The Support Vector Data Description (SVDD) has achieved great success in anomaly detection, directly finding the optimal ball with a minimal radius and center, which contains most of the target data. The SVDD has some limited classification capability, because the hyper-sphere, even in feature space, can express only a limited region of the target class. This paper presents an anomaly detection algorithm for mitigating the limitations of the conventional SVDD by finding the minimum volume enclosing ellipsoid in the feature space. To evaluate the performance of the proposed approach, we tested it with intrusion detection applications. Experimental results show the prominence of the proposed approach for anomaly detection compared with the standard SVDD.

This study reviews Korean public informatization policy implemented in last 20 years from the philosophical perspective and attempts to suggest directions to be considered in the future. To accomplish the research goal, this study first analyzes literature in the relevant areas, including philosophy of value, administrative ideology, and public informatization policy. Second, based on the results of literature review, criteria to analyze the public informatization policy are established. Then, the Korean public informatization policy is analyzed based on the established criteria. Lastly, implications for planning and implementing public informatization policy are suggested. Significance of the study lies in its attempt to examine public informatization policy from the philosophical perspective. However, due to its exploratory nature, this study has limitations including less rigorous measurement instruments, limited source of data, limited number of propositions established. Therefore, further studies are needed in these areas.

Purpose - The study is primarily aimed at framing "Position Descriptions" for some key positions in the executive cadre of the testing department of CESC Limited. Research design, data, and methodology - The questionnaire, interview, and observation methods have been used for the purpose of data collection. The position descriptions are validated by superiors belonging to the respective departments. Results - It has been found that there is overlapping of job duties and job responsibilities in the department. This overlapping is quite alarming for the organization and may even become a hurdle in the path of its progress. It can be seen as a classic case of de-layering. Conclusions - The study concludes that good communication along with interpersonal and negotiation skills are absolutely essential to facilitate the performance of the day-to-day duties of a job, including handling the union, solving IR related issues, development of the subordinates, job setting, distribution and allocation, etc. Position descriptions will help in the alignment of the employee direction, and can be a useful tool to aid the communication between management and employees.

During the start-up of a process or in a job-shop environment conventional use of control charts may lead to erroneous results due to the limited number of subgroups used for the construction of control limits. This article considers the effect of using estimated control limits based on a limited number of subgroups. Especially we investigate the performance of $\overline{X}$ and R control charts when the data are independent, and X control chart when the data are serially correlated in terms of average run length(ARL) and standard deviation run length(SDRL) using simulation. It is found that the ARL and SDRL get larger as the number of subgroups used for the construction of the chart becomes smaller.

High Speed data transmission over a long length of cable is limited due to the limited bandwidth of a cable which introduces ISI(Inter Symbol Interference). In order to compensate for the loss and phase dispersion in the cable, a pulse shaping in a transmitter and a line equalizer in receiver can be used. This paper presents a low-power and small-ana analog adaptive pulse shaping circuit and line equalizer, The design was fabricated in a 0.25${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ mixed-signal CMOS process. The proposed pulse shaping circuit and equalizer operate at 400Mb/s on 50m STP(Shielded Twisted Pair) cable. It consumes 28.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ with a 2.5-V power supply and occupies only 0.098 $\textrm{mm}^2$.

Cancer-testis antigens (CTAs) are a group of tumor-associated antigens with more than 140 members whose expression has been shown to be limited to gametogenic tissues and placenta among normal tissues. However, malignant tissues of different origins have shown aberrant and elevated expression of these antigens. Such a pattern of expression endows beneficial properties for use as cancer biomarkers as well as immunotherapeutic targets as a result of the immune-privileged status of the testes. CTAs have been shown to be expressed in pediatric brain tumors, different types of sarcomas, leukemias, and lymphomas as well as neuroblastomas. Although data regarding their expression pattern in childhood tumors are not as comprehensive as for adult tumors, it is supposed that CTA-based immunotherapeutic approaches can also be used for pediatric cancers. However, there are limited data about the objective clinical responses following immunotherapy in such patients. Here we try to review the available information.

현재 주차문제가 사회의 큰 문제로 자리잡고 있다. 자동차는 기하급수적으로 늘어가지만 그 자동차를 수용하는 공간은 상대적으로 좁다. 심지어 목적지에 주차를 할 공간이 없어 상당한 시간을 주차할 장소를 찾는데 소비하게 된다. 이동 차량에서 실시간 주차정보를 제공받아 이러한 문제점을 해소하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 주차 정보를 제공 받기 위해 무선 네트워크 환경을 구축하고, 다양한 어플리케이션간에 데이터를 교환하고 공유하기 편리한 XML 데이터를 생성하여, 실시간으로 주차정보를 전달하는 방법을 제시 및 구현한다.

In this study, the Reliability of degraded steam turbine blade was evaluated using the limited fatigue data. The statistical estimation of limited fatigue data implies that some unknown uncertainties which may be involved in fatigue reliability analysis. Therefore, an appropriate distribution in the fatigue strength was determined by the characteristic distribution - linear correlation coefficient, fatigue physics, error parameter. 3-parameter Weibull distribution is the most appropriate distribution to assume for infinite region. The load applied on the blade is mainly tensile. The maximum Von-Mises stress is 219.4 MPa at the steady state service condition. The failure probability($F_p$) derived from the strength-stress interference model using Monte carlo simulation under variable service condition is 0.25% at the 99.99% confidence level.

Friction factor and two-phase flow frictional multiplier for a CANFLEX bundle are newly developed and presented in this paper. CANFLEX as a 43-element fuel bundle has been developed jointly by AECL/KAERI to provide greater operational flexibility for CANDU reactor operators and designers. Friction factor and two-phase flow frictional multiplier have been developed by using the experimental data of pressure drops obtained from two series of Freon-l34a (R-134a) CHF tests with a string of simulated CANFLEX bundles in a single phase and a two-phase flow conditions. The friction factor for a CANFLRX bundle is found to be about 20 % higher than that of Blasius for a smooth circular pipe. The pressure drop predicted by using the new correlations of friction factor and two-phase frictional multiplier are well agreed with the experimental pressure drop data of CANFLEX bundle within ${\pm}\;5\;%$ error.

Nowadays, smart phone is being popularly used for communication, entertainment, and information retrieval. While demands on video traffic over mobile networks increases sharply, the wireless link capacity is often limited to fully support the traffic demand. Therefore, the size of video data needs to be reduced to provide high quality video with limited capacity. To handle this issue, we propose a video editing system using the ffmpeg library. The proposed system can provide a high quality video with a relatively small data size, thereby facilitating the mobile streaming services and live-video games.
