  • Purpose: Leg length discrepancy causes the posture deformation, gait asymmetry, and lower back pain. The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation among functional leg length discrepancy (FLLD), muscle activity, muscle contraction onset time and vertical ground reaction force (vGRF) during simple lifting task. Methods: Thirty-nine subjects participated in this study. FLLD was measured from the umbilicus to medial malleolus of left and right leg using a tape. The subjects performed to lift a 10 kg box from the floor to chest. The muscle activity and muscle contraction onset time of rectus abdominis, erector spinae and rectus femoris was measured using EMG system and vGRF was measured by two force plate. Pearson correlation was used to fine out the correlation among FDDL, muscle activity, muscle contraction onset time and vGRF during simple lifting task. Results: Correlation between FLLD and difference of muscle activity of short-long side was very high (r>0.9) during simple lifting task. Correlation between FLLD and difference of muscle contraction onset time of short-long side was very high (r>0.9) during simple lifting task. And correlation between FLLD and difference of vGRF of short-long side was high (r>0.7) during simple lifting task. Conclusion: This study suggests that there is high correlation between FLLD and muscle activity, muscle contraction onset time, and ground reaction force during simple lifting task. Therefore, FLLD could negatively affect the postural balance.

  • According to the original chart parsing algorithm, a sentence is parsed in a strict left-to-right order. The modified chart parsing algorithm proposed in this paper breaks the strictness. With the proposed algorithm, a sentence is parsed in a random order. Conventional left-to-right parsing is also possible, since left-to-right parsing is a special case of random-order parsing. The proposed parsing algorithm is an extension of chart parsing algorithm and its control structure is very simple, so that it is easy to implement the algorithm.

  • internal thoracic artery is used in myocardial revascularization because of many advantages. However, it may not be appropriate in the usual extrapleural or intrapleural route, because it can be easily displaced and injured due to the slender and weak characteristics. We introduce here, a simple technique of repositioning the skeletonized left internal thoracic artery in a stable and straight course by creating a tunnel between the left lateral pericardium and thymic tissue.

  • We report a case of myiasis on the left submandibular area after radiation therapy for squamous cell carcinoma. A 77-year-old man visited our hospital, 7 weeks after complicating a course of radiation therapy, had a 7cm diameter necrotic ulcer on the left submandible. The margin of the lesion were undermined by numerous interlinking passages containing 20 maggots. The maggots were removed by simple extraction and were identified as Calliphoridae Lucilia. The probable origin of the myiasis in this case was attributed to poor environmental condition and general weakness of the patient. Oppotunistic cutaneous myiasis can be prevented by protecting open wounds from flies, wound should not be left without a covering capable of excluding flies, especially in the summer month.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the relationship between the computer learning and the paper and pencil learning through the math learning (simple computation and complex computation) and the cartoon learning and text learning. The canonical correlation and pairwise t-test of the SMR asymmetry brainwaves of the left and the right brain show the brainwaves with the respect to the manner in which they process information during the specified task by identifying the relative activity of the brainwaves of the left and the right brain. SMR brainwave which known as the scientific measure tool for the activity and the function of the neuronal cell were found to predict the level of the awakening to check the readiness of study preparation. Computer education as a medium of the individualized and the repetitive education shows the difference from the paper and the pencil test in the respect of the differences and the relationship of the SMR brainwave of the learning process.

  • In this paper, consider the three cases of decide for appling point a general Simple Genetic Algorithm about heuristic method(Bottom and Left Sliding) at the piece auto-nesting on the row plate. The 1st case, about only using the Simple Genetic Algorithm. The 2nd case, applied the heuristic method to the genetic operating of the Simple Genetic Algorithm. The 3rd case, applied the heuristic method to the final result of the Simple Genetic Algorirhm. The estimation of final result were proceed to developed simulation program in this research.

  • A ring R is called right mininjective if every isomorphsim between simple right ideals is given by left multiplication by an element of R. In this paper we consider that the necessary and sufficient condition for that Trivial extension of R by V, i.e. T(R; V ) is mininjective. We also study the split null extension R and S by V.

  • Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) of the spermatic cord represents an uncommon location for the most common soft tissue tumor in adults. MFH of the spermatic cord is extremely rare. No case report has been described in the Korean literature. We report a case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma, myxoid type, arising from left spermatic cord. A 77-year-old male presented with a painless left upper scrotal mass for 5 months. Simple mass excision was performed for a diagnosis. Grossly, the mass closely contacted with the left spermatic cord. Since a myxoid type of malignant fibrous histiocytoma was diagnosed from histopathological findings, left radical orchiectomy with high ligation of the spermatic cord was performed additionally. There were no evidence of local recurrence or metastasis at 6 months after surgery.
