Segmental dilatation of the small intestine is a rare form of the congenital intestinal anomaly. Many other combined anomalies have been reported in, but the association with colonic duplication has not been reported in the literature. We report a case of segmental dilatation of the distal ileum associated with colonic duplication. The main clinical and pathogenic aspects are discussed, and the literatures are reviewed.

The association of congenital colonic atresia with imperforate anus is extremely rare. There are only three cases reported in the English literatures. The authors have recently managed one case in female infant.

Properties of agricultural products are important for engineering design and analysis with respect to their mechanical harvesting, handling, transporting and processing. Researcher have presented the data of properties for various kinds of agricultural products. These data, however, are obtained from the materials produced in foreign countries, and a very few data could be found in Korea. In this paper, emphasis put on the importance of measuring the properties of agricultural products through an extensive review of literatures, and some experimental results on the viscoelastic and elastic properties of the materials are presented. Viscoelastic characteristics of some agricultural materials, specifically the force-deformation-time relationship of the whole orange and cylindrical samples of cheese under different types of loading were investigated. In elastic test, the response of apple during an impact and the relationships among various parameters such u degree of damage, drop height and absorbed energy were determined.

ASPEN PLUS, a steady-state simulator, was used in this study for predicting emissions of VOCs and tracing the fate of all compounds in biodegradation processes. Mathematical models for the processes such as volatilization, reaction and clarification were adopted from literatures. Unlike most previous simulations that various pollutants were considered as a single component, COD or BOD, four components of water, biomass, VOCs and COD were included in this simulation. Sensitivity analysis of several physical parameters on the performance of the WWTP was conducted. Model predictions of VOCs emissions agreed well with the plant data. The simulator could provide design conditions for a future WWTP as well as monitoring/control regimes to an existing WWTP.

Objectives : The purpose of this literature is to establish theoretical bases of using thermotherapy of cutaneous and muscle meridian(hot poultice). Methods : We reviewed literatures and books about thermotherapy in Traditional Korean medicine. Results and conclusions : Thermotherapy of cutaneous and muscle meridian(hot poultice) has developed from Yu-fa(熨法), a kind of poultice(also called cataplasm). Using it practically in the clinic, we simultaneously analyzed the distributions of cutaneous meridian(經法) and muscle meridian(經筋) and observed the symptoms of a disease to select treatment region. It has characteristic and originality differentiated form western physical therapy because it makes the function of whole body as well as an affected part better.

After over one decade development, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) has been widely accepted for clinical application in almost every field of dentistry. Meanwhile, the radiation dose of CBCT to patient has also caused broad concern. According to the literature, the effective radiation doses of CBCTs in nowadays market fall into a considerably wide range that is from $19{\mu}Sv$ to $1073{\mu}Sv$ and closely related to the imaging detector, field of view, and voxel sizes used for scanning. To deeply understand the potential risk from CBCT, this report also reviewed the effective doses from literatures on intra-oral radiograph, panoramic radiograph, lateral and posteroanterior cephalometric radiograph, multi-slice CT, and so on. The protection effect of thyroid collar and leaded glasses were also reviewed.

In this letter, non-regenerative Amplify-and-Forward (AF) relay systems based on half and full duplex schemes are investigated and their performance is analyzed and compared in terms of outage probability. Although the AF relay systems have been widely investigated in many previous literatures, most of them adopted a half duplex scheme due to hardware limitation and mathematical tractability. To the best of our knowledge, this letter is the first study to investigate the performance of the full duplex AF relay system considering practical hardware limitations. In full duplex AF relay systems, it is important to secure the isolation between transmit and receive antennas. Our numerical and simulation results show that there exists a threshold point of the isolation gain that the full duplex relay system outperforms the half duplex relay system.

Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) is an autosomal dominant multisystem disorder caused by the expansion of cytosine-thymine-guanine (CTG) repeats in the myotonic dystrophy protein kinase (DMPK) gene. Some literatures indicated that DM1 had incidental CNS lesions such as white matter lesions and diffuse gray matter atrophy. We report a patient with DM1 whose brain magnetic resonance image (MRI) showed multifocal hyperintense lesions and cystic lesion on both frontotemporoparietal lobes.

The purpose of this study is to plan, design and reflect to the future naturalization of the urban rivers by using the literatures, field survey results and aerial photography of Milyang River as the case regarding the effect of physical factors of urban rivers on landscape, defining those factors as Sammon fine forest, outdoor stage, Youngnamlu, RC stadium, stroll roads and bicycle roads, artificial island, outdoor swimming pool and sculpture park, and by suggesting the specific characteristics of the landscape according to those factors. The questionnaire survey was made to understand the users' satisfaction and attributes. The statistical analysis was applied, the frequency analysis and percentage calculation were used to find out the citizenship and perception toward the physical factors, and paired-sample T test to compare the average.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of teaching English through the techniques of storytelling with dramatization upon children's competence of English speaking and listening. These techniques are considered to enable children to have ample opportunity of use in and exposure to English, as well as interest. This study is sequenced as selecting stories by way of consulting literatures, developing a teaching model for practising classes through storytelling with dramatization, and analyzing the data resulting from the pre- and post-listening/speaking tests using the SPSS program. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: the experimental group shows better significance than the control one in the listening and speaking post-test. Therefore, literary units also need to be incorporated into English textbooks in order to improve children's aural-oral competence through the storytelling with dramatization.
