  • This paper presents a technique for an Android mobile device to best utilize its surrounding external display device such as high-definition TV, in order to overcome the size and resolution limitation of the small LCD in the mobile device. Unlike current techniques that simply expand the LCD screen image to an external large display, our technique dynamically changes the resolution adapting to capability of the external display. And, the original screen become a remote controller.

  • A technique which uses the energy for a long time have been recognized as a important problem in embedded system with restricted battery. Recently the energy consumption is increased by using a large size of TFT-LCD and touch screen in embedded system. In this paper, we studied the frame buffer monitoring which can be reduced an energy consumption in GUI. The frame buffer monitoring technique is the energy degrade plan which adjusts Refresh-rate and Backlight. The technique must guarantee the quality of screen.

  • Rapid technological advancements and widespread adoption of smart phones in recent years provide students with new opportunities for getting knowledge and making researches in innovation century. As the penetration of smart phone devices in education increases, there is a large growth in the use of these devices especially among the youth. In spite of increasing importance of smart devices in education, the significant features of these technology devices for general learning have not been experientially addressed. In this study we are going to investigate the comparison of smart phone devices and find the necessary conditions for using mobile devices as an educational tool by a conjoint method. There will be five attributes: screen size, batter type, mobile OS, memory capacity and price. By surveying we got the results which showed us the respondents' desire of using specific smart phone; thus, we defined that screen size attribute is the most important device characteristic.

  • This paper examines the correlations between user characteristics and their perferences for two selected features of Web-based OPAC systems. User characteristics identified in this study were age, gender, educational status, computer skills and OPAC experience. Usability features included interaction styles, character and image on screen, browsing and navigating style, screen layout, and ease of learning, whereas availability features attended to availability of information, quality of information and up-to-date information. Individual variables and features are described, and the correlation between the variables and the features are explored using Pearson's correlation coefficient(r). Although based on a small-scale sample survey, a considerably large number of statistically significant correlations were found between the users' characteristics and the selected evaluation features of interactive Web-based OPACs. From these observations, it seems to be suitable to recommend that system designers should make a more considered appraisal of the users' demographic characteristics in the design of the new generation of OPAC such as in user-tailored interactive Web-based OPAC systems.

  • This paper proposes an HDR display system using multi-projectors for presentation of HDR contents to multi-users. An HDR image is resolved by luminance and the resolved images are assigned to several projectors. The proposed system projects the HDR contents onto a large screen, and the system can display the HDR contents to multi-users. The proposed system realized to output the broad luminance by emitting the light of multi-projectors onto the same screen. In addition, tonal steps of the proposed system increase so that other projectors cover the tonal steps in the region where the dynamic range is expanded. In this paper, we indicate an effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • We propose the method which is possible to fabricate the electrodes with the fine pattern and low resistance by photolithography and electroplating. The widths of pattern fabricated were 30, 50, 70 and 100um and the thickness could be up to $10{\mu}m$. The resistivity of the copper electrode electroplated was below $2.0{\mu}{\Omega}$ cm which is about half of photosensitive silver electrode. Dielectric layer was coated on the electrodes by screen printing and the pores harmful to the discharge were not formed after heat treatment. In the viewpoint of resistance and patterning, this method has much higher potential for large area display than other methods like screen printing, photosensitive conductive paste method and sputtering.

  • $RuO_2$-based high frequency thick-film resistor paste was printed at the speed of 10, 100, 300 mm/sec on the AlN substrate, and then sintered at between 750 and $900^{\circ}C$. The sintered thick films were characterized in terms of printing and sintering conditions. With increasing printing speed, the thickness and roughness of sintered film increased. The resistance of the thick film resistor was reduced by increasing the printing speed from 10 to 100 mm/sec, but did not significantly change at 300 mm/sec speed. With increasing sintering temperature, the surface roughness and thickness of sintered resistor film decreased. The reduction rate was large in case of fast printed resistor. The resistance of the resistor increased up to $800^{\circ}C$ with sintering temperature, but again decreased at the higher sintering temperature.

  • Now, many anticancer drugs are applying in the clinical side, but there is no conclusive effect of such a chemotherapy. Development ofnovel clinical useful anticancer drugs would be dependenton the screen-ing system and its test sample sources. So, it is necessary to outlinesome background on the tumor systems which have been used for screen-ing. This paper describes mainely on National Cancer Institute (NCI)program for anticancer screening systems, because the large number ofcompounds have been screened at NCI prograB and their relationship ofassesment between experimental animals and clinical Patients has beendiscussing and the uniform screefing protocols for various tumorsystens. At the end of this paper, some literatures of antitunor substances from various higher Plants at our laboratory are showed.

  • The experimental study for performance improvement of aluminum/freon22 grooved heat pipe was carried out. Arterial wick was used for performance improvement of heat pipe. The experimental result was compared with screen covered grooved wick heat pipe. And also, performance test of grooved wick thermosyphon inserted straight wire in the center of grooved pipe was carried out. This result was compared with the performance test result of grooved wick thermosyphon. The operation limit of artery inserted grooved heat pipe was slightly extended, but thermal resistance of this heat pipe was twice as large as that of screen covered grooved heat pipe. In case of thermosyphon, the operation limit of grooved thermosyphon inserted straight wire in the center of grooved pipe was slightly extended, but thermal resistance was increased, comparing with that of the grooved thermosyphon.

  • Using 3D based BIM(Building Information Modeling) enables a variety of construction simulations. The is no case to simulate BIM demonstration experiment on deeply immersed virtual reality environment in korea. This paper develops a multi screen based simulation system to enable 3D based immersed environment to diverse decision making and virtual construction simulation. In a developed simulation laboratory, we can carry out BIM drawing review, disaster evacuation simulation, constructability review on wild land and design urban planning using haptic device on 3-side space with 4K resolution . Also, It can review large amount of drawings without data conversion because of compatibility with BIM software.
