InGaN material is being studied increasingly as a prospective material for solar cells. One of the merits for solar cell applications is that the band gap energy can be engineered from 0.7 eV for InN to 3.4 eV for GaN by varying of indium composition, which covers almost of solar spectrum from UV to IR. It is essential for better cell efficiency to improve not only the crystalline quality of the epitaxial layers but also fabrication of the solar cells. Fabrication includes transparent top electrodes and surface texturing which will improve the carrier extraction. Surface texturing is one of the most employed methods to enhance the extraction efficiency in LED fabrication and can be formed on a p-GaN surface, on an N-face of GaN, and even on an indium tin oxide (ITO) layer. Surface texturing method has also been adopted in InGaN-based solar cells and proved to enhance the efficiency. Since the texturing by direct etching of p-GaN, however, was known to induce the damage and result in degraded electrical properties, texturing has been studied widely on ITO layers. However, it is important to optimize the ITO thickness in Solar Cells applications since the reflectance is fluctuated by ITO thickness variation resulting in reduced light extraction at target wavelength. ITO texturing made by wet etching or dry etching was also revealed to increased series resistance in ITO film. In this work, we report a new way of texturing by deposition of thickness-optimized ITO films on ITO nano dots, which can further reduce the reflectance as well as electrical degradation originated from the ITO etching process.
Supercritical fluid extraction was applied to recycling triglyceride from used shortening. Used shortening and its fractions were analyzed with high performance size exclusion chromatography for their composition in triglycerides, polymer and low molecular weight compounds. Conjugated diene value and color of the fractions were also measured with a UV spectrophotometer and a colorimeter, respectively. Pressure and temperature ranges employed were $15{\sim}30$ MPa and $40{\sim}60^{\circ}C$, respectively. Concentration of fat in supercritical (SC) $CO_2$ ranged from $0.3\;X\;10^{-3}{\sim}7.4\;X10^{-3}(g\;fat/g\;CO_2)$. An exponential relation between concentration of fat in SC $CO_2$ and density was observed. Color of the extracts was light yellow which was very close to that of the fresh shortening. Low molecular weight compounds were preferentially concentrated in the initial fraction, while polymer was extracted in the final fraction. Conjugated diene value of the initial fractions was clearly lower than that of feed. It increased sharply as the polymer content in the fraction became significantly large.

Processing LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data obtained from ALS (Airborne Laser Scanning) systems mainly involves organization and segmentation of the data for 3D object modeling and mapping purposes. The ALS systems are viable and becoming more mature technology in various applications. ALS technology requires complex integration of optics, opto-mechanics and electronics in the multi-sensor components, Le. data captured from GPS, INS and laser scanner. In this study, digital image processing techniques mainly were implemented to gray level coded image of the LiDAR data for building extraction and superstructures segmentation. One of the advantages to use gray level image is easy to apply various existing digital image processing algorithms. Gridding and quantization of the raw LiDAR data into limited gray level might introduce smoothing effect and loss of the detail information. However, smoothed surface data that are more suitable for surface patch segmentation and modeling could be obtained by the quantization of the height values. The building boundaries were precisely extracted by the robust edge detection operator and regularized with shape constraints. As for segmentation of the roof structures, basically region growing based and gap filling segmentation methods were implemented. The results present that various image processing methods are applicable to extract buildings and to segment surface patches of the superstructures on the roofs. Finally, conceptual methodology for extracting characteristic information to reconstruct roof shapes was proposed. Statistical and geometric properties were utilized to segment and model superstructures. The simulation results show that segmentation of the roof surface patches and modeling were possible with the proposed method.
To verify the volatile compounds contributing to coffee off-flavor, medium roasted Colombian, Sumatra, Ethiopian and light and dark roasted Colombian bean coffees were sequentially and studiously over extracted. Eight espresso samples and eight filter-dripped samples were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry with the solidphase microextraction method and evaluated by sensory tests. In total, 67 compounds were detected, and desirable aroma decreased sharply, while off-flavors increased rapidly after 30 mL of espresso and 200 mL of drip coffee. Percent peak area of 4-ethylguaiacol revealed a linear increase during extraction and was highly correlated with increasing off-flavor, suggesting that it could be an indicator of over extraction. Considering the odor activity value, guaiacol and 4- vinylguaiacol were also contributory compounds to off-flavors.

ABL (Airborne Bathymetric LiDAR) is an advanced survey technology that uses green lasers to simultaneously measure the water depths and oceanic topography in coastal and river areas. Seabed point cloud extraction is an essential prerequisite to further utilizing the ABL data for various geographic data processing and applications. Conventional seabed detection approaches often use return waveforms. However, their limited accessibility often limits the broad use of the bathymetric LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data. Further, it is often questioned if the waveform-based seabed extraction is reliable enough to extract seabed. Therefore, there is a high demand to extract seabed from the point cloud using other sources of information, such as geometric information. This study aimed to assess the feasibility of a ground filtering method to seabed extraction from geo-referenced point cloud data by using CSF (Cloth Simulation Filtering) method. We conducted a preliminary experiment with the RIGEL VQ 880 bathymetric data, and the results show that the CSF algorithm can be effectively applied to the seabed point segmentation.

