가정 조리 전통 침채류의 지역별 섭취 실태 및 향토성 평가 : 국민건강영양조사 제3기 자료를 이용하여 (Regional Characteristics in Consumption of Home-cooked Kimchi and Jangajji Varieties: Using KNHANES III Data)

  • The principal objective of this study was to investigate regional characteristics in the consumption of home-cooked varieties of kimchi and jangajji. Data obtained from the third Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey III(KNHANES Ⅲ), which was conducted in 2005, were utilized in this study. A total of 7,810 data were included in our statistical analyses, which were conducted using SPSS 14.0. The total number of home-cooked kimchi and jangajji were 22 and 11, respectively, and Korean cabbage kimchi, young radish kimchi, and kkakdugi were the top 3 varieties of kimchi. Leaf jangajji, green pepper jangajji, and garlic jangajji were most frequently consumed. Additionally, the results of this study revealed significant correlations between neighboring areas in the ranking of consumption of kimchi varieties, whereas the jangajji varieties did not evidence results as distinct as were noted with kimchi. Different kimchi and jangajji variety consumption patterns were noted between the Middle West and South areas, coastal and inland areas, and cities and provinces. Spicy kimchi varieties, in particular, were enjoyed more frequently by households in the South than those in the Middle West. Further analysis using PROXSCAL multidimensional scaling demonstrated the proximity between areas in terms of kimchi and jangajji consumption patterns. In conclusion, more effort should be extended to encourage the consumption of home-cooked regional foods.

원적외선 난방시스템이 방울토마토 생육에 미치는 영향 (Growth Characteristics of Cherry Tomato in Greenhouse using Far Infrared Heating Systems)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the growth characteristics of cherry tomatoes in greenhouse using far infrared heating system. The far infrared greenhouse heating systems were installed in two ways on the greenhouse side wall and at the greenhouse ceiling. The heating characteristics of far infrared heating system were analyzed by investigating the heating load, internal temperature, energy consumption, growth characteristics and quality evaluation. The results were compared with heated air heating system using kerosene. The results showed that tomatoes grown in the greenhouse with the far infrared heating system had relatively better plant height, leaf length, leaf width, stem diameter than ones from the greenhouse with hot air heating system and both heating methods had no significant difference on Cherry tomato sugar contents. At the same time, the far infrared heating system reduced heating cost from 34.5 to 41.4% on comparing with hot air heating system.

Development of powder with increased rutin content from mulberry leaves for the application of food materials

  • We studied on improvement method of rutin content using mulberry leaf powder. Mulberry leaves were collected and then hot-air dried and powdered for experiment. As a result, we have developed a pre-treatment method that extracts mulberry leaf powder with water or fermented alcohol with reflux extractor and then increases the rutin content by improving the process. Citric acid (0.1 ~ 1%) and 1000 ml fermented alcohol (50 ~ 95%) or water (10 ~ 50 times) was extracted with 100 g of mulberry leaf powder using a reflux extraction device ($80{\sim}90^{\circ}C$, 1 hour, twice). The extracts were collected, filtered and concentrated. For the recrystallization, the concentrate was dissolved by adding distilled water and allowed to stand at a low temperature. Then, the supernatant was discarded by centrifugation, and only the residue was lyophilized to prepare a final powder. As a result, regardless of the concentration of citric acid added, the content of rutin was higher in 90% fermented alcohol extract. Whereas, in the case of extracting with water, citric acid 0.5% was added to water 25 times as much as the weight of mulberry leaf powder, and 2274.4 (mg / 100g) of rutin content was highest in the case of refluxing twice at $80^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. The powder with increased rutin content is expected to be applicable to various foods as a food additive. In addition, it can contribute to the improvement of the farm income by promoting consumption of mulberry leaf while satisfying the consumers' desire for functional food intake.

