계절, 부분, 색의 영향에 의한 양배추의 유리 아미노산 함량 변화 (Effect of season, tissue position and color on content of amino acids in cabbage (Brassica oleracea))

  • The contents of free amino acid in cabbage cultivars originated from China and Korea were measured to determine the quality for taste and nutrition. The experimental variables were season (spring-sowing and fall-sowing), leaf position (inside and outside), and the cabbage color (green and red). Eighteen free amino acids were detected at the range of 0-38 mg/g dry weight. The most abundant amino acid was serine(0-128 mg/g). Alanine, aspartate, glutamate, asparagine, histidine, and proline were relatively rich at 2-12 mg/g dry weight. Glycine were significantly increased in spring-sowing cabbages by 2-fold but proline was reversely decreased by 7-fold. The inside parts of cabbages contained significantly more alanine, glutamate, glycine, isoleucine, serine, and valine than the outside ones. The higher contents of isolecuine, leucine, proline, and valine were observed in the red cabbages than the green ones. The significant cross effects of season-color and position-color were also observed, indicating the red and the green cabbages were differently affected by season and tissue position.

  • The real nature of the west wind in Shelley's Ode to the West Wind is the divine providence which influences all things in this world- that is, whether they are on land, in the sky, or in the sea. The divine providence is the manifestation of something beyond the present and tangibel object. In the first stanza, the real nature of the west wind in this poem is the wild wind, the breath of Autumn's being, the unseen presence, the azure sister of the Spring, a Destroyer, a Preserver, the winged seed, a creator, a philosopher, a poet, Shelley, and the wild spirit moving everywhere. In the second stanza, the real nature of the west wind in this poem is cloud, the angel of rain and lightning, fierce Maenad, the approaching storm, the congregated might, the black rain, the fire, hail, solid atmosphere, the tremendous power of revolutionary change, and the power that influences all things in the sky. In the third stanza, the real nature of the west wind in this poem is the voice that makes the oozy woods which wear the sapless foliage of the Atlantic, and the power makes the blue Mediterranean wake from his summer dream. the fit medium of expression which Shelley's soul was seeking for, Shelley's passion, Shelley's partner, Shelley's co-worker, and a strong presence which influences in the sea. In the fourth stanza, the real nature of the west wind in this poem is the mightest presence, the power, the strength, the free presence, the uncontrollable, the wanderer over heaven, a vision, the tameless, the swift, the proud and the God who can save Shelley form the heavy weight of hours and lift Shelley as a wave a leaf, a cloud. In the fifth stanza, the real nature of the west wind in this poem is the mighty harmony, the fierce Spirit, Shelley's spirit, the impetuous spirit, incanation of this verse, spark, the trumpet of a prophecy, the Providence which can make the Winter depart and call Spring, and the prophet. To conclude, the real nature of the west wind in this poem is Shelley's accumulated insight that he visulize his impulse of revolutionary thought.

동백가는나방(Caloptilia theivora)의 생활사, 발생소장 및 천적의 종류 (Life History, Seasonal Occurrence and Natural Enemies of Caloptilia theivora (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) at Tea Tree Plantation)

  • 우리나라 주요 녹차재배지에 발생하는 동백가는나방(차굴나방 전가칭. Caloptilia theivora (Walshingham))의 생활사와 발생소장을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 동백가는나방은 야외 사육상 조건에서 년 6세대 경과하였는데, 난에서 우화까지의 평균기간은 봄.가을에는 32.1~38.6일, 여름에는 24.8~32.7일이었으며, 성충수명은 봄.가을에 8.4~14.5일, 여름에는 6.3~8.6일이었고 산란수는 55~71개였다. 유충의 연중 발생소장을 보면, 1992~1993년에는 5월 중순에 발생 peak를 보이기 시작하여 3~4회의 peak가 나타났으나 1994년에는 발생량이 감소하여 초기에는 뚜렷한 발생 peak가 나타나지 않다가 9월 하순~10월 초순에 발생량이 가장 많았으며, 잎에서 용태로 월동하였다. 동백가는나방의 유증기생봉으로는 Stenomesius japonicus (Ashmead). Sympiesis ringoniellae Kamijo, S. dolichogaster Ashmead와 Elasmus sp.등 4종이 채집 동정되었으며, S. dolichogaster가 우점종이다.

