  • The unanimous of adoption of the intergovernmental agreement on the Asian Highway network by 32 member countries was a significant event and the Asian Highway project has entered into a new phase with a giant momentum. In an era of globalization, the availability of transport linkages and services is a prerequistite for countries to fully participate in the globalizing economy. The Asian Highway is one of initiatives of ESCAP to promote international transport in the region. With a total coverage of over 140,000kilometers, the asian highway network will be playing a vital role in bringing peoples together through both trade and travel.

  • A design and analysis program is proposed for switched reluctance motor using an analytical method and a CAD program LabVIEW. The algorithm uses conventional permeance method, in which flux linkages, inductances and torques are calculated numerically. In order to analyze a dynamic characteristics of the motor, voltage control scheme is fallen and a single pulse operation is applied. 2 SRM models are analyzed under the given specifications and constraints. The results compared with measured data.

  • The photoisomerization of the crosslinked and uncrosslinked polymer-pair with azo linkages was studied by the photoinduced birefringence. The amount of photoinduced birefringence of crosslinked polymer system was much smaller than that of uncrosslinked polymer system, even when varying pumping laser power, so the photoisomerization of an azo chromophores could be controlled by crosslinking process. • Although the role of information system has been rapidly increasing in modern management, there have been few researches on the quality assurance in information system. This paper suggests how to apply quality function deployment(QFD) to information system development in order to build up user-centered quality assurance system. The main focus of the paper is how to design the linkages between management strategy, information systems, and the users using quality function deployment.

  • New cyclophanes having multilactam linkages were synthesized and characterized. One-pot coupling reaction of 2,6-pyridinedicarbonyl dichloride and a diamine gave a tetralactam, a hexalactam, and a octalactam in good yields. The TLC behaviour, the molecular symmetry shown by 1H NMR spectrum, and the fragmentation patterns shown by FAB mass spectrum of the octalactam support its monocyclic structure.

  • The intricate relationship between species and their ecosystems has been a focal point of ecological research for decades. With the advent of big data and artificial intelligence, we are now able to explore this relationship with unprecedented depth and precision. This review delves into the transformative role of these technologies in ecological research, emphasizing their potential to enhance our understanding of species-ecosystem linkages.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and to apply the NANDA, NOC, and NIC (NNN) linkages into a computerized nursing process program using the classification systems of nursing diagnoses, nursing outcomes and nursing interventions. Method: The program was developed with planning, analysis, design and performance stages. The program was applied to 117 patients who were admitted to orthopedic surgery nursing units from January to February, 2004. Results: Thirty-five of fifty-three nursing diagnoses were identified. Five nursing diagnoses in order of frequency were: Acute pain $(28.4\%)$, Impaired physical mobility $(15.6\%)$, Impaired walking $(8.7\%)$, Chronic pain $(5.5\%)$ and Risk for disuse syndrome $(5.0\%)$. The nursing outcomes of the 'Acute pain' nursing diagnosis tended to have higher frequencies (cumulative) in order of Pain management $(95.2\%)$, Comfort level $(35.5\%)$ and Pain level $(17.7\%)$. The nursing interventions of the 'Acute pain' nursing diagnosis tended to have higher frequencies (cumulative) in order of Pain management $(71.0\%)$, Splinting $(24.2\%)$ and Analgesic administration $(17.7\%)$. In comparison of outcome indicator scores between before and after the intervention according to the 61 nursing outcomes, the mean scores of 52 outcome indicators after the intervention were significantly higher than before the intervention. Conclusion: It is expected that this program will help nurses perform their nursing processes more efficiently.

  • The optimal condition for the production of a glucan and a fructan synthesizing enzymes from Leuconostoc mesenteroides NRRL B-1149 were studied based on the different medium compositions. Response surface methodology was applied to find the optimistic condition showing the relationship between the fermentation response (enzyme activities) and the fermentation variable concentrations of yeast extract, peptone concentration, K2HP04 concentration and sucrose. Optimum medium composition for both enzymes production was $0.75\%$ yeast extract, $0.72\%$ peptone, $1\%$ K2HP04 and $2.17\%$ sucrose. Using this medium, the activities produced in culture was 0.90 U/m~ for glucosyltransferase (GTase) and 0.96 U/ml for fructosyltransferase (FTase). After purification of 1149FTase by consecutive chromatographies using Sephadex G-150 and DEAE-Sepharose, a 1149FTase of 210 kDa on $7\%$ polyacrylamide gel was isolated and it synthesized soluble fructan. The 1149GTase showed a band of 180 kDa on $8\%$ polyacrylamide gel after purification using Bio-Gel P-100 gel chromatography and DEAE-Sepharose ion exchange chromatography and it synthesized insoluble glucan. The linkages of polymers were determined by methylation using Hakomori reagent and following NMR analysis. The glucan was composed of a(1~6) and a(1~3) linkages and the fructan was levan.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze industrial and innovation networks of long-live area of Honam Region and to suggest a policy direction for regional development of rural areas where have been neglected in the knowledge-based information society. Four counties (Sunchang, Damyang, Gokseong, and Gurye) in the Southwestern region of Korea are regarded as long-live belt of Korea. Production and innovation networks :Ire analyzed based on intensive surveys of firms in the belt. Major findings from the surveys are as follows. First, there are considerably strong local networks of production firms in terms of supply of input materials and labor. There are strong backward industrial linkages of the production firms with agricultural activities and considerable forward linkages with tourism industry. In addition, Internet is becoming a useful tool for sales of the new products. Second, the analysis of the innovation networks in the long-live area suggests the development of 'virtual innovation cluster' in the era of knowledge-based information society. The results imply that this innovation networks can be developed as a virtual innovation cluster in the rural areas, which can be the basis for the development of rural innovation systems.

  • This paper suggests a method to expand linkages in a Linked Open Data(LOD) cloud that is a practical consequence of a semantic web. LOD cloud, contrary to the first expectation, has not been used actively because of the lack of linkages. Current method for establishing links by applying to explicit links and attaching the links to LODs have restrictions on reflecting target LODs' changes in a timely manner and maintaining them periodically. Instead of attaching them, this paper suggests that each LOD should prepare a link policy and publish it together with the LOD. The link policy specifies target LODs, predicate pairs, and similarity degrees to decide on the establishment of links. We have implemented a system that performs in-depth searching through LODs using their link policies. We have published APIs of the system to Github. Results of the experiment on the in-depth searching system with similarity degrees of 1.0 ~ 0.8 and depth level of 4 provides searching results that include 91% ~ 98% of the trustworthy links and about 170% of triples expanded.
