  • In this research, model tests for in-situ Top-Base Foundation are carried out in other to investigate the load delivering mechanism and the incremental effect of bearing capacity. According to the result of model tests, the load-settlement curves of both in-situ Top-Base(In-situ TBF) and Precast Top-Base Foundation(PC-TBF) showed similar results in term of the ground movement and effect of bearing capacity. Also, the range of vertical stresses delivered into ground was decreased with Top-Base method regarding other types foundations.

  • The present precast top-base method create many problems of requiring it plant facilities, transportation and installation, due to the heavy weight of and it takes too long time to set it up on site. In order to improve and solve these problems, in-situ Top-Base method is developed. It include processes that install Top-Base mold made of poly-ethylene into ground, then pouring concrete into the mold, and fill the rest gaps with broken stones. Considerable advantages can be obtained by applying in-situ Top-Base method in aspects of the stability, economical and construction efficiency. In this research, model tests for in-situ Top-Base system are carried out in other to the investigate the load delivering mechanism and the effect of bearing capacity.

  • In this paper, a six degree-of-freedom robot arm which is very light but capable of delivering heavy loads was studied. The proposed robot arm has much higher load capacity than conventional robot arms actuated by motors with speed reducers such as the harmonic drive since a new type of robot actuator based on a closed chain mechanism driven by the ball screw was adopted. Analysis on the design scheme and on the mechanism of the joint actuator of the robot arm were made. Since the robot arm was designed very light, it has deflection in the links. To analyze this, a finite element analysis on the structure of the designed robot links was made using ANSYS software. Verifying experiments on the performance of high load capacity of the robot arm was performed by loading heavy weights on the robot arm. Through experiments. the correctness of the numerical analysis was also verified.

  • The network coding mechanism has attracted much attention because of its advantage of enhanced network throughput which is a desirable characteristic especially in a multi-hop wireless network with limited link capacity such as the device-to-device (D2D) communication network of 5G. COPE proposes to use the XOR-based network coding in the two-hop wireless network topology. For multi-hop wireless networks, the Distributed Coding-Aware Routing (DCAR) mechanism was proposed, in which the coding conditions for two flows intersecting at an intermediate node are defined and the routing metric to improve the coding opportunity by preferring those routes with longer queues is designed. Because the routes with longer queues may increase the delay, DCAR is inefficient in delivering real-time multimedia traffic flows. In this paper, we propose a network coding-aware routing protocol for multi-hop wireless networks that enhances DCAR by considering traffic load distribution and link quality. From this, we can achieve higher network throughput and lower end-to-end delay at the same time for the proper delivery of time-sensitive data flow. The Qualnet-based simulation results show that our proposed scheme outperforms DCAR in terms of throughput and delay.

  • There are some technical problems in current internet-broadcasting. The load of server rises in proportion to user connection. And the inefficient usage of network bandwidth deteriorates quality of services and doesn't transport multimedia data in real time. To overcome above problems, multicast transport technology is applied to real-time multimedia data transport. But the reliability problem is still remained. This paper provides an efficient design of internet broadcasting server. We propose an multimedia data transport algorithm using adaptive encoding by grouping users according to similar connection environment. Performance evaluations show that the mechanism decreases the load of server and improves the quality of services.

  • Real-time video multicast using a single computer system is a difficult task because capturing, compressing and delivering video causes a long delay in internetworking environments. This paper describes an implementation of the real time video multicasting server which processes video capture, compression and multicasting in parallel. This paper also presents a flow control mechanism to solve a problem caused by difference between the three tasks.
