The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of curing methods of adhesive resins and resin cements in the root canal. Crown portions of 32 single-rooted mandibular premolars were removed. Routine endodontic treatment was done, and 9 mm deep post spaces were prepared within root canals. No.3 FRC Postec posts (Ivoclar-Vivadent AG, Liechtensteih) were cemented in the post spaces by self-(SC) or light-curing (LC) using two dual-cured adhesives (Adper Scotchbond multi-purpose plus and Exite DSC )and resin cements (RelyX ARC and Variolink II). They were assigned to 4 groups (n=8): R-SC, R-LC, V-SC, V-LC group. After stored in distilled water for 24 hours, each root was transversally sectioned with 1.5 mm thick and made three slices. The specimens were subjected to push-out test in a universal testing machine (EZ Test, Shimadzu Co., Japan) with a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. The data were analyzed with repeated ANOVA and one-way ANOVA. Also the interface of post-resin cement and resin cement-canal wall of each group was observed under FE-SEM. When fiber posts were cemented into the root canal using total-etch adhesives, the bond strength and adaptation between post and root canal dentin was affected by curing method. Self-cure of adhesives and resin cements showed higher bond strength and closer adaptation than light-cure of them.
The shade of restorative materials is very important for successful restoration esthetically harmonized with the natural tooth. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the color stability and the opacity change of conventional chemical setting and visible light curing glass-ionomer cements for restorative esthetic filling. Specimens of each brand (GC Fuji II and Fuji II LC) were uniformly prepared and divided into three groups: In group l(control group), the specimens received no surface treatment; in group 2, the specimens were coated with varnish and the excess gently blown off; and in group 3. the specimens were coated with light-cured bonding resin and irradiated by a visible light curing unit for 20 seconds on both sides. All specimens were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ and checked after for 24 hours. 2 months. 4 months, 6 months. and 8 months. The color characteristics($L^*,\;a^*,\;b^*$) and the opacity(Y%) of all the samples were measured by a spectrocolorimeter and the total color differences(${\Delta}E^*$) and opacity changes(${\Delta}Y%$) were computed. The following results were obtained : 1. The total tolor differences in all groups increased with time. 2. The total color differences of the LC groups after immersion for 8 months in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ were lower than those of GC groups(p<0.01), and the total color differences of the varnish or the light-cured bonding resin coated groups were lower than those of the control group with glass-ionomer cements which had no surface treatment(p<0.01). 3. In all groups the translucency decreased with time. 4. In the control group and the varnish coating group. the opacity changes of the GC groups were lower than those of the LC groups(p<0.01) and in the light-cured bonding resin coated group, there was no significant difference between the GC group and the LC group. 5. The opacity changes of the varnish or the light-cured bonding resin coated groups were lower than those of the control group(p<0.01). These results suggest that color change and opacity of conventional chemical setting and light cured glass-ionomer cement were increased with time, and the color changes and the opacity changes of a control group after immersion for 8 months in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ were greater than those of the varnish or the light-cured bonding resin coated groups.
Statement of problem: Removable partial denture and complete denture often require denture base relines to improve the fit against the tissue-bearing mucosa because of gradual changes in edentulous ridge contours and resorption of underlying bone structure. Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the effect of surface design on bond strength of relining denture base resins to denture base acrylic resin. Materials and method: Heat curing resin(Lucitone 199, Dentsply U.S.A. and Vertex, Dentimex, Holland), self curing resin(Tokuso rebase, Tokuyama, Japan), and visible light curing resin(Triad, Dentsply, U.S.A.) were used in this study. The surface designs were classified as butt, bevel and rabbet joint and the bond strengths were measured by Universial Testing Machine (Zwick 2020, Zwick Co., Germany). Results and Conclusion: The obtained results from this study were as follows ; 1. The bond strength of Vertex resin was higher than those of Tokuso rebase and Triad. 2. The bond strength of rabbet and bevel joint was higher than that of butt joint. 3. The failure mode of Triad and Tokuso rebase was mainly adhesive, but cohesive failure was shown mainly in vertex.

