We investigate the onsiderations of design issues for a bradband ATM network. Three kimds of network design requirement are considered ; user grade-of-service(GOS) requirements. Network manager requirements, and system designer requirements. In this work, e are focusing on the balancing problems among performance measures. We suggest that design parameters for a bradband ATM echange would be tuned within the acceptable sets by a layering concept on the peformance objectives.

The aim of this study is to find out comfortable combinations of layered system for outdoor activities through water vapor permeability. Layering fabrics is an effective way of controlling water transport properties in fabric systems for outdoor activities and analysis of these systems may be useful for designing comfortable clothing. Seven fabrics were chosen for the experiments: two fabrics for base layer, two for the middle layer and three for the shell layer. A total of 12 different layered systems, which are all possible combinations were established using selected fabrics. The water vapor permeability was measured using JIS L1099 under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions. It was found that layered system was working together as a whole having influence on each layer, though every layer offers varying degree of water vapor permeability. Furthermore, it was also found that an optimal combination of the three layered system does exist although the combination may differ according to the ways. The shell layer is the greatest effect of water vapor permeability under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions within layered system.

Simulating color appearance of makeup effect is an important issue in computer graphics as well as cosmetic industry. Most of previous works on makeup simulation are simple color blending to mimic the cosmetic effects. Some of previous works employed Kubelka-Munk model to accurately simulate the layering effect of cosmetics. However, the simulation limited on single point, and the rest of area are still computed by simple color blending utilizing the color of the single point simulation. This paper presents an image-based method to compute the color appearance effect of makeup application using per-pixel Kubelka-Munk model. Unlike the previous methods, it is possible to compute per-pixel application thickness as well as optical property of cosmetics. The computed thickness pattern can be used in makeup simulation for a more realistic makeup simulation.

The purpose of this comparative study what is the way to express difference fashion design between Japanese fashion designers and Western fashion designers in the 1990s. The design data were 422 pictures of contemporary fashion designs which represented the Japanism style design from fashion collections and analyzed by literature study and classification categories. The results were as follows : 1) Early general Japanism expression was directly borrowed from traditional fashion design elements and has changed indirectly with fashion trend. 2) Japanese fashion designers have used color, fabric, and pattern than shape to express Japanese traditional images. 3) Western fashion designers have directly borrowed aesthetic elements of Kimono design, that is, layering. bending, neck-line, sleeve, and traditional Japanese men's wear to express Japanism.

Most tunnel simulations have been focused on the thermal field and the critical velocity for suppression of hot back-layering flow in case of fire and on the characteristics of a tunnel fire in terms of the flame propagation and the toxic gas generation. In this paper, a comparative study of the flow characteristics of polluted air with no heat source in a tunnel model opened and closed at both end sides is implemented into a recognized CFD simulation code. The model is used to investigate the flow characteristics depending on the three different Reynolds numbers of 640, 1270 and 2120, which have been chosen by the flow velocities of 0.3, 0.6 and 1.0 m/s through the inlet. The results of this study have shown that the CFD predictive and experimental approaches are available in qualitatively studying the correlation of flow behaviors for a better tunnel design.

This paper examines the security vulnerability, demanded service, layering consideration for local area networks(LANs), and proposes a new key distribution system suitable to local area networks. the new key distribution system Is applicable to time quantum in encrytion key and then the time used arid the quantity of encryption message using the encryption key are limited. A system suggested in this paper can achive some higher concurrency of key and authentication of the opposite party. Even through a encryption key expose by reason of wiretapping of a frame unit, It has achived some more security and safety, because the contens of all traffic messages are not known.

Having taken actions for 2 years, Net Neutrality User Forum has realized Net Neutrality as a international issue of future Internet. Although the Internet design principle (layering, module, IP protocol) has enabled the end users to communicate each other without any additional permission or interference, in the reality, the end users have been tracked by both companies and governments, and the communications could be blocked, or restricted by surveillance devices, such as DPI, which could change the whole Internet design principle. Given that the Internet is a large community of the equal end-users based on end-to-end principle, it's essentially the issues of the whole Internet users, rather than of one nation, and we should focus on developing the transparent and participatory ways in Internet governance. The current Internet governance discussion have taken placed in ICANN, IGF, etc., in bottom-up processes of multistakeholderism to reflect the views of end-users. However there have been the controversial issues in Internet Governance, such as the position of government as a stakeholder, global north-south problem, transparency, so we have faced the debate on the new or evolving frame of Internet governance.

Radiography, ultrasonography with hydrogram, and contrast studies using radiopaque markers were applied to evaluate alimentary lymphoma in two cats. The hydrogram facilitated the differentiation of pseudo-thickening from true wall thickening, and enabled an evaluation of wall layering and lymph nodes. In case 1, mechanical obstruction of the duodenum was confirmed with barium-impregnated polyethylene spheres (BIPS), a radiopaque marker; however, results obtained in case 2 were not as definitive. We expect that hydrograms and BIPS can be used as valuable alternative methods to evaluate the gastrointestinal (GI) tract although further studies in cases involving GI tumors are needed.

Background: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the depressive mood experience of adults in their 20s. Methods: This study is a descriptive survey that conducted a secondary analysis using data from the 2017 Community Health Survey, which is conducted annually in Korea. The study targets 21,324 adults in their 20s. Data analysis was conducted after creating a composite sample plan file that reflected layering variables, colony variables, and weights. Results: Factors affecting the depressive mood experience were suicide thought experience, subjective stress level, gender, monthly household income, smoking status, subjective health level, breakfast status, participation in social activities, and whether the Internet, games, and smartphone interfered with daily life (p<0.05). Conclusion: It is necessary to establish and realize a system that enables early detection and support of depression and suicide high-risk groups at the individual, home, community, and national levels.

This paper conducts a study on the frequency-dependent filtering and blocking effects of a variety of periodic structures, dubbed frequency selective surface(FSS). The periodic structures of interest are 1D and 2D repeated patterns of metal patches or slots sitting on the interface between the two different regions in the layered media which will show the capacitive or inductive behaviors and incorporated with the electromagnetic bandgap(EBG) geometry as another stratified media. Besides the normal substances so called double positive(DPS)-type in the layered media, metamaterials of double negative(DNG) are considered as layering components on the purpose of investigating the unusual electromagnetic phenomena. Frequency responses of transmission(absorption in terms of scattering) and reflection will be calculated by a numerical analysis which can be validated by the comparison with the open literature and demonstrated for the periodic structures embedding metamaterials or not. Most importantly, numerous examples of FSS will present the useful guidelines to have absorption or reflection properties in the frequency domain.
