혼합비이온계면활성제의 조성에 따른 O/W 에멀젼의 유동특성 및 안정성 1. 반전유화법을 이용한 O/W 에멀젼의 상거동 및 유동특성 (The Flow Properties and Stability of O/W Emulsion Composed of Various Mixed Nonionic Surfactants 1. The Phase Behavior and Flow Properties of O/W Emulsion Prepared with the Inversion Emulsification Method)

  • Glycerin monostearate, polyoxyethylene(100) monostearate, polyoxyethylene(20) sorbitan monostearate를 혼합한 유화제를 분산상인 liquid paraffin, beeswax 혼합물에 용해한 후 연속상인 propylene glycol 수용액을 첨가하는 방법인 agent-in-oil법을 적용한 반전유화법에 의해 O/W 에멀젼을 제조하였고, 제조과정에서 나타나는 상거동 및 점성거동을 관찰하였다. 연속상을 주가함에 따라 액정 영역과 백타겔 영역이 존재하는 유화제 조성(HLB 10.1~12.3)에서만 미세하고 균일한 에멀젼이 형성되었으며, 유상${\rightarrow}$액정상${\rightarrow}$겔상${\rightarrow}$O/W 에멀젼으로 상변화가 일어남을 알 수 있었다. 제조된 에멀젼의 전단속도에 따른 전단응력곡선으로부터 항복치가 존재함에 따라 에멀젼 입자간의 내부구조가 형성됨을 알 수 있었고, 전단력에 의한 내부구조의 파괴가 겉보기상으로는 완전히 비가역적으로 진행되며, 구조 파괴의 척도인 hysteresis loop의 면적은 유화제의 HLB값이 작을수록 큰 것을 알 수 있었다. 시간에 따른 전단응력 변화곡선에서소성점성도의 시간의존성이 큰 것을 확인하였고, 시간유동화현상에 따른 완화시간(${\lambda}$)으로부터 HLB값이 작을수록 상대적 안정성이 큼을 알 수 있었으며, homomixer로 제조한 에멀젼에 비해 반전유화법에 의해 제조한 에멀젼이 더 안정함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 파라핀 왁스를 사용하여 건조된 농축폐액을 고화시킬 경우, 방사선적 가수분해에 의해 발생할 가능성이 있는 수소가스의 발생량을 추정하여 보았다 분석결과에 의하면, 코발트 60의 방사선 에너지에 의해 방사선적 가수분해가 주로 발생함을 알 수 있다. 200리터 드럼중 120 리터가 파라핀으로 채워졌다고 가정할 때 수소가스 발생은 초기에 $4.4{\times}10^2cm^3yr^1$이고 100년이 경과한 후는 $7.2cm^3yr^1$로 줄어든다. 수소에 의한 발화점을 25년이 경과한 후 도발할 가능성이 있으나, 폭발한계에는 1000년 이내에 도달할 가능성이 없다. 안전성 관련 주요 한계점에 도달하는 시기는 드럼내 파라핀 왁스의 채움 정도에 매우 민감하게 영향을 받는다 드럼내 공간의 감소시, 발화점에 도달 시간이 줄어듬을 알 수 있다.

  • UVSL-25 mineralight를 조사(照射)한 경우에 발생하는 식품자체(食品自體)의 형광(螢光)을 이용하여 Adulteration이나 변질(變質)에 의한 불량식품(不良食品)을 감별(鑑別)할 수 있는 방법확립(方法確立)을 시도(試圖)해 보았다. 형광(螢光)의 육안관찰(肉眼觀察) 및 표면발광(表面發光)의 스펙트럽분석(分析)은 본 실험조건(實驗條件)하에서는 식품감별방법(食品鑑別方法)으로 부적당하게 보였다. 유동(流動)파라핀에 현탁(懸濁)된 분말물질(粉末物質), 또는 액체(液體) 시료(試料)의 흡수(吸收) 및 발광(發光)스펙트럼은 식품(食品)의 종류에 따라 특징적인 패턴을 나타냈다. 재현성(再現性)있는 실험결과(實驗結果)를 얻기위해서는 시료(試料)의 균일성(均一性)이 가장 중요한 요인으로 보였다.

  • In order to investigate the detergency effects of various detergents to stained polyester & cotton fabric with solid soils such as carbon black, liquid paraffin and fat, the optimum washing conditions according to the types of washing agent, the assesment of detergency effect by the measurement of reflectance after and before washing were studied. The detergency effect of various detergents to stained polyester and cotton fabric increased by using the mixtures of bleaching and enzyme detergent. In order to obtain the excellent detergency effect, 2-step treatment, the pre-washing with bleaching agent and bleaching-enzyme mixture detergent treatment is preferred. In comparison of the detergency to polyester and cotton fabric, it is assumed that the detergency to polyester stained fabric was superior than that to cotton stained fabric because of the difference of adhesive force between soil material and fabric in preparing solid stained fabric.

