared Medium-Deep Survey(IMS), the photometric redshifts of galaxies in CFHTLS W2 field were calculated. Using spatial distribution and photometric redshifts, the galaxies in the field were divided into redshift bins. The image of each redshift bin was analyzed by measuring the number density within proper distance of 1Mpc. By comparing high density regions in consecutive redshift bins, we identified the cluster candidates and mapped the large-scale structure within the CFHTLS W2 field.

To screen several promising red pepper cultivars, may be adaptable to organic cultivation conditions, seventy six F1 hybrids commercial and eight local purebred red pepper cultivars were tested. Comparing the infection rate of phytophthora blight between commercial (F1 hybrid) and local (Purebred) cultivars, average infection rate of commercial cultivars was 9.8% and that of local cultivars was 17.8%. But the infected fruits rate of anthracnose in field were similar as 3.3% in commercial (F1 hybrid) and 3.1% in local (Purebred) cultivars. In yield characteristics, average yield of commercial cultivars was 2.89 t $ha^{-1}$ and that of local cultivars was 2.22 t $ha^{-1}$. For organic pepper farmers it is more favourable to cultivation purebred cultivars because they can save to the same quality plant next year's crop. In this study among the local purebred cultivars, two cultivars are promising that their yield near to 3 t $ha^{-1}$ and have disease field resistance.

Purpose: According to various medical publications, it is believed that epinephrine should not be injected in fingers. However numerous articles show the successful use of local anesthetic with epinephrine in the digits. Epinephrine-mixed lidocaine solution enables to maintain a bloodless field for operation and provides long duration of local anesthesia when patient was wide awake. Methods: From May 2009 to December 2009, ten patients underwent flexor tendon reconstruction with local anesthesia using epinephrine. No tourniquet was necessary. Before operation, all patients were injected with local anesthetics using 1% lidocaine 20 mL and 0.1% epinephrine 0.1 mL. Results: There was no case of digital necrosis nor gangrene in the epinephrine injection. All 10 patients actively could move the finger through a full range of motion. All procedures were performed without sedation nor tourniquet and we could obtain a good vision of operative field and patients were comfortable. The patient make his or her fingers move through a full range of active motion before the skin is closed. Phentolamine was not required to reverse the vasoconstriction in any patients. Conclusion: The assertation that epinephrine should not be injected into the fingers is clearly no longer valid. The epinephrine injection allowed the authors to adjust flexor tendon surgery without risks associated with general anesthesia. It also enables to ensure longer anesthetic duration and bloodless operative field, and prevent post operative complications. In case of flexor tendon surgery, the use of epinephrine injection is recommended because of the advantages of local anesthesia.

The orders in a quaternion algebra play a central role of the theory of Hecke operators. In this paper, we study the arithmetic properties of optimal embeddings of orders in a quaternion algebra over a dyadic local field.

The optical properties of individual 3-to 14-micron diameter CdS crystalline spheres embedded in poly(methyl methacrylate) were studied using elastic scattering. The presence of well defined sharp peaks in the 550 to 600 nm elastic scattering spectra confirmed that each microcrystal acts as an optical cavity with cavity quality factors exceeding 104. Such natural resonator microcrystals should lead to greatly enhanced local field effects near the surface of CdS, quantum electrodynamic modification of optical transition rates of nearby species and altered photochemistry. Absorptive heating following high intensity laser irradiation was found to induce a transient washout of the high Q modes.

국내 현장실습의 양적 성장과 더불어 글로벌 현장실습에 대한 관심이 높아지고 정부와 대학의 참여도 증가하는 추세이다. 대학생의 글로벌 현장실습은 학생들에게 선진기업의 발달된 기술과 경험뿐만 아니라 글로벌 역량을 필요로 하는 산업 수요에 적합한 외국어 능력과 글로벌 문화를 습득할 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로써 글로벌 마인드 및 전공 실무능력 배양, 궁극적으로 해외 취업까지 연계시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이러한 글로벌 현장실습을 위해서는 학생의 전공과 관련 있는 기업체 발굴 및 현장실습 커리큘럼 개발, 학생의 안전을 포함한 복합적인 지원이 필요하나 대학의 자원은 매우 제한적인 부분만 가능한 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 외국의 파트너대학과 연계한 현장실습 프로세스 개발 진행으로 글로벌 현장실습을 활성화 시킬 수 있는 방법을 금오공과대학교 사례를 중심으로 제안하였다.

Flow structures in an axial compressor with a non-uniform tip clearance were predicted by solving a simple prediction method. For more reliable prediction at the off-design condition, off-design flow characteristics such as loss and flow blockage were incorporated in the model. The predicted results showed that flow field near the design condition is largely dependent on the local tip clearance effect. However overall flow field characteristics are totally reversed at off-design condition, especially at the high flow coefficient. The tip clearance effect decreases, while the local loss and flow blockage make a complicated effect on the compressor flow field. The resultant fluid induced Alford's force has a negative value near the design condition and it reverses its sign as the flow coefficient increases and shows a very steep increase as the flow coefficient increases.

This paper deals with the prebreakdown phenomena of $SF_{6}$ gap stressed by non-oscillating and oscillating impulse voltages in a strong inhomogeneous field disturbed by a fred needle shaped-protrusion on the earth-side electrode. The breakdown voltage-time characteristics were measured for both positive and negative polarities and over the gas pressure range of 0.1∼0.5 MPa, and the temporal developments of the 77breakdown were observed by a shunt of 50 n. The dependence of the leader stopping time on the gas pressure were obtained. The local field enhancement due to the space charges, which is produced by the streamer corona, has influence with the electrical breakdown of the test gap. The test streamer corona is oxy a necessary condition for the electrical breakdown and the subsequent ionization activities launch the leader at the local field region.