  • 고추장은 우리나라 전통발효식품으로 시대의 변화에 따라 관능적 특성 이외에 건강지향적 기능성 또한 중요시 여기고 있다. 연잎은 생리활성 물질을 다량 함유하고 있어 항산화기능 뿐만 아니라 지질을 저하시키고, 포도당을 자극하는 인슐린을 분비하고 촉진하는 효과가 있다. 본 연구에서는 전통고추장에 연잎가루 1%, 3%, 5%를 첨가하여 연잎고추장을 제조하였다. 실험 결과 pH는 연잎 1% 첨가 고추장이 가장 높게 나타났고, 수분함량은 연잎 첨가량이 증가할수록 낮게 나타났으며, 점도는 연잎 5% 첨가 고추장이 15.61 dPa·s로 가장 낮게, 색도는 대조군이 가장 높게 나타났다. 염도는 연잎 3% 첨가 고추장이 가장 낮았으며, 당도는 연잎 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 항산화능 측정 결과, 총 페놀과 총 플라보노이드 함량은 연잎 5% 첨가 고추장이 가장 높게 나타났으며, DPPH radical 소거능은 연잎 첨가량이 증가할수록 높았고, 환원력과 α-glucosidase 저해활성도는 연잎 3% 첨가 고추장이 가장 높았다. 고추장 제조시 연잎을 첨가하면 다른 고추장보다 높은 항산화능, 항당뇨 기능을 기대할 수 있다.

광환경이 한국들잔디(Zoysia japonica)의 물질생산과 생장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Light Environment on Dry Matter Production and Growth of Zoysia japonica)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the interaction between productivity and light condition and to analyze the material productivity and productive charactaristics under different hours of light in Zoysia japonica. 1. Rate increasement of leaf number and total leaf length was remarkably high at the early growth stage in the control and 9 hour light treatment. The rate gradually decreased as growth proceeded. But 3 hour treatment was very low in the rate from its early growth stage through the whole test period. 2. The increasing rate of leaf area ratio (LAR) in all the experimental plots was remarkably high at the early growth stage after transplanting the grass. The shorter photoperiod resulted remarkable lower increasement of LAR. 3. The rhizome growth rate of the 9 hour photoperiod was high contrast to the 3 hour photoperiod treatment. The increasing rate of node number was also showed similar trend. 4. Chlorophyll content was very high at the 36 days after transplanting and then decreased gradually. Chlorophyll content on 3 hours photoperiod plot severely decreased. The ratio of chlorophyll a to b was decreased significantly at short day treatment. 5. The content of soluble sugar was increased at shorter photoperiod. The highest ratio of sugar content was on August, 28 by HPLC method. Such a result was attributed to accumulation of sugar in spite of low synthesis of ploysacchrides, translocation by low consumption. 6. The increasing rate of standings in all light treatment was high at the early growth stage after transplanting. Short photoperiod treatment by 3hour showed especially low prganic productivity on Zoysia japonica.

큰이십팔점박이무당벌레(Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky))의 생태적 특성 및 강릉지역 발생소장 (Ecological Characteristics of 28-spotted Larger Lady Beetle, Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) and Its Seasonal Fluctuation in Gangneung, Korea)

  • 큰이십팔점박이무당벌레(Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky))의 강릉지역 발생소장과 발육단계별 감자잎 섭식량 및 온도별(10, 15, 20, 25, $30^{\circ}C$) 발육소요기간을 조사하였다. 큰이십팔점박이무당벌레는 연 3회, 즉 5월 하순, 6월 하순 및 8월 하순에 발생하였으며, 특히 5월 하순부터 7월 중순까지 높은 밀도로 발생하여 감자 식물체를 집중적으로 가해하였다. 발육단계별 감자잎 섭식량은 유충의 영기가 진전될수록 많았으며, 4령 유충기에 가장 많은 섭식량을 보였다. 큰이십팔점박이무당벌레 부화율과 우화율은 각각 $10^{\circ}C$$30^{\circ}C$에서는 매우 낮았고 $20{\sim}23^{\circ}C$에서 가장 높았다. 알에서 성충으로 우화되기까지 발육단계별 생육기간은 온도가 증가함에 따라 감소하였는데, $10^{\circ}C$에서 90일 정도로 매우 느렸으며 $20^{\circ}C$에서는 40여일, $25^{\circ}C$에서는 25일이 소요되었다. 또한 발육영점온도와 유효적산온도는 알에 대해서 $7.3^{\circ}C$와 83.3 DD, 유충에 대해서 $5.2^{\circ}C$와 294.1 DD, 번데기에 대해서 $6.2^{\circ}C$와 97.1 DD이었다.

