  • Overhead transmission lines are mainly crossing mountainous area. They are easily affected in weathers like typhoon, strong wind, lightning, heavy rain, or heavy snow. Sometimes these weathers cause transmission line faults. A lightning flashover is most often fault. Nowadays lightning density in KOREA is growing high and lightning flashovers occur more often. A lightning flashover on transmission line is mostly cleared by momentary operation of a circuit breaker, so power failure happens rarely. However, when both circuits trip simultaneously due to the lightning flashovers on double circuit transmission line, short time power failure and voltage drop happen. KEPCO has used transmission line arresters to avoid double circuit simultaneous trip out since 2003. And transmission line arresters cannot be installed with KEPCO's present metal fittings, so various fittings have been used for each transmission line arrester manufacturer. This paper introduces development and standardization of arc-horn and metal fittings for transmission line arrester which can be used for both existing lines and new lines in KEPCO.

기상예보시스템을 이용한 가공송전선의 단기간 동적송전용량 예측 (Short-Term Dynamic Line Rating Prediction in Overhead Transmission Lines Using Weather Forecast System)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 기상예보데이터를 사용하여 가공송전선의 단시간 송전용량을 예측하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 기상청에서 제공되는 예보기온, 풍속등급 및 날씨코드와 같은 3시간 예보요소들을 분석하여 기상예보데이터와 실제 측정데이터 사이의 상관성이 분석되었다. 동적송전용량을 결정하는데 사용하기 위하여 이러한 요소들은 적당한 수치로 변환되었다. 또한 풍속과 일사량에 대한 신뢰도를 개선하기 위하여 적응뉴로퍼지시스템이 설계되었다. 기상예보데이터가 송전용량을 신뢰성을 갖도록 추정하는데 사용될 수 있음을 밝혔다. 그 결과 제안된 예측시스템이 단시간 용량예측에 효율적으로 실용화될 수 있을 것이다.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the optimal configuration of protection wire that have been installed in the electric railway power supply system. Protection wires are to suppress the ground potential rise when the short circuit fault between contact wire-rail(C-F), and protect the electronics equipments(signalling and communication) that are facility the wayside. The role of protection wires must be feed back quickly the fault current to the substation when a short circuit fault occurs. In this paper, we proposed that only one line to install the protection wire. Comparing how to newly proposed and existing system, most of the performance is similar. The reason is that most of the current flowing in the protection wire near the location where the fault occurred. There is no problem even if in one line for human safe and the low impedance of the return circuit in dimension to ensure the safety of the facility during the fault. To ensure safety during an fault occurs, it is sufficient even by one line. But, In the protection wire of facilities planning it is necessary to design taking into account the potential utility.

  • AC AT feeding method consists return circuits of electric train inserting in parallel between trolly line and feeding line and connecting neutral line to rail and FPW. Due to increasing train number, electric load at feeding system are increasing and collecting voltage of train are going down. To increase electric load and collecting voltage between trolly line and rail, the usefulness of new autotransformer are considered which variation of short impedance and change of line voltage is simulated with modified winding ratio of autotransformer from 1:1 to variable tab.

가공 배전선로 활선 정비 로봇 시스템의 기술 타당성 검토 (Technical Feasibility Study on Live-line Maintenance Robot System for Overhead Distribution Lines)

  • The distribution live-line work method is an operation method of working in a state in which electricity flows through overhead distribution lines to minimize inconvenience to electric customers due to power failure. In June 2016, to strengthen the safety of electrical workers, Korea Electric Power Corporation announced that it would in principle abolish the rubber glove method, in which workers wore protective equipment such as rubber gloves and performed their maintenance work. In addition, KEPCO announced that it would develop a short-range live working method using smart sticks and an advanced live-line maintenance robot system where workers work without touching wires directly. This paper is a preliminary study for the development of the live-line maintenance robot system, and deals with the results of analyzing the technical feasibility of whether the live works performed by workers can be replaced by robots or not.

A Modified Heuristic Algorithm for the Mixed Model Assembly Line Balancing

  • This paper proposes a modified heuristic mixed model assembly line (MMAL) balancing algorithm that provides consistent station assignments on a model by model basis as well as on a station by station. Basically, some of single model line balancing techniques are modified and incorporated to be fit into the MMAL. The proposed algorithm is based on N.T. Thomopoulos' [8] method and supplemented with several well proven single model line balancing techniques proposed in the literature until recently. Hoffman's precedence matrix [2] is used to indicate the ordering relations among tasks. Arcus' Rule IX [1] is applied to generate rapidly a fairly large number of feasible solutions. Consequently, this proposed algorithm reduces the fluctuations in operation times among the models as well as the stations and the balance delays. A numerical example shows that the proposed algorithm can provide a good feasible solution in a relatively short time and generate relatively better solutions comparing to other three existing methods.

