Purpose: This study was designed to explore the influencing factors on self-directed learning ability of nursing students and to investigate the relationship between learning style, learning attitude, and self-directed learning ability. Methods: The study sample was composed of 263 nursing students. Data were collected from March 8th to April 7th, 2011 using a questionnaire which included Kolb's learning style inventory, learning attitude inventory, and self-directed learning ability inventory. Results: Learning styles of the subjects were assimilator 33.8%, converger 31.9%, accommodator 24.7%, and diverger 9.5%. There was no significant difference in learning styles among grades. However, the total mean score of learning attitude (F=8.30, p<.001) and self-directed learning ability (F=2.85, p=.038) significantly differed among grades. Learning attitude positively correlated to self-directed learning ability (r=.62, p<.001). Learning attitude was the most significant predictor and accounted for 36.5% of the variance in self-directed leaning ability in nursing students. Conclusion: It is important for students to use all four learning styles rather than to rely solely on one style. There should be more emphasis placed on the development of positive learning attitude and self-directed learning ability of nursing students.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine learning styles and preferred learning methods of clinical nurses. Method: Data were collected from 735 nurses at one university hospital in Seoul. Learning style inventory, a self-report questionnaire was completed by the subjects. Result: Learning styles of nurses were accommodator 35.9%, diverger 30.4%, converger 18.2%, assimilator 15.5%. Learning styles varied significantly with clinical practice area and academic background. Furthermore, RO(reflective observation) learning mode varied significantly according to the clinical practice area. AC(abstractive conceptualization) learning mode varied significantly with job position. AC and AE(active experimentation) learning modes varied significantly according to the academic background and preferred learning method. Preferred learning methods were lecture 24.8%, clinical practice 23.1%, self-directed learning 21.5%, audiovisual education 16.7%, and group discussion 13.9%. Preferred learning methods varied significantly with learning styles and career. Lecture was preferred in diverger and self-directed learning was preferred in assimilator. Clinical practice was preferred in accommodator and converger. Conclusions: This study suggested that clinical education should be applied to nurses after examining learning styles and preferred learning methods. In conclusion, to identify the nurses' learning styles could be helpful for developing the effective educational skill.
The Education has responsibility for predicting the social changes and cultivating global talent which the society needs. The ministry of education, science and technology in govern ment has been the concerns on social educational changes and thus built the '5 31 educational reform policy' in 1995 by the educational reform committee. As a solution of a social change, this paper reviews the three-phase educational information policies, and e-learning and u-learning which are the main technologies in educational information. Also, the technologies of e-learning can be divided into m-learning, t-learning, u-learning, r-learning, game-based learning according to the contents mass media. Among them, this paper introduces the concept of robot-learning, called r-learning, and compares it with u-learning.

This study aims to determine the effect of changes in learning systems and its effects on students' learning outcomes amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample of this study are the students who are in Jakarta, Indonesia. "Non-probability random sampling" technique has been used to select the samples while the sampling method used is "purposive sampling", where criteria are used to select samples. The samples in this study are 200 people taken randomly using Google Form. Concentration ability and learning interest can affect learning outcomes with the mediation of learning comfort and a good learning environment. As well as physical distancing can moderate the effect of concentration ability and learning interest on learning outcomes. The ability to concentrate on improving learning outcomes requires psychomotor improvement. Whereas interest in learning with indicators of learning awareness can improve learning outcomes. A clean environment is a strength in the learning comfort and the community environment can be recommended in the learning environment. The implementation of the restriction of gathering becomes an important point of physical distancing. The other novelties are the learning comfort and the learning environment as mediating variables and physical distancing as moderating variables in one study at a time.

This study intends to present essential models for collaborative learning in e-learning environment as well as to analyze learning behavior elements appearing in collaborative learning activities. In order to achieve goal of the study, the researchers analyzed existing cooperative learning models for face-to-face classroom, collaborative activity models based on instructional theory, and the structures and activities elements of learning community and collaborative activity models focusing on e-learning environment. As a result of the study, the researchers produced a generalizable collaborative learning model for e-learning which include general collaborative learning model, and further analyzed specific learning behaviors performed by learners while they proceed in this model based learning processes. The adequacy of this model and reliability of learning behavior elements were tested through experts' review meetings. The research result, suggesting generalizable collaborative learning model as well as learning behaviors elements which might occur within e-learning based collaborative learning, might work as a foundational model for software infrastructure and e-learning solution business. Moreover, its value might be maximized if its being used for enhancing learning content interoperability and reuse as well as for establishing international standardization for collaborative technology.
The purpose of this paper is to study of the attitude of e-learning on the effectiveness of e-learning and the antecedents of e-learning. For this study, samples were collected from students who had attended a cyber lecture at university. Structural equation model was used to analyze the data. The result of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, the attitude of e-learning has a positive effect on the e-learning effectiveness. Second, ease of use of learning management system, learning motivation, information quality of learning contents has positive effect on the attitude of e-learning, but usefulness of learning management system has no effect on the attitude of e-learning. Therefore, the former consists of learning management system, learning contents and information quality that are provided by e-learning and the latter means learning motivation.
Background: Hybrid learning is an educational approach that combines the teaching methods of online and lecture-style classes to compensate for each method's strengths and weaknesses. Compared to lecture-style classes, flipped learning improves overall class satisfaction and self-directed learning but is associated with lower learning motivation. It is necessary to determine whether hybrid flipped learning can solve the learning motivation problem of flipped learning by incorporating flipped learning into hybrid learning. The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of hybrid flipped learning and flipped learning on students' learning ability. Design: Cross-sectional study Methods: For students in the Department of Physical Therapy, classes were conducted using both flipped learning and hybrid flipped learning. In both learning methods, students took online classes first and participated in them every week. Flipped learning classes was conducted offline at school every week, while hybrid flipped learning alternated between live classes on YouTube and offline classes at school every other week. Results: Hybrid flipped learning resulted in significantly lower learning satisfaction and course evaluation than flipped learning, with no significant difference in grades. Conclusion: Hybrid flipped learning was able to cope with the situation well with the non-face-to-face teaching method caused by COVID-19, but it was difficult to improve learning ability because there were restrictions on activities that could interact with students. Flipped learning is a smooth offline activity that enables two-way activities between professors and students to improve learning ability, but the effect of improving test scores is still unclear.
Learning procedure in the neural network is updating of weights between neurons. Unadequate initial learning coefficient causes excessive iterations of learning process or incorrect learning results and degrades learning efficiency. In this paper, adaptive learning algorithm is proposed to increase the efficient in the learning algorithms of Kohonens Self-Organization Neural networks. The algorithm updates the weights adaptively when learning procedure runs. To prove the efficiency the algorithm is experimented to clustering of the random weight. The result shows improved learning rate about 42~55% ; less iteration counts with correct answer.
This study analyzed the learning components of the web-based adaptive math learning programs in order to develop adaptive math learning program using artificial intelligence. The components of the web-based adaptive math learning program set for analysis are classified into learning process presentation, concept learning, problem presentation, problem solving process, and learning result processing then analyzed three programs. As a result of analysis, the typical characteristic of components is that it uses a method of repeatedly presenting the same type of problem in order to learn one concept.
