Objective : To make comprehensive picture of clinical trials using moxibustion and their results by today, then help a strategy for moxibustion-derived clinical studies in the future. Methods : Surveyed literatures containing randomized controled clinical trial (RCT) from PubMed and Korean journals. Analysis was performed according to distribution mainly by study subject, target diseases, study design, and its efficacy. Results : Fifty two literatures were selected according to inclusion criteria of randomized controled clinical study. Moxibustion-derived RCT have been rapidly increased from 2003 since the first was published in China in 1992. The main subjects of RCT are associated with immunity, cancer, arthritis, chronic colitis and urogenital disorders, which are connected to cold-elated pathogenesis. The average number of subjects was 94, and direct-moxibustion was mainly applied. The control groups were set up by giving conventional therapy, herbal medicine, acupuncture or only observation. The most of RCTs showed positive results. Conclusions : This study would be helpful for designing or conducting RCTs to develop the scientific development of moxibustion.

Objective: Through the literatures on the effects of Buthus martensii Karsch, we are finding out the clinical possibility and revealing the more effctive to intractable diseases. Method: We investigated the literatures of Oriental Medicine and experimental reports about Buthus martensii Karsch. Results: 1. The taste of Buthus martensii Karsch is salty, hot and toxic, and the effect of this is tetanus, headache, facial palsy and convulsion. 2. The venom of Buthus martensii Karsch is anaesthetic and toxic protein, composed of buthotoxin, lecithin, trimethylamine, betaine, taurine, cholesterol, stearic acid and palmitic acid and similar to the snake venom. 3. The pharmacological effects ofButhus martensii Karsch are anti-convulsion, depressor, anesthesia, anti-thrombosis and anti-cancer. 4. Symptoms of Buthotoxin poisoning are local pain, vomiting, fever, hypertension and palpitaion, and critical condition to Dyspnea, coma and death.

Tetralogy of Fallot associated with a single pulmonary artery is a rare cardiac anomaly. In previously reported cases, left pulmonary arteries were absent except 2 cases. Congenital absence of the pulmonary valve is a rare anomaly too. In the majority of cases, this lesion is associated with TOF. TOF associated with a single pulmonary artery and absent pulmonary valve is a very rare anomaly and only less than 20 cases were reported in the literatures. We have operated on one patient with TOF associated with absent right pulmonary artery and rudimentary pulmonary valve, a variant of absent pulmonary valve, and report this case with review of the literatures.

Objectives: In this study a pattern questionnaire for damum patterns was developed by means of literature review and statistical analysis. The individual approach of korean medicine is based on the concept of pattern identification, the objectivity and validity issues of which hold important meaning in the pratice and research. Methods: Review of literatures led to the selection of 22 items describing Dam or Um pattern. A preliminary questinnaire consisted of these items that may be scored with positive score at zero to seven. Results: Damum is all over the body syndromes. That is abnormal body conditions. Damun arouse body pain, breath disorder, digestion disorder, nerves disorder, excretion disorder. Conclusions: Review of literatures led to selection of 29 items describing Damun. A questionnaire is in preparation.

The purpose of this study was to present systematic interior design guidelines for the elderly housing environment. As an environmental affordance system, Murth 's user benefit criteria was employed to analyze the items of the interior design guidlines in the 5 selected elderly housing literatures. 646 items were collected from the 5 representative literatures on elderly housing design. As a result of the content anaylysis, a set of comprehensive interior design guidenlines which was systematically synthesized based on the Murtha' s user benefit criteria was presented according to the specific spaces. The behaviroral facilitation and physiological maintenance dimension most frequently mentioned in foreign literature. Perceptual maintenance dimension needed to be developed in the future in elderly housing.

The long-term variability of sea surface temperature in the East China Sea was reviewed based mainly on published literatures. Though the quantitative results are not the same, it is generally shown that sea surface temperature is increasing especially in recent years with the rate of increase about $0.03^{\circ}C$/year. Other meaningful results presented in the literatures is that the difference of water properties between layers upper and lower than the thermocline in summer shows an increasing trend both in temperature and salinity, suggesting that the stratification has been intensified. As a mechanism by which to evaluate the wintertime warming trend in the region, the weakening of wind strength, which is related to the variation of sea level pressure and atmospheric circulation in the western North Pacific and northern Asian continent, is suggested in the most of related studies.

본 논문에서는 지적재산권의 보호를 위한 기술적 방법론의 고찰과 지적재산권의 대표적 형태인 예술품의 표절 검출에 대한 새로운 방법론을 제안하고자한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해 프로그램 소스 코드로부터 표절을 감정하는 기술적 방법론에 대한 고찰과 자연어 형태로 쓰여진 글에 대한 표절 형태와 이를 감정하기 위한 기술적 방법들에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 미술품이나 고문헌등에 대한 저작자의 진위 여부 및 표절 감정은 저자뿐만 아니라 소장자의 재산가치 평가 및 문화재 관리측면에서 대단히 중요한 문제이기 때문에 이를 기술적으로 처리하기 위한 방법론을 제안하고자 한다.

Objectives: This study aimed to find out the origin, efficiency in sasang constitutional medicine and dosage of Mu tong. Methods: Investigation and analysis was been done through 15 literatures like the pharmacopoeia of the five countries in east Asia, the literatures about sasang constitutional medicine and so on. Results and conclusion: The species of Mu tong in Korea is identical with the Mu tong in China, but different from Chuan mu tong and Guan mu tong in China. Mu tong is a kind of medicine using by kidney can be use at most 12 qian (about 45g) a day when treating heat closing in small intestine, edema, headache, dysentery and difficult urination on Soyangin(SY).

Confucianism, the dominating thought in the Choson Dynasty, considered the congruence of scholar and bureaucrat as principle of royal politics, so it was the important affairs to educate and select scholars who excelled in Confucian science and its historical view. The process to educate and select the scholars in accordance with the spirit of Confucianism was called the civil service examination. In this study, we examined the dress and its ornaments of the Confucian students nd that of the successful candidate related to the system of the civil service examination, and focused on the literatures and figures. The Choson Dynasty looked upon the education as important and Confucian scholars and the successful candidate had the superior position in that society. The seems to have been the demarcation between the dress and its ornaments worn by the candidate and the successful candidate. According to the inquiry of the literatures and figures, the candidate is thought to have worn yuguhn(儒巾) or bokkuhn(幅巾) with chongsam(靑衫), nansam( 衫), jikryung(直領) and the successful candidate is thought to have worn bokduh( 頭) with easahwa(御史花), aengsam(鶯衫), danryung(團領) in the Choson Dynasty.

The masticatory space abscess caused by the acupuncture is a rare condition. A 27-year-old Korean man presented right buccal and submandibular space abscess induced by the acupuncture during his treatment of the temporomandibular disorder. The case was presented with review of literatures.