  • Heat transfer phenomena during inward melting process of the phase change material were studied experimentally. N-docosane paraffin [$C_{22}H_{46}$] is used for phase change material and its melting temperature is $42.5^{\circ}C$. Experiments were performed for melting of an initially no-sub cooled or subcooled solid in a horizontal cylinder, in order to compare and investigate the radial temperature distribution, ratio of melting and melted mass, various energy components stored from the cylinder wall, figure of the melting front in the horizontal cylinder. The solid-liquid interface motion during phase change was recorded photographically. The experimental results reaffirmed the dominant role played by the conduction at early stage, by the natural convection at longer time during inward melting in the horizontal cylinder. Ratio of melting and melted mass are more influenced by wall temperature, rather than by the initial temperature of solid. The latent energy is the largest contributor to the total stored energy.

에멀젼 증발법에 의한 산화코발트 분말의 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the reparation of Cobalt Oxide Powders by the Emulsion Evaporation Technique)

  • A process for the preparation of cobalt oxide powders was developed by the evaporaton of emulsion containing cobalt. The characteristics of powders were examined by means of DTA, X-ray diffracton, SEM, PSA. Cobalt oxide powders were produced by evaporating the emulsion prepared by mixing cobalt sulfate solution and organic phase consisted of kerosene, Span 80 and D2EHPA in the kerosene bath at 16$0^{\circ}C$, then the precursor obtained was calcined at 100$0^{\circ}C$. As the concentration of cobalt ions in the aqueous solution, Span 80 and the stirring speed increased, the mean size of cobalt oxide powders decreased and the size distribution was improved. At the volume ratio of one of the aqueous to organic phase, the finest mean size and the optimum size distribution was obtained. On the other hand the concentration of D2EHPA and liquid paraffin had little effect on the mean size as well as on the size distribution of powders.

  • This paper focuses on the investigation of the heat transfer phenomena that occur inside the cylindrical tube. The inclination of the tube is adopted as a principal parameter varying from vertical to horizontal. The phase change material employed in this experiment is 99 percent pure n-docosane paraffin($C_{22}$ $H_{46}$). It is found that the amount of solidified mass during a prescribed solidifying period is not sensitive to the inclination of the tube but to the local layer thickness. It is studied that the latent energy is the largest contributor to the total extracted energy. The sensible energy($E_{s1}$, $E_{s2}$, $E_{s3}$) may not be negligible at the large wall-subcooling and initial-liquid-superheating, also at the first step of solidifying.

시판표백제에 의한 농축세제의 세척성 향상과 섬유 손상 (The Detergency Improvement and Fabric Damage in the Washing Treatment by Commercial Bleaching Agents)

  • In order to investigate the detergency effect of stained cotton and PET fabric, respectively, these fabrics stained with solid soils such as carbon black, liquid paraffin, and fat and examined the detergency effect in the optimum washing condition. The evaluation of washing efficiency of washed fabrics studied by using the surface reflectance measurement before and after washing treatment. The maximum detergency effect of stained cotton and PET fabric obtained in the mixed washing liquor-bleachig agen(ml)/concentrated washig agent(g/l). To obtain the excellent detergency effect, 2-step washing treatment, pre-washing by bleaching agent only and washing by concentrated detergent, is preferred. In comparing the detergency of polyester and cotton fabric, the detergency of stained polyester fabric superior than that of stained cotton fabric because of the difference of adhesive force between soil material and fabric in preparing soled stained fabric. In this study, we also studied the degree of fabric damage by the measurement of tensile strength change. From the results of the tensile strength measurement, the damage of washed fabric before and after washing treatment was nearly changed.

후토라훌-젤라틴 마이크로캅셀의 제조 및 용출특성에 관한 연구 (Preparation and Dissolution Properties of Ftorafur-Galatin Microcapsules)

  • Gelatin microcapsules containing Ftorafur, a hydrophilic anticancer agent, were prepared with congealable disperse-phase emulsification method. The preparation was based on dispersion of ftorafur-gelatin solution with Tween #40 or Span #20 in liquid paraffin. A cationic surfactant, benzethonium chloride, was used to prevent the microcapsules from aggregation. In the case of microcapsules prepared with Tween #40 or Span #20, mean particle size decreased and narrow size distribution was observed. The intrinsic dissolution rate of ftorafur in microcapsules with 1% span #20 was 8.5 times lower than that of intact ftorafur.