Effect of Beverage Containing Fermented Akebia quinata Extracts on Alcoholic Hangover

  • The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of beverages containing fermented Akebia quinata extracts on alcoholic hangover. For this study, 25 healthy young men were recruited. All participants consumed 100 mL of water (placebo), commercial hangover beverage A or B, fermented A. quinata leaf (AQL) or fruit (AQF) extract before alcohol consumption. After 1 h, all participants consumed a bottle of Soju, Korean distilled liquor (360 mL), containing 20% alcohol. Blood was collected at 0 h, 1 h, 3 h, and 5 h after alcohol consumption. The plasma alanine transaminase (ALT) activity was highest in the placebo group. Compared with the control group, the AQL and AQF groups showed decreased ALT activity at 5 h after alcohol consumption. Plasma ethanol concentration was increased after alcohol intake and peaked at 3 h after alcohol consumption. Compared with the control group, the A group showed a higher plasma ethanol concentration at 1 h (P<0.05). At 3 h after alcohol consumption, the AQF group showed the lowest mean plasma ethanol concentration compared to the other groups; however, there were no statistical differences. After 5 h of alcohol consumption, the AQL and AQF groups showed lower plasma ethanol concentrations compared with the B group. The sensory evaluation score for the fermented A. quinata fruit extract was lower than for the commercial hangover beverages. In conclusion, the present intervention study results suggest that fermented A. quinata extracts alleviate alcoholic hangover and reduce plasma ethanol concentrations.

잎브로콜리에서 배추좀나방 요방제 수준 설정 (Economic Threshold for the Diamondback Moth (Plutella xylostella L., Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) on Leaf Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis italiana))

  • 잎브로콜리에 심각한 피해를 주는 배추좀나방의 적절한 방제시기 설정을 위한 기초자료로 이용하기 위하여 유충접종밀도와 잎브로콜리 피해량의 관계를 분석하여 경제적피해허용수준과 요방제 수준을 설정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 배추좀나방 3~4령 유충을 주당 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0마리를 5월 24일에 접종하고, 6월 1일, 6월 9일, 6월 18일에 발생밀도와 엽수량을 조사한 결과, 초기 접종밀도가 증가할수록 배추좀나방의 발생 밀도는 증가하였고 시간이 경과할수록 엽수량은 감소하였다. 이를 토대로 배추좀나방의 접종밀도와 수량감소율을 회귀식을 이용하여 분석한 결과 y=1636-394x ($R^2=0.79^{***}$)로 추정되었다. 잎브로콜리에서 5% 피해율을 경제적 피해한도로 볼 때 배추좀나방의 경제적피해허용수준은 10주당 2~3마리이고, 요방제 수준은 10주당 1-2마리 수준으로 추정된다.

  • This paper presents an efficient huffman decoding method based on the multiple branch technique. In the proposed search method, the internal node which does not contain a leaf node are removed for decrease the searching time and the memory consumption. The proposed search method gives 44% of improved in searching time and 34% of decreased in memory requirement compared to the binary search method.

  • In this paper, we propose a memory compiler to genrate embedded RAMs and ROMs for ASIC chips. We design the leaf cells to be compsoed of memory blocks. The compiler is built using tile-based method to simplify routing. The compiler can genrate any memory layouts to satisfy 64 to 4096 words and 4 to 256 bits per word. The technology we used here is 0.8.mu.m single poly double metal CMOS process. The address access time and power consumption are verifie dthrough the HSPICE simulation.
