The deposition behavior and photoelectric response characteristics of chlorophyll a(Chl a) monolayers and multilayers were investigated under various film fabrication conditions. Chl a LB films were deposited onto quartz and pretreated ITO glass substrates under several fabrication conditions, including surface pressure and number of layers. The absorption spectra of Chl a in a solution state and solid-like state (LB films) were fairly consistent with each other, and two absorption peaks were found at 678 and 438nm, respectively. The prepared Chl a LB films were set into an electrochemistry cell equipped with a Pt plate as the counter electrode, and the photoelectric response characteristics were obtained and analyzed relative to the light illumination. By considering the resulting photocurrents, the optimal fabrication conditions for Chl a LB films were determined as 20mN/m of surface pressure and 20 layers. The action spectrum of the Chl a LB films was obtained in the visible region, and was found to be in good agreement with the absorption spectrum. The possible application of the proposed system as a constituent of an artificial color recognition device was suggested based on combining with the photoelectric conversion property of another light-sensitive biological pigment.
A rapid and simple method for detecting colors was attempted on the basis of absorption and emission spectra of reflected light at $45^{\circ}$ angle from color-adsorbed filter paper illuminated by ultraviolet light through interference filter. Absorption spectra of prepared samples revealed more characteristic patterns than emission spectra. Detection of colors was readily accomplished by the investigation of wave length range, distribution pattern, the number of absorption bands and the degree of quenching.
We can expect reduction of the sunlight absorption quantity to a structure and an earth surface, a decline of the surface temperature and a decline of the heat transport volume in what there is a method I give the sunlight reflectance in the aspect to the surface of the building by painting sunlight high reflectance paint, and to reduce the sunlight absorption quantity to a structure and an earth surface and does so, and, in addition, a method high water retentivity of tree planting and the road surface of the city space uses evaporation latent heat of the water by making it, and to restrain a rise in temperature is thought about. and It is thought that I reduce the sunlight absorption quantity to not only the structure but also other structures and attention gathers to the reflexive reflector reflecting in the direction again and it is wide as a marker of a board and the clothing of the traffic sign and is used the incidence energy from a source of light for this reflexive reflector now by there is it and devises surface structure again, and controlling reflection directivity for the sunlight for the purpose of raising night visibility.
In the case of a AIGalnP/GaP system rectangular parallelepiped high brightness LED which has side walls etched to be slanted off the vertical direction, we have studied the effects of lossy electrodes and material absorption and etching depth and angle of side walls on its light extraction efficiency. If LEDs have no electrodes, in order to obtain an 80% light extraction efficiency of a TIP (truncated inverted pyramid) LED, the side-etched LEDs should have an etching angle of 22$^{\circ}$~45$^{\circ}$ and an etching depth of 8~17% of a dice height and an absorption coefficient less than 1 $cm^{-1}$ / In case of etching depth of 16~39% of a dice height, we can obtain a 90% light extraction efficiency of a TIP LED. But when LEDs have two electrodes and no absorption loss, in order to obtain an 80% light extraction efficiency of a TIP LEBs, the side-etched LEDs should have an etching angle of 25$^{\circ}$-45$^{\circ}$ and an etching depth of 30~36% of a dice height. In case of etching depth of 57~71% of a dice height, we can obtain a 90% light extraction efficiency of a TIP LED.
The electromagnetic (EM) wave absorption properties with a variation of crystallization annealing temperature have been investigated in a sheet-type absorber using the $Fe_{73}Si_{16}B_7Nb_3Cu_1$ alloy powder. With increasing the annealing temperature the complex permeability (${\mu}_r$), permittivity (${\varepsilon}_r$) and power absorption changed. The EM wave absorber shows the maximum permeability and permittivity after the annealing at $610^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour, and its calculated power absorption is above 80% of input power in the frequency range over 1.5 GHz.

The optical properties of the sea water were studied by use of underwater lux-meters in the coastal waters of Busan from May to November 1975. The absorption coefficient of the sea water in the area ranges from O. 169 to 1. 049 and the mean absorpflOn coefficient is 0.413. Maximum monthly mean absorption coefficient (0. 56) was observed in August, while the minimum was O. 338 in September. There was a distinct discontinuity layer of the absorption coefficient in accordance with the thermocline and the halocline in summer. The mean transparency of the area was 3. 8 meters, and transparency in autumn was higher than that in summer. The relation between absorption coefficient (m) and transparency (D) was deduced, m=1. 57/ D. The rate of light penetration at 5 m-layer of sea water was 2. 5 percent when the solar altitude was six degree in July 1975.

CFRP composites with light weight, high strength, and high elasticity by comparing with metal are widely used rather than previous steel plates. However, CFRP composite material has the weakness at hydrothermal and collapsed impact environment. Especially, moisture absorption into composite material can change molecule arrangement and chemical properties under hydrothermal environment. And static collapse experiment is the research in the differences of absorbed energy and deformation mode between moisture and non-moisture absorbed specimens. This study is compared and analyzed on the progress change of moisture absorption ratio after setting up the temperatures of 60 and 80 degrees C in order to comprehend how the change in the temperature influences on moisture absorption status inside CFRP composite materials.

Recently the objective of vehicle design was focused on the crash safety and the energy saving. For the energy saving vehicle structures must be light weight, but for the crash safety some energy absorbing elements must be added. In this paper hybrid structure which consists of a steel and a FRP was studied on the energy absorption characteristics under the impact load by finite element method. Test results of the other researchers were compared with that of computer simulation on this simple hybrid structure. Side rail of vehicle front structure was replaced with hybrid materials for the application of the vehicle structure. 35mph frontal crash simulation was performed with hybrid structure and with conventional steel structure. By the adoption of hybrid structure, the improvement of energy absorption characteristics and reduction of weight was observed under the frontal crash simulation.

We examined the effective utilization of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to enhance the light absorption performance in thin CuIn1-xGaxSe2 (CIGS) solar cells with dual (top and bottom) gratings. The PSO tuned structure was demonstrated to be capable of achieving high and ultra broadband absorption spectra due to well-spaced and well-defined absorption peaks, which were SPPs and photonic modes induced by the metal and dielectric gratings. For only TM polarization and both polarizations, the fully optimized net absorptions exhibit 85.6% and 78.1%, which correspond to ~35.4% and ~23.5% improvement compared to optimized flat structures, respectively.

Square tubes used for vehicle structure components have an important role on keeping its stiffness and preserving occupant safety in vehicle collision and rollover in which it experience axial collapse, bending collapse or both. Bending collapse, which absorbs kinetic energy of the impact and retains a survival space for the occupant, is a dominant failure mode in oblique collision and rollover. Thus, in this paper, the bending collapse characteristics such as the maximum bending moment and energy absorption capacity of the square tube replaced by light-weight material were evaluated and presented. The bending test of cantilever tubes which were fabricated with aluminum, GFRP and aluminum/ GFRP hybrid by co-curing process was performed. Then the maximum bending moment and the energy absorption capacity from the moment-angle curve were evaluated. Based on the test results, it was found that aluminum/ GFRP hybrid tube can show better specific energy absorption capacity compared to the pure aluminum or GFRP tube and can convert unstable collapse mode which may occur in pure GFRP tube to stable collapse mode like a aluminum tube in which plastic hinge is developed.