The objective of this study was to compare the shear bond strengths of five dentin adhesive systems cured with three different light curing sources. Seventy five noncarious permanent teeth were collected and stored in an 0.1% thymol solution at room temperature after extraction. The tested adhesives were: Adper Scotchbond Multi-purpose Plus Adhesive (SM) Adper Single bond 2 (SB), Clearfil SE Bond (SE), Adper Prompt L-Pop (PL), G-Bond (GB). And three light curing unit systems were used: Elipar Free light 2(LED), OptiLux 501 (Halogen), Flipo (PAC). For the shear bonding test, the labial and lingual surfaces of permanent teeth were used. To obtain a flat dentin surface, the labial and lingual surfaces of the teeth were sanded on SiO2 with number 600 grit and then divided into 15 groups of 10 surfaces each. All samples were theromocycled in water $5^{\circ}C$ and $55^{\circ}C$ for 1000 cycles. The results were as follows: 1. When cured with Freelight 2, the shear bond strength of SM was significantly higher than that of PL, GB (p<0.05), whereas no significant difference was found among those of any other bonding agents. 2. When cured with Optilux 501, the shear bond strength of SM was significantly higher than those of any other bonding agents (p<0.05), whereas no singnificant difference was found among those of andy other bonding agents. 3. When cured with Flipo, the shear bond strength of SM was significantly higher than those of SB, SE, GB (p<0.05), whereas no significant differences was found among those of any other bonding agents. 4. For comparison according to three different light cure unit system, except SB and GB, each three dentin bonding agents showed no significant difference. For SB, only Freelight 2 was significantly higher than the others, with no significant difference between Optilux 501 and Flip. For GB, Statistically significant difference was found only between Freelight and Flipo.

This paper proposes a method that automatically extracts characteristics of cracks such as length, thickness and direction, etc., from a concrete surface image with image processing techniques. This paper, first, uses the closing morphologic operation to adjust the effect of light extending over the whole concrete surface image. After applying the high-pass filtering operation to sharpen boundaries of cracks, we classify intensity values of the image into 8 groups and remove intensity values belong to the highest frequency group among them for the removal of background. Then, we binarize the preprocessed image. The auxiliary lines used to measure cracks of concrete surface are removed from the binarized image with position information extracted by the histogram operation. Then, cracks broken by the removal of background are extended to reconstruct an original crack with the $5{\times}5$ masking operation. We remove unnecessary information by applying three types of noise removal operations successively and extracts areas of cracks from the binarized image. At last, the opening morphologic operation is applied to compensate extracted cracks and characteristics of cracks are measured on the compensated ones. Experiments using real images of concrete surface showed that the proposed method extracts cracks well and precisely measures characteristics of cracks.
If dental ankylosis occurs in maxillary incisors of a growing child, the ankylosed tooth can not move vertically with the subsequent disturbance in vertical growth of the alveolar process. Because ankylosed tooth does not respond orthodontic force, extraction was recommended in the past. But the loss of tooth and accompaning alveolar bone loss incur compromised esthetic situation. And it is very hard to replace by prosthetics. So intentional surgical luxation and orthodontic movement was attempted, but usually this approach is followed by recurrence of the ankylosis. Nowadays the unitooth subapical osteotomy and rapid movement of block bone was reported. Two cases we presented, one is treated by intentional luxation and the other is by unitooth subapical osteotomy following application of light continuous force soon.
Ceramide III was prepared by the cultivation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Ceramide III was partitioned from the cell extracts by solvent extraction and analyzed by Normal Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography (NP-HPLC) using Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD). We experimentally determined the mobile phase composition to separate ceramide III with NP-HPLC. Three binary mobile phases of n-hexane/ethanol, n-hexane/lsoprophyl Alcohol(IPA) and n-hexane/n-butanol and one ternary mobile phase of n-hexane/IPA/methanol were demonstrated. For the binary mobile phase of n-hexane/ethanol, the first mobile phase composition, 95/5(v/v), was step-increased to 72/23(v/v) at 3 min. In the binary mobile phase, the retention time of ceramide III was 7.87min, while it was 4.11 min respectively in the ternary system, where the mobile phase composition of n-hexane/IPA/methanol, 85/7/8(v/v/v), was step-increased to 75/10/15(v/v/v) at 3 min. However, in the ternary mobile phase, the more peak area of ceramide III was observed.
For the purpose of standardization and practicability of natural dyeing, the mordanting and dyeing properties of Acorn Shell was studied. Appropriate extraction, dyeing and mordanting condition of Acorn Shell were determined, and the effect of mordanting method on dye uptake and color fastness of dyed fabric was investigated. The maximum absorbance of Acorn Shell solution was at 287.5nm and 294nm. The pH effect was stable in the color difference changes. The optimum temperature to extract Acorn Shell was during 1 hour in $60^{\circ}C$. The effective dyeing temperature and time of silk were $80{\sim}100^{\circ}C$, 1hour. The silk fabrics dyed with Acorn Shell appeared yellow-brown. K/S value of dyeing fabrics was increased by mordant treatment. K/S value of post-mordanting was higher than pre-mordanting. Mordanting treatment attected color change of the dyed silk. In the case of Acorn Shell light fastness of appeared more than 3-5grades by post-mordanting. Abrasion fastness of appeared more than 3-5grades. Perspiration fastness of appered more than $3{\sim}5grades$ by mordant treatment but Cu mordant treatment was $2-5{\sim}4grades$. Dry-cleaning Fastness appered more than 4 grades except Cu mordant treatment. These fastness improvement were generally effective for mordant treatment, specially Al, Sn, Cr.