분화용 국화 노랑색 홑꽃 'My Sun' 육성 (New Yellow Single Chrysanthemum 'My Sun' for Pot Plant)

  • 'My Sun'은 경기도농업기술원에서 2009년도에 육성한 분화용 국화 신품종으로 2005년도에 오렌지 계열 분화용 국화 'Omega Time Orange' 품종을 모본으로 하고 흰색 'Tasman' 품종을 부본으로 교배하여 얻었다. 이 품종은 노란색 꽃잎을 가진 초장이 짧은 홑꽃이다. 2006-2009년까지 춘계 촉성재배와 동계 억제재배를 포함하는 특성검정을 수행하였다. 'My Sun' 품종의 자연개화기는 10월 13일이며, 전조재배와 차광재배로 개화가 조절되어 주년 재배가 가능하다. 화경은 21mm, 착화수는 본당 34.4매이고 꽃잎수는 20.4매이다. 엽색은 녹색(Green Group 137A)이고 초장은 13.3cm이다. 개화소요일수는 춘계에는 단일처리 후 42일 정도이며, 분지수는 겨울철에는 3.4개 정도를 가진다. 이 품종은 흰녹병 저항성이고 대조품종에 비해 기호도가 높은 편이었다.

WASTE CLASSIFICATION OF 17×17 KOFA SPENT FUEL ASSEMBLY HARDWARE

  • Metal waste generated from the pyroprocessing of 10 MtU of spent fuel was classified by comparing the specific activity of a relevant radionuclide with the limit value of the specific activity specified in the Korean acceptance criteria for a lowand intermediate-level waste repository. A Korean Optimized Fuel Assembly design with a 17${\times}$17 array, an initial enrichment of 4.5 weight-percent, discharge burn-up of 55 GWD/MtU, and a 10-year cooling time was considered. Initially, the mass and volume of each structural component of the assembly were calculated in detail, and a source term analysis was subsequently performed using ORIGEN-S for these components. An activation cross-section library generated by the KENO-VI/ORIGEN-S module was utilized for top-end and bottom-end pieces. As a result, an Inconel grid plate, a SUS plenum spring, a SUS guide tube subpart, SUS top-end and bottom-end pieces, and an Inconel top-end leaf spring were determined to be unacceptable for the Gyeongju low- and intermediate-level waste repository, as these waste products exceeded the acceptance criteria. In contrast, a Zircaloy grid plate and guide tube can be placed in the Gyeongju repository. Non-contaminated Zircaloy cladding occupying 76% of the metal waste was found to have a lower level of specific activity than the limit value. However, Zircaloy cladding contaminated by fission products and actinides during the decladding process of pyroprocessing was revealed to have 52 and 2 times higher specific activity levels than the limit values for alpha and $^{90}Sr$, respectively. Finally, it was found that 88.7% of the metal waste from the 17${\times}$17 Korean Optimized Fuel Assembly design should be disposed of in a deep geological repository. Therefore, it can be summarized that separation technology with a higher decontamination factor for transuranics and strontium should be developed for the efficient management of metal waste resulting from pyroprocessing.

폐기물을 활용한 업사이클링 뷰티디자인 (Upcycling Beauty Design Using Waste)

  • This study delves into the realm of upcycling beauty design by repurposing discarded CDs, magazines, and fabrics. The study outlines a meticulous process for transforming waste into beauty designs. We created three upcycling beauty design works as part of this investigation. The first creation, called Silver Leaf, uses the silver section of CDs to craft leaves and stems. Achromatic colors are used as makeup to achieve cyber-inspired imagery. After carrying out silver-gray eye makeup, the lips were completed by affixing a CD component. The second creation is a firebird crafted by cutting or folding fashion magazines to create essential items. The colorful firebird image was completed using vivid color makeup of shades such as red and yellow. After proceeding with red eye makeup, the lips were completed by cutting and pasting magazine cutouts. The third piece is a spring flower, which involved selectively cutting lace patterns to complete a beauty design extending from head to face. The colors are spring-themed and encompass pink, yellow, and blue. Pink, blue, and green eyeshadows were applied on the lace, attached from head to face, chest, and lips. This study advocates for the prospect of upcycling beauty design using sustainable materials by repurposing waste resources. It also introduces the possibilities of creative activities in this field through upcycling. The study aims to play a role in changing the perception of environmental conservation, a concern of our times, through the use of sustainable resources.

