Single-strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) analysis of MD and JWB phytopalsma isolates which amplified PCR products using the R16F2n/R2 phytoplamsa universal primer pair were compared for variations of their nucleotide sequence. The MD and JWB phytoplasmas were clearly distinct each of the band patterns from about 1.2 kb PCR products. To clearly distinct of close SSCP band patterns, the MD and JWB phytoplasma PCR products were mixed and performed to detect their polymorphism. The SSCP band patterns show all of bands of MD and JWB on single lane and easily distinct their each band patterns. The PCR-SSCP analysis was possible to detect of 1.2 kb nucleotide sequence and near close band patterns were easily distinct by mixing two samples.

This paper presents a lateral collision risk index between an ego vehicle and a rear-side vehicle. The lateral collision risk is designed to represent a lateral collision risk and provide the appropriate threshold value of activation of the lateral collision management system such as the Blind Spot Detection(BSD). The lateral collision risk index is designed using the Time to Line Crossing(TLC) and the longitudinal collision index at the predicted TLC. TLC and the longitudinal collision index are calculated with the signals from the exterior sensor such as the radar equipped on the rear-side of a vehicle and a vision sensor which detects the distance and time to the lane departure. For the robust situation assessment, the perception of driving environment determining whether the road is straighten or curved should be determined. The relative motion estimation method has been proposed with the road information via the integrated estimator using the environment sensors and vehicle sensor. A lateral collision risk index was composed with the estimated relative motion considering the relative yaw angle. The performance of the proposed lateral collision risk index is investigated via computer simulations conducted using the vehicle dynamics software CARSIM and Matlab/Simulink.
A vanishing point is a point on an image to which parallel lines projected from a real space gather. A vanishing point in a road space provides important spatial information. It is possible to improve the position of an extracted lane or generate a depth map image using a vanishing point in the road space. In this paper, we propose a method of detecting vanishing points on images taken from a vehicle's point of view using Deep Neural Network (DNN) and Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HoG). The proposed algorithm is divided into a HoG feature extraction step, in which the edge direction is extracted by dividing an image into blocks, a DNN learning step, and a test step. In the learning stage, learning is performed using 2,300 road images taken from a vehicle's point of views. In the test phase, the efficiency of the proposed algorithm using the Normalized Euclidean Distance (NormDist) method is measured.

Vehicle localization is one of the core technologies for autonomous driving. Image-based localization provides location information efficiently, and various related studies have been conducted. However, the image-based localization methods using feature points or lane information has a limitation that positioning accuracy may be greatly affected by road and driving environments. In this study, we propose a line segment matching framework for accurate vehicle localization. The proposed framework consists of four steps: line segment extraction, merging, overlap area detection, and MSLD-based segment matching. The proposed framework stably performed line segment matching at a sufficient level for vehicle positioning regardless of vehicle speed, driving method, and surrounding environment.
This paper presents LiDAR static obstacle map based vehicle position correction algorithm for urban autonomous driving. Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS is commonly used in highway automated vehicle systems. For urban automated vehicle systems, RTK GPS have some trouble in shaded area. Therefore, this paper represents a method to estimate the position of the host vehicle using AVM camera, front camera, LiDAR and low-cost GPS based on Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). Static obstacle map (STOM) is constructed only with static object based on Bayesian rule. To run the algorithm, HD map and Static obstacle reference map (STORM) must be prepared in advance. STORM is constructed by accumulating and voxelizing the static obstacle map (STOM). The algorithm consists of three main process. The first process is to acquire sensor data from low-cost GPS, AVM camera, front camera, and LiDAR. Second, low-cost GPS data is used to define initial point. Third, AVM camera, front camera, LiDAR point cloud matching to HD map and STORM is conducted using Normal Distribution Transformation (NDT) method. Third, position of the host vehicle position is corrected based on the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF).The proposed algorithm is implemented in the Linux Robot Operating System (ROS) environment and showed better performance than only lane-detection algorithm. It is expected to be more robust and accurate than raw lidar point cloud matching algorithm in autonomous driving.

