This study delves into how interactive elements in live streaming e-commerce influence consumer emotions and purchase intentions. By employing literature review and empirical analysis methods, we analyzed various interactive factors in the live streaming e-commerce environment and revealed the process through which these factors stimulate audience emotions and lead to specific purchasing behaviors. The results confirm that the interactive appeal of live streaming e-commerce significantly influences consumers' positive emotional responses, consequently enhancing purchase intentions. This study aims to explore the relationship between the interactive features of live streaming e-commerce and consumer emotional responses and purchase intentions, thereby filling theoretical gaps in the field of live streaming e-commerce and proposing new marketing theories. • Purpose Live streaming commerce refers to the fact that people receive live audio and live video directly over the net. While some e-retailers use Live Streaming as a marketing strategy, the impact of live streaming commerce on customers' reuse intentions is unknown. The purpose of this study is to discuss the impact of live streaming commerce by external environmental factors based on S-O-R theory. Design/methodology/approach In this study, we developed a research model based on the S-O-R theory. Using the questionnaire survey method, consumers who used live streaming commerce on Taobao.com were taken as research subjects. Our research model aims to find out how content attributes, real-time interactions, media characteristics, and situational characteristics as stimulus factors influence consumers' perceptions and thus reuse intentions. Findings The results of the analysis show that external environmental factors have a significant impact on consumer perceptions and that perceived risks and flows can influence consumers' reuse intentions. In addition, we also examined the impact of reuse intentions on consumers' active participation. These results show that live streaming commerce can influence consumer perceptions and behavior in several ways.

  • A growing number of fashion brands and retailers are actively adopting live streaming as a new marketing channel. In spite of the increasing use of live commerce, the effects of live streaming commerce on customer purchasing behavior for fashion products are not fully understood. The purpose of this study is to examine factors affecting consumers' attitudes toward a purchase via fashion live streaming commerce (FLSC) and intention to use FLSC. The study also investigated whether consumers' expenditure on fashion and time spent on mobile shopping moderate the relationships among research variables. A total of 230 questionnaires were analyzed through descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, and multiple-group comparison tests using SPSS and AMOS. A summary of the main results of this study is as follows. First, the perception of the attributes of FLSC (ease of use, economic efficiency, interactivity, and enjoyment) has a positive effect on attitude toward a purchase via FLSC. The ease of use and economic efficiency of FLSC, in particular, have greater impacts on attitudes than other factors. Secondly, attitudes toward FLSC positively impact the intention to use FLSC. Lastly, the results of group comparisons, by fashion expenditure and time spent on mobile shopping respectively, hold no significant moderation effects among the variables. These findings demonstrate that consumers are more likely to use FLSC as they form a positive attitude by the attributes of FLSC mentioned earlier. The study provides some insights on an exploration of live streaming commerce for fashion product sales.

  • Purpose: Live commerce is a new type of electronic commerce in combination with live streaming services. It is expected to increase virtual presence in the context of online shopping by overcoming a lack of social interactions between sellers and buyers which have been raised as a limitation in electronic commerce. Drawing on the studies of communication media, this study examines how live commerce contributes to the increase of virtual presence which consists of telepresence and social presence. Telepresence refers to a buyer's perception that he or she is present at the physical shopping mall during live shopping streaming whereas social presence refers to a buyer's perception of social interaction with a seller which is human warm, social, sensitive, and personal. In this study, we verify key determinants of virtual presence and its consequences. More specifically, this study proposes virtual presence contributes to the increase of buyers' trust in products and further purchase intentions. Furthermore, we verify influential factors of virtual presence from the technical and influencer perspectives of live commerce. Design/methodology/approach: To test the proposed hypotheses, the partial least squares (PLS) analysis is conducted with a total of 250 data collected on users with experience in the TaoBao live streaming shopping platform. Findings: The results show that first, telepresence and social presence are increased by visibility, media richness and attractiveness in the context of live shopping streaming. Second, buyers' trust in product trust and purchase intentions are positively influenced by telepresence and social presence. Finally, buyers' trust in product has a direct, positve effect on their purchase intentions. Overall, the findings offer new insights into the studies of electronic commerce by introducting the concepts of virtual presence and media richness from the literature of communication media in the field of live commerce.

  • Purpose: This study examines the relationship between content characteristics and customer viewing and purchase intention in live-streaming commerce. Research design, data, and methodology: For this purpose, seven independent factors such as entertainment, artistry, storytelling, informativity, interactivity, reliability, and technicality are extracted based on previous literature. The viewing intention and purchase intention are adopted as dependent factors. The role of 'immersion' is investigated as a mediating factor between the independent and dependent factors. Results: The results showed that entertainment, artistry, technicality, and reliability significantly affected immersion, and immersion affected viewing intention and purchase intention. Immersion was found to play a mediating role between content characteristics and consumer viewing and purchase intention. Conclusions: The results indicate that the content characteristics not only attract customers but also affect their immersion, viewing intention, and purchase intention directly or indirectly in the live-streaming commerce sector.

  • With the advance of ICT technology, E-Commerce is getting popular and used widely in daily life. Nowaday's commercial videos are also being used extensively to introduce commercial products to consumers. Most commercial companies are advertising their products on the internet with images and videos through online sharing sites. Putting pre-recorded videos online is easy, but it is difficult for sellers to interact with customers. Live Streaming is the transmission of digital content directly to the Internet in real time. Although there are many services available that provide live streaming on the internet, most are limited in the content they transmit. Building live streaming servers using open source projects will help users master the content which conveys to their customers. In this paper, we will consider implementation of Live Streaming Server for Video Commerce using Open Source.

  • Live-streaming commerce is attracting attention as a noticeable trend in the retail industry. It is a new mobile shopping service platform developed by combining live streaming with e-commerce technologies. This study examined the impact of para-social interactions on consumer impulse buying behavior and investigated the impact through task complexity as well as perceived amount of information. To achieve this goal, 203 women using a mobile commerce participated in an online survey after experiencing beauty live-streaming commerce. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0, AMOS 23.0, and SPSS PROCESS Macro program. The results of the study revealed that para-social interactions negatively influenced task complexity, positively influenced perceived amounts of information, and positively influenced impulse buying behavior. In addition, impulse buying behavior was negatively influenced by task complexity versus positively that was influenced by perceived amounts of information. The impact of para-social interactions on impulse buying behavior is mediated by task complexity and perceived information. The findings of this study contribute to the theoretical extension of para-social interaction on impulse buying behavior in the context of live-streaming commerce. The implications of the findings suggest practical marketing strategies for digital media commerce retailers.