전력계통의 고장용량 억제를 위한 최적조류계산 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Power Flow with Suppressing the Short Circuit Capacity in Power Systems)

  • Switching of the transmission lines(T/L) is one of the ways for suppressing the short circuit capacity. This paper presents the extended optimal power flow(OPF) to the problem of selecting the T/Ls to be open. The constraints of the short circuit currents within limits are added to the inequalities of OPF. Also, the overload on the other lines due to switching of T/Ls is avoided by the linearized inequalities. The number of the open lines can be minimized by incorporating into the objective function of OPF in order to maintain reliability. The method of an effective calculation of the extended OPF is also proposed in this paper, which makes the two parts decoupled. The one concerning the generation dispatch is solved in the first place by the conventional method. Secondly, the other concerning the line-switching is optimized by the proposed formulation.

국소영역 내의 CCT법을 이용한 고정밀 직선 검출 (A High Precision Line Detection Based on Local Area CCT Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 화상에 존재하는 디지털 직선을 고정밀도로 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 화상의 크기를 $N{\times}N$로 하면, 이 계산량은 $O(N^4)$이지만 실제 사용하기는 곤란하므로, 검출 정밀도의 열화를 억제하면서 계산량을 $O(N^3)$로 하는 알고리즘을 검토하였다. 국소영역에서 Hough 변환하여 추출된 선분을 연신처리(stretching treatment)하고, 화상으로부터 직선을 검출하는 방법은 길거나 짧은 여러 가지의 직선을 고속으로 검출할 수 있는 훌륭한 방법이지만, 기울어진 선분의 검출 정밀도는 약간 떨어진다. 본 논문에서는 사선의 검출 정밀도를 향상시킨 직선 검출방법을 국소영역에 적용함으로써 처리속도가 감소되지 않고, 직선을 고정밀도로 검출하는 방법에 관해서 논술한다. 실험 결과 제안된 방법은 기존의 방법과 같은 정도 이하의 시간에서 정밀도가 높은 직선을 검출할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

2회선 가공송전선의 단시간정격에 관한 평가방법 (An Evaluation Method for Short-Term Ratings of Double-Circuit Overhead Transmission Lines)

  • 본 논문에서는 2회선 가공송전선에 대하여 2회선 중 1회선에 고장이 발생한 경우에 안전하게 운전할 수 있는 단시간정격을 결정하기 위한 해석적 방법을 기술한다. 도체의 온도특성을 나타내는 열평형방정식을 선형화 함으로써 이 선형방정식으로 1회선 선로에 과부하가 발생하는 동안 과전류와 그 온도 특성을 쉽게 표현할 수 있다. 일반적으로 단시간 선로정격은 도체의 수명과 이도를 동시에 고려하여 결정해야 한다는 것은 잘 알려진 사실이다. 그렇지만 대부분의 전력회사는 단시간정격에 대한 각자의 다른 지침을 갖고 있다. 이 논문에서는 제안된 방법을 사용하면 과거 3시기에 건설된 한국전력공사의 가공송전선에 규정된 단시간정격을 재평가할 수 있고, 그 결과 단시간정격을 효율적으로 증대시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 이 방법은 2회선 선로 중 1회선에 고장이 발생할 경우에 기존 선로에 어떤 조치도 하지 않아도 단시간 동적송전용량을 결정하는데 직접 이용할 수 있을 것이다.

Epipolar Geometry of Line Cameras Moving with Constant Velocity and Attitude

  • Image resampling according to epipolar geometry is an important prerequisite for a variety of photogrammetric tasks. Established procedures for resampling frame images according to epipolar geometry are not suitable for scenes captured by line cameras. In this paper, the mathematical model describing epipolar lines in scenes captured by line cameras moving with constant velocity and attitude is established and analyzed. The choice of this trajectory is motivated by the fact that many line cameras can be assumed to follow such a flight path during the short duration of a scene capture (especially when considering space-borne imaging platforms). Experimental results from synthetic along-track and across-track stereo-scenes are presented. For these scenes, the deviations of the resulting epipolar lines from straightness, as the camera's angular field of view decreases, are quantified and presented.