Deformation of a mold is measured and analyzed in alignment and curing processes of UV-Imprint Lithography. We are focused on mold deformation caused by a UV resin, which is laminated between a mold and a target glass-panel. The UV resin is viscous in case of liquid state, and the resin will be solidified when being exposed by the ultra-violet light. The viscosity of the resin causes shear force on the mold during the alignment process. Moreover, the shrinkage during phase change from liquid to solid may cause residual stress on the mold. The experiments for measuring temperature and strain are made during alignment and curing process. Strain-gages and thermocouples are used for measuring the strain and variation of temperature on several points of the mold, respectively. The deformation of mold is also simulated and analyzed. The simulation results are compared with the experiments. Finally, sources of alignment errors in large area UV-nanoimprint lithography are discussed.
Shrink resist finishing of wool fabric was carried out with Monoethanol aminesulphite (MONAMIN BTN) shrink resist agent after chlorination with Dichloro isocyanuric acid (DCCA). The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of treating conditions, such as concentrations of DCCA and MONAMIN BTN, pH of treating bath, dyeing times, curing times and temperatures, on dyeing property of wool fabrics. K/S values and fastness properties of dyed wool fabrics were measured. The K/S values of dyed fabrics were increased gradually with increasing concentration, and decreased with increasing curing time. The optimum dyeing time and curing temperature were 60 min and $140^{\circ}C$, respectively. Also it seems likely that the shrink resist finishing carried out at 3% (o.w.f.) of MONAMIN BTN and pH 7 of resin treating bath is effective in increasing K/S values. Light fastness of fabric dyed was very poor and the fastness of fabric dyed was not influenced by the treatment conditions.
Purpose: This study aimed to compare the flexural properties and perform the Weibull analysis of photo-curing three-dimensional (3D) printing resin. Methods: Photo-curing temporary resin (3D polymer) was used as a printing resin. Specimens (65 × 10 × 3.3 ㎣) were prepared following the ISO 20975-1 guidelines and according to the different printing orientations using a digital light processing 3D printer (D2 120; Dentium). The flexural strength (FS), flexural modulus, and work of fracture (WOF) were measured using a universal testing machine (Instron 3344; Instron) at a crosshead speed of 5 mm/min. Results: In this study, the 0° orientation exhibited higher FS and WOF than the 45° orientation. Significant differences were found among the printing orientations (p<0.05). Specimens printed at the 0° orientation were the most accurate. In the Weibull analysis, 0° showed the greatest Weibull modulus (m), which represents a higher reliability. Conclusion: 3D printing should be selected and used by considering flexural properties, size accuracy, and reliability.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of temperature dependence of the behavior on the physical properties of posterior composite resins. Three light cure posterior composite resins (Heliomolar, Litefil-P, and P-50) and one chemical cure posterior composite resin (Bisfil-II) were used as experimental materials. Composite resin was placed in a cylindrical brass mold (2.5 mm high and 6.5 mm inside diameter) that was rested on a glass plate. Another flat glass was placed on top of the mold, and the plate was tightly clamped together. After the mold had been filled with the light cure composite material, the top surface was cured for 30 seconds with a light source. Chemical cure resin specimens were made in the same manner as above. Three hundreds and twenty composite resin specimens were constructed from the four composite materials. One hundred and sixty specimens of them were placed in a heater at $50^{\circ}C$, $75^{\circ}C$, $100^{\circ}C$, $125^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $175^{\circ}C$ and $200^{\circ}C$ for 5 minutes or 10 minutes respectively before compressive strengths were measured. Another one hundred and sixty specimens were tested for the diametral tensile strengths in the same way as above. They were randomly divided into eight groups according to the mode of heating methods as follows and stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours. Group $37^{\circ}C$ - specimens were stored at $37^{\circ}C$ in distilled water for 24 hours. Group $50^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $50^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $75^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $75^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $100^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $100^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $125^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $125^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $150^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $150^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $175^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $175^{\circ}C$ after curing. Group $200^{\circ}C$ - specimens were heated at $200^{\circ}C$ after curing. Twenty specimens of each of four composite resins were respectively made by insertion of materials into same mold for examining the dimensional changes between before and after heating. The final eighty specimens were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours before testing the dimensional changes. Compressive and diametral tensile strengths were measured crosshead speed 1mm/minute and 500Kg in full scale with a mechanical testing machine (DLC 500 Type, Shimadzu Co., Japan). Dimensional changes were determined by measuring the diametral changes of eighty specimens with micrometer (Mitutoyo Co., Japan). Results were as follows: 1. Diametral tensile strengths of specimens in all groups were increased with time heated compared with control group except for that in group $50^{\circ}C$ and the maximum diametral tensile strength was appeared in the specimen of Litefil-P heated for 10 minutes at $100^{\circ}C$. In heliomolar and P-50, it could be seen in the specimen heated for 10 minutes at $150^{\circ}C$, but in Bisfil-II, it could be found in the specimen heated for 5 minutes at $150^{\circ}C$. 2. Compressive strengths of specimens in all groups was tended to be also increased with time heated but that in group $50^{\circ}C$ and the maximum compressive strengths were showed in the same specimens conditioned as the diametral tensile strengths of four composite materials tested. 3. In Heliomolar, Litefil-P, and Bisfil-II, it was decreased in diameters of resin specimens between before heating and increased in diameters of resin specimens after storing in distilled water, but it was not in P-50. 4. There is little difference in diametral tensile strengths, compressive strengths, and dimensional changes followed by heating the resin specimens for 5 minutes and 10 minutes, but there is no statistical significances.

Relationship between axial strain and volumetric strain of Light-Weighted Foam Soil (LWFS) are investigated. LWFS is composed of the dredged soil from offshore, cement and foam to reduce the unit weight and also increase compressive strength. For this purpose. the triaxial compression tests are carried out on the prepared specimens of LWFS with various conditions such as initial water contents, cement contents, and curing stresses, The test results of LWFS Indicated that the axial strain - volumetric strain relationship is almost linearity with increase cement contents and the unit weight but the relationship is non-linearity with decrease cement contents and the unit weight. In this study, it is found that assuming no change of cross section area of LWFS, axial strain occurring the poisson's ratio of zero, that the axial strain same to volumetric strain, steeply increases with decrease the unit weight, initial water content, and cement contents.

We have manufactured a photoresist which has excellent dispersity and good applying property due to 330cps of viscosity for environment-friendly and economical maskless screen plate making. And the photoresist applied on the screen stretched was exposed without mask by beam projector with CRT light source. Then it was developed by air spray with $1.7kgf/cm^2$ of injection pressure. The pencil hardness and solvent resistance of curing photoresist film were worse than those of conventional photoresist film and the maximum resolution of line image formed by maskless screen plate making was 0.5 mm since the exposure system for maskless plate making has weak light intensity and the diffusion of light. But we could obtain maskless screen plate which has sharp edges of line image and confirm a possibility of dry development process by air spray method.