Zoysiagrass에 Waitea circinata에 의한 Waitea Ring Patch 발생 (First Report of Waitea Ring Patch caused by Waitea circinata on Zoysiagrass)

  • Zoysiagrass는 대표적인 난지형 잔디로 Curvularia leaf spot, Large patch, Rhizoctonia blight, Spring dead spot, 그리고 Dollar spot 등의 다양한 병에 직면해 있으며 최근에는 많은 병원균들의 복합 감염에 의한 잔디병 양상을 보이고 있다. 최근에 패취형태의 병반을 가진 zoysiagrass 엽조직으로 부터 Rhizoctonia 속과 유사한 곰팡이를 분리하였다. 리보소옴 DNA의 염기서열을 분석하여 Waitea circinata 균주들과 98% 이상의 상동성을 보였고, Koch's 법칙에 따라 zoysiagrass에서 병원성을 확인하여 이 병의 주 원인균은 Waitea circinata로 판명되었다. 따라서 본 병은 zoysiagrass에서 Waitea circinata에 의해 최초로 국내에서 발생한 병으로 사료되며, 기본 병명과 동일하게 Waitea ring patch로 사용하기를 제안하고자 한다.

  • 군용 차량의 경우 야지 주행에 대한 성능 시험이 필수적인데 실차 시험의 경우 비용과 시간에 의한 제약을 받게 되므로, 시뮬레이션을 통한 성능 분석이 효율적이다. 본 연구에서는 상용 다물체 해석프로그램인 MSC.ADAMS 를 이용하여 차량 모델을 개발한다. 타이어 수직 강성 시험을 수행하고 FTire 모델에 반영하여 타이어 모델을 생성한다. 댐퍼의 경우 비선형 특성 시험을 통해 얻은 결과를 반영하여 댐퍼를 모델링 하였으며, 겹판 스프링은 빔 요소 모델로 차량 모델을 구성한다. 단순 장애물 통과 시험 및 파형로 통과 시험을 수행하고 가속도 응답 및 휠 하중 응답 분석을 통해 차량 모델의 신뢰성을 검증하였다.

  • Nowadays, the improvement and development of Multi-media and information & communication technology is rapidly processed. They need large data storage capacity. So that, many studies and researches in data storage have been carried out. According to them, the data storage capacity has been increased. But the limitation of storage capacity is happened for several problems. One of them is spot & pit size in optical and magnetic data storage and another is the resolution of actuators. The problems in spot & pit size are covered by new data storage methods-- for examples, AFM(Atomic Force Microscopy), MO(Magneto-optical) system, and NFR(Near-Field decoding) system etc. But the resolution limit of an actuator was not developed and doesn\`t follow up the development of spot & pit size. Because of them, we should improve a resolution of an actuator. Especially, in this paper an actuator if studied and designed for NFR (in using SIL(Solid Immersion Lens) system. It is a dual stage actuator, which consists of a Fine actuator and a Coarse actuator. and should desire 100nm accuracy. Its actuating force generation method is VCM(Voice Coil Motor). The Fine actuator is composed of 4-leaf springs and a bobbin wrapped by coil. The Coarse actuator has Coils and 3-Roller bearings. Also, The Characteristics of designed actuator for NFR system is estimated by Sine-Swept mode and LDV(Laser Doppler Vibro-meter).

머위 유엽 조기생산을 위한 휴면특성 조사 (Investigation of the Dormant Characteristics for Early Production of Young Leaf in Butterbur(Petasites japonicas MAX.))

  • 머위 유엽의 조기생산 가능성을 구명코자 근주의 정식시기, ABA 함량과 휴면과의 관계에 대해서 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 자연환경 조건하에서 근주의 휴면은 10월 상순경부터 시작되어 11월 중순경에 가장 깊었으며, 그 후 서서히 타파되기 시작하여 12월 하순경 이후에는 안전히 각성됨을 알 수 있었고, 이 기간의 5$^{\circ}C$ 이하 저온누적시간은 900시간 정도이다. 이는 근주의 휴면이 타파되기 위해서는 반드시 저온이 요구됨을 의미한다. 근주의 생육시기별 ABA 함량은 머위의 생육성기인 4월부터 9월까지는 ABA가 전혀 존재하지 않았는데 이는 휴면기간 동안 다른 저장양분과 함께 근주내에 존재하던 ABA가 맹아와 함께 지상부로 이동되었기 때문이며, 반대로 10월부터 ABA가 근주내에 존재하기 시작한 것은 외기기온의 하강과 더불어 지상부가 고사되면서 지상부에 존재하던 ABA가 근주로 이동되었기 때문인 것으로 사료된다. 따라서, 식물체내에서 생육을 억제하고 휴면을 유도하는 물질로 알려진 ABA는 머위 근주의 휴면과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 판단되었다.