An HD map is essential in the automated driving of level 4 and above to generate the vehicle's global path since it contains road information and each road's lane information. Therefore, all the road elements in the HD map must be correctly defined to construct the correct road network necessary to generate the global path. But unfortunately, it is not difficult to find various errors even in the most recent HD maps. Hence, a preprocessing algorithm has been developed to detect and correct errors in the HD map. This error detection and correction result in constructing the correct road network for use in global path planning. Furthermore, the algorithm was tested on real roads' HD maps, demonstrating its validity.

This paper describes about non-burial AVI (Automatic Vehicle Identification) system using general vehicle as probe car for obtaining more accurate traffic information while conserving road pavement surface. Existing spot traffic detectors have their own limits of not obtaining right information owing to its mathematical method. Burial AVI systems have some defects, causing traffic jam, needing much maintenance cost because of frequent cutting of loop and piezo-electric sensors. Especially, they have hard time to make right detection, when it comes to jamming time. Therefore, in this paper, we propose non-burial AVI system with laser trigger unit. Proposed non-burial AVI system is developed to obtain regional traffic information from normal Passing vehicle by automatic license number recognition technology. We have adapted it to national highway section between Suwon city and Pyong$\~$Taek city(9.5km) and get affirmative results. Vehicle detection rate of laser trigger unit is more than 95$\%$, vehicle recognition rate is 87.8$\%$ and vehicle matching rate is about 14.3$\%$. So we regard these as satisfying results to use the system for traffic information service. We evaluate proposed AVI system by regulation of some institutions which are using similar AVI system and the proposed system satisfies all conditions. For future study, we have plan of detailed research about proper lane number from all of the target lanes, optimal section length, information service period, and data fusion method for existing spot detector.

The recognition system of autonomous driving and robot navigation performs vision work such as object recognition, tracking, and lane detection after multi-sensor fusion to improve performance. Currently, research on a deep learning model based on the fusion of a camera and a lidar sensor is being actively conducted. However, deep learning models are vulnerable to adversarial attacks through modulation of input data. Attacks on the existing multi-sensor-based autonomous driving recognition system are focused on inducing obstacle detection by lowering the confidence score of the object recognition model. However, there is a limitation that an attack is possible only in the target model. In the case of attacks on the sensor fusion stage, errors in vision work after fusion can be cascaded, and this risk needs to be considered. In addition, an attack on LIDAR's point cloud data, which is difficult to judge visually, makes it difficult to determine whether it is an attack. In this study, image scaling-based camera-lidar We propose an attack method that reduces the accuracy of LCCNet, a fusion model (camera-LiDAR calibration model). The proposed method is to perform a scaling attack on the point of the input lidar. As a result of conducting an attack performance experiment by size with a scaling algorithm, an average of more than 77% of fusion errors were caused.

In this study, a preliminary study was undertaken for development of a tunnel incident automatic detection system based on a machine learning algorithm which is to detect a number of incidents taking place in tunnel in real time and also to be able to identify the type of incident. Two road sites where CCTVs are operating have been selected and a part of CCTV images are treated to produce sets of training data. The data sets are composed of position and time information of moving objects on CCTV screen which are extracted by initially detecting and tracking of incoming objects into CCTV screen by using a conventional image processing technique available in this study. And the data sets are matched with 6 categories of events such as lane change, stoping, etc which are also involved in the training data sets. The training data are learnt by a resilience neural network where two hidden layers are applied and 9 architectural models are set up for parametric studies, from which the architectural model, 300(first hidden layer)-150(second hidden layer) is found to be optimum in highest accuracy with respect to training data as well as testing data not used for training. From this study, it was shown that the highly variable and complex traffic and incident features could be well identified without any definition of feature regulation by using a concept of machine learning. In addition, detection capability and accuracy of the machine learning based system will be automatically enhanced as much as big data of CCTV images in tunnel becomes rich.
