인출력 저감을 통한 SSD Test Gender의 장수명 설계 (Long Life Design of SSD Test Gender by Reducing Ejecting Force)

  • Recently, the electronic equipment industry has become active due to the continuous increase in portable storage media with high-speed information communication, and in particular, the production of SSD(Solid State Drives) for miniaturization of mobile devices and high-speed information communication has increased rapidly. When the SSD is ejecting in the SSD test gender, the necessary ejecting force must be kept constant to have a lifespan applicable to the test device. When the ejecting force increased, it leads to wear of the link for ejecting, which causes a problem in that repeated durability decreases and the ejecting of the SSD becomes impossible. In this paper, the repeated durability test analysis according to the material and the reducing ejecting force design were performed to increase the life of the test gender for SSD inspection. The wear level of the pusher head and ejector was analyzed through repeated durability tests according to the material of the pusher head. The validity of the design was verified through the ejecting force test and repeated durability test of the Test gender, which was designed by carrying out the design to reduce the size and ejecting force of the test gender.

Reuse potential of spent RO membrane for NF and UF process

  • With the increasing demand on reverse osmosis (RO) membranes for water purification worldwide, the number of disposed membrane elements is expected to increase accordingly. Thus, recycling and reuse of end-of-life RO membranes should be a global environmental action. In this work, we aim to reuse the spent RO membrane for nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) process by subjecting the spent membrane to solvent and oxidizing solution treatment, respectively. Our results showed that solvent-treated RO membrane could perform as good as commercial NF membrane by achieving similar separation efficiencies, but with reduced water permeability due to membrane surface fouling. By degrading the polyamide layer of RO membrane, the transformed membrane could achieve high water permeability (85.6 L/㎡.h.bar) and excellent rejection against macromolecules (at least 87.4%), suggesting its reuse potential as UF membrane. More importantly, our findings showed that in-situ transformation on the spent RO membrane using solvent and oxidizing solution could be safely conducted as the properties of the entire spiral wound element did not show significant changes upon prolonged exposure of these two solutions. Our findings are important to open up new possibilities for the discarded RO membranes for reuse in NF and UF process, prolonging the lifespan of spent membranes and promoting the sustainability of the membrane process.

Peracetic Acid Treatment as an Effective Method to Protect Wood Discoloration by UV Light

  • Wood has always been used for various day-to-day applications such as interior or exterior construction materials, and household products. However, it can undergo photodegradation and discoloration by environmental factors including ultraviolet (UV) light, and thus has shortened its service life. Bleaching or delignification of wood surfaces is a suitable solution to stabilize wood against weathering by UV because these techniques can alter or remove the chromophores in lignin, which is a main factor of wood discoloration. To improve the color stability of wood surface according to the lifespan, surface delignification was conducted using peracetic acid (PAA) and hydrogen peroxide (HP) on the woods of Larix kaempferi and Quercus mongolica. After the PAA treatment, L* increased considerably from 60-70 to 90-95. Furthermore, wood surface color did not change significantly after UV exposure. The color differences (𝜟E*) between before and after PPA treatment of wood showed the 4.8-12.2 of L. kaempferi, and 1.7-3.7 of Q. mongolica, respectively. The lignin-related peaks in Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) spectra disappeared with increased duration of PAA treatment. These results confirmed that the lignin component was partially or completely removed after the PAA treatment; the color differences (𝜟E*) clearly showed that there was a reduction in redness (a*) and yellowness (b*), and an increase in lightness (L*) owing to the removal of lignin. Based on these results, this study demonstrated that the partial removal of lignin from wood surfaces is a fundamental method for resolving photo-degradation.

운전조건에 따른 펌프 터빈 시스템의 안정성 연구 (Reliability Investigation of a Pump-Turbine System at Various Operating Conditions)

  • Pump-turbine system is widely used by the hydropower industry for stabilizing the electrical grid in the vast growing economy of most developed countries. This study only investigates the Fluid-structure Interaction (FSI) analysis of the pump-turbine system at various operating conditions. The FSI analysis can show how reliable each component of the system is by providing the engineer with a better understanding of high stress and deformation points, which could reduce the lifespan of the pump-turbine. Pump-turbine components are categorized in two parts, pressurized static parts and movable stressed parts. The fixed parts include the spiral casing, top and bottom cover, stay vane and draft tube. The movable parts include guide vanes and impeller blades. Fine hexahedral numerical grids were used for CFD calculation and fine tetrahedral grids were used for structural analysis with imported load solution mapping greater than 90 %. The maximum equivalent stress are much smaller than the material yield stress, and the maximum equivalent stress showed an increasing tendency with the varying of operating conditions from partial to excessive at both modes. In addition, the total deformation of all the operating conditions showed a small magnitude, which have quite small influence on the structural stability. It can be conjectured that this system can be safely implemented.

FRM: Foundation-policy Recommendation Model to Improve the Performance of NAND Flash Memory

  • 최근, 낸드 플래시 메모리는 비휘발성, 높은 집적도, 높은 내구성으로 인하여 다양한 컴퓨터 시스템에서 자기 디스크를 대체하고 있지만 연산 처리 속도 불균형 및 수명 제한과 같은 한계를 가진다. 따라서 낸드 플래시 메모리의 단점을 극복하고자 디스크 버퍼 관리정책들이 연구되고 있다. 비록 이러한 관리정책들이 다양한 작업 환경과 응용 프로그램의 실행 특성을 반영하는 것은 명확하나, 이들을 위한 기초 관리 정책 결정 방식에 대한 연구는 그에 비하면 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 낸드 플래시 메모리를 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 기초 관리정책 제안 모델인 FRM을 소개한다. FRM은 워크로드를 다양한 특성에 따라 분석하고 낸드 플래시 메모리가 가지는 특성들과 조합하는 모델로, 이를 통해 작업 환경에 가장 알맞은 기초 관리 정책을 제시한다. 결과적으로 제안하는 모델은 학습 데이터와 검증 데이터에 대해 Accuracy와 Weighted Average 측면에서 각각 92.85%와 88.97%의 기초 관리정책 예측 정확도를 보여주었다.

여대생의 소프트 콘택트렌즈 착용자에 대한 연구 (A Study of Soft Contact Lens Wearer on Women College Students)

  • 소프트 콘택트렌즈를 착용하고 있는 한국인 여대생을 대상으로 이들의 소프트 콘택트 렌즈 학용에 관련된 각종 문제점을 비교분석한 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 대부분 소프트렌즈의 구입은 안경원이다. 2. 대부분 소프트 콘택트렌즈 착용의 동기는 안경 사용의 불편함이다. 3. 대게 렌즈 사용의 만족도는 중등도이다. 4. 렌즈 교체의 주요 원인에 대해서 10대는 렌즈의 손상이며 20대는 사용기간의 만기이다. 5. 하루 중 렌즈 사용의 기간에 대해서 10대는 10시간 이상이며, 20대는 7시간에서 10시간 사이이다. 6. 콘택트 렌즈 관리와 처방의 어려움에 대해서는 10대는 세척과 저장을, 20대는 세척과 소독이다. 7. 렌즈 취급의 주요 어려움에 대해서 10대는 렌즈 제거와 렌즈 케이스 소독을, 20대는 관리용액의 취급과 렌즈의 삽입이다. 8. 렌즈의 삽입중 가장 어려운 사항에 대해서 10대는 눈에 렌즈의 걸림과 두려운 감정이, 20대는 두려운 감정이다. 9. 렌즈 제거시 어려움에 대해서는 눈의 개안 유지가 대부분이다. 10. 렌즈 착용중 가장 불편한 사항은 충혈, 이물감, 동통 등이다. 11. 렌즈 착용의 장점에서 10대는 주로 안경 불편함이며, 20대는 미용이다.

다공성 구조를 갖는 (Ni,Co)Se2-CNT microsphere의 합성과 소듐 이차전지 음극활물질로서의 전기화학적 특성 연구 (Synthesis of porous-structured (Ni,Co)Se2-CNT microsphere and its electrochemical properties as anode for sodium-ion batteries)

  • 전이금속 칼코젠화물은 소듐 이차전지의 음극재로서 높은 이론 용량을 가지나 충·방전 과정에서 큰 부피 팽창으로 인해 짧은 수명 특성을 보이며, 낮은 전기전도도로 인해 출력 특성을 저하시킨다는 문제가 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 분무열분해와 후 열처리 공정을 통해 다공성의 CNT ball과 (Ni,Co)Se2 나노결정이 복합된 구조체를 합성하였으며, 이를 소듐 이차전지의 음극에 적용시켜 전기화학적 특성을 평가하였다. 합성된 소재는 분무열분해 동안 Polystyrene(PS) 나노비드의 분해로 인해 다공성 구조를 형성하여 충방전 과정에서 발생하는 부피팽창을 효과적으로 수용하였으며, CNT 소재와의 복합화를 통해 전기화학적 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 이로 인해 다공성 구조의 (Ni,Co)Se2-CNT 복합소재는 0.2 A g-1의 전류밀도에서 698 mA h g-1의 높은 초기 방전용량을 보였으며, 100 사이클 후 400 mA h g-1의 방전용량을 유지함을 보였다.

서울시 노인종합복지관의 공간 구조적 연결 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the relationship in spatial structure of senior Center in Seoul)

  • The percentage of senior citizens is increasing in Korea and it is expected to become an "aging society". Problems with the elderly are becoming a big concern, such as physical and mental illness, losing their jobs and having difficulties at home. But, the silver generation, as they are being known, has changed a lot these days. With the aid of medical developments, the elderly's lifespan has become longer, making them more independent and active. Senior Welfare Center's are places where the elderly can spend their golden years in comfort, meaningfully. Senior Welfare Center's these days provide many different programs, which naturally lead to an increase in elderly users. With the rise in welfare centers and users, research on the subject also grew. As this topic has only recently become an issue, there were not many spatial structure studies considering elderly movement. Therefore, there should be spatial structure research that considers older users space awareness and how it can be managed effectively. The goal of this study is to present basic resources for providing a comfortable senior welfare center for elders. This will be based on quantitative analysis derived from spatial structure research along with special construction characteristics based on the institution's general plan. As a research method, Senior Welfare Center's will be categorized into corridor type, hall type, and hybrid types which then be reproduced into a j-graph. Based on this, special structure characteristics and connection links will be comprehended. Then the connection link will be analyzed based on the space syntax result calculated from each type's integration, connectivity, control value, and intelligibility. The analysis result shows that Senior Welfare Center j-graph's average arrangement is hybrid>corridor>hall types. Those elders lacking awareness need easily perceivable spatial structure's and hall type's would be the best choice to increase their awareness as it has high articulation. However, hall type's would be difficult to construct with the size increase, so hybrid type would be the next logical solution. Space with relatively high articulation will need to be planned in hybrid type's where rest areas can be created within the halls in the Welfare Center in connection to its corridors.
