지주작물을 이용한 백하수오 생력재배 (Labor-saving Cultivation of Cynanchum wilfordii using Support Crops)

  • 백하수오 재배시 지주설치 비용 절감 및 생력 재배기술 확립 목적으로 자소 등 6작물을 지주작물로 공시하여 시험을 수행한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 지주작물의 주당 분지수는 율무 7개, 자소 19개로 백하수오 덩굴유인에 유리한 조건으로 작용하여 자소 97%, 율무 100%의 덩굴유인율을 보였다. 2. 백하수오의 지상부 생육은 자소, 수수재배에서 네트지주재배보다 만장이 길었고, 주당 분지수는 네트지주재배 6개에 비하여 자소, 율무, 수수 재배에서 1~2개 많았다. m$^2$당 엽중은 네트지주 재배시 1,001g으로 가장 많았고, 지주작물재배에서는 자소, 율무, 수수에서 614~636g이었다. 3. 백하수오의 지하부 생육은 땅콩, 자소재배에서 근장이 길었고, 지근수는 네트지주재배 8개에 비하여 땅콩, 자소재배 4개, 율무재배에서 6개였다. 4. 10a당 백하수오의 생근수량은 네트지주재배에서 919kg으로 가장 높았고, 지주작물재배간에는 자소 717kg, 율무 656kg, 수수 652kg으로 네트지주재배에 비하여 22~29% 감수되었다. 5. 백하수오 수량은 감수하나 지주설치 비용 절감 및 지주작물의 수확으로, 자소, 율무, 수수를 이용한 백하수오 생력재배가 가능하였다.

Evaluation of Auditors' Professional Skills in Local Auditing Firms in Hanoi

  • In recent years, the quality of auditing human resources in domestic auditing firms in Hanoi has certain limitations in which professional skills of auditors have not been given adequate attention. The number of customers at local auditing firms is forecast to increase gradually. Therefore, the quantity and quality of auditors need to be improved to meet requirements of the workload. Data for this research were collected through surveying 120 customers of domestic auditing firms in Hanoi on the 5-point Likert scale. Based on the collected data, we employ both qualitative and quantitative methodology along with some tools such as descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, T-test and ANOVA to analysis, evaluate and measure the professional skills of auditors in local auditing firms in Hanoi. The results show that the professional skills of auditors in auditing firms include 17 attributes. The majority of respondents show appreciation for the professionalism and professional competence of auditors, while, they think that critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills are still limited and need to be improved. These findings, not only help auditors to improve themselves, but also provide solutions for managers of domestic auditing firms in Hanoi to enhance quality of audited human resources.

여성의 자영업 결정요인과 경력단절 가능성 (The Choice of Self-Employment and Career Interruption Among Females)

  • 취업 중 자영업이 차지하는 비중이 상당함에도 불구하고, 자영업 선택의 결정요인에 대한 연구는 일천하다. 특히 여성에게 있어 결혼과 자녀 보육이 취업에 장애요인으로 작용하는 현실을 고려할 때 상대적으로 근로시간의 선택이 자유로운 자영업은 여성의 가사노동과 경력 유지를 병행하는 하나의 대안이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 여성의 취업 미취업의 선택과 피고용 자영업의 선택을 동시에 고려하는 이변량 프로빗 모형(bivariate probit model)을 "한국노동패널" 1차년도(1998) 자료에 적용하는 한편 취업한 여성을 3차년도(2000)까지 추적하여 이 기간 중 발생한 노동공급의 변화-노동시장에서 퇴장, 근로시간 증가, 근로시간 감축-의 결정요인을 다항로짓 모형(multi-nomial logit model)을 이용하여 분석한다. 취업의 선택에서 어린 자녀의 존재는 유의한 부(-)의 효과를 갖은 반면 자녀 보육 보조자의 존재는 유의한정(+)의 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타나며, 자영업의 선택에서 자녀의 존재는 정(+)의 효과를 가지나 통계적으로 유의하지는 않게 나타난다. 결혼과 어린 자녀의 수의 증가는 노동시장에서의 퇴장에 유의한 부정적 효과를 미친 반면 근로시간의 감축에는 유의한 효과를 미치지 않는 것으로 나타난다. 임금근로자와 비교할 때, 피용자가 없는 자영자와 무급가족종사자는 근로시간 증가보다는 노동시장 퇴장에서 퇴장하는 확률이 낮고 피용자가 없는 자영자는 근로시간을 감축하는 확률이 낮은 것으로 나타난다. 근로시간의 유연성으로 가사노동과 시장노동의 병립이 용이한 자영업을 잠재 여성인력의 활용과 경력단절을 막는 방안으로 고려하는 정책적 함의를 갖는다.

  • The Korean society faces a new issue of accepting foreign workers. Foreign labors in construction industry reached about 400,000 recently. Thus they have become one of the essential resources to fill up insufficient labor supplies in construction industry. And it is important how to manage foreign labors efficiently. However there are few studies focused on this subject. Purpose of this study is to research productivity of foreign labors in the domestic construction site. So investigate the value of foreign labors. Also this study forecast elements effect on foreign labors productivity in the construction industry. And research what element is more important to improve productivity and what element is more difficult to manage. In the result, this study is expected to prospect effective method of foreign labor's management in the domestic construction industry, so contribute to utilize foreign labors more efficiently.

Research on the Quality of Employment Centered on Information Communication Technology Industry

  • This study has a purpose to analyze quantitatively whether ICT industry provides the qualitative indicator of employment to attract excellent human resources. We investigate the relationships of labor market conditions among ICT manufacturing, non-ICT manufacturing, ICT services, non-ICT services. Therefore, the quantitative and qualitative indicators of employment (wages, working hours, admission and turnover, involuntary retirement, and the duration years of job) are analyzed for the ICT industry and IT workers. In order to quantitatively analyze qualitative indicators such as employment status and longevity, we used employment statistics. In order to compensate for the limitations of employment insurance data, the comparison analysis with the survey data of economically active population of the National Statistical Office was conducted. As a result of this research, ICT service industry has to improve the working conditions of employees and establish an ecosystem for a lifelong career base to grow as a specialist, need to pursue an investigation for ICT worker career shift, and promote standard labor contracts. In addition, protection of employees, ICT-related job vision and social respect have to be perused.

병원간호사의 조직몰입 구조모형: 다중집단분석을 통한 세대별 조절 효과 (A structural equation model of organizational commitment by hospital nurses: The moderating effect of each generation through multi-group analysis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct a structural equation model of organizational commitment in hospital nurses based on a job demands-resources model and to confirm the moderating effect(s) according to the nurses' generation. Methods: The model was constructed of the exogenous variables of social support, emotional intelligence, emotional labor, and job conflict and the endogenous variables of burnout, job engagement, and organizational commitment. The participants were 560 hospital nurses working in 3 general hospitals. Data were collected from August 1 to September 30, 2021, and analyzed using SPSS Window 23.0 and IBM AMOS 23.0. Results: The strongest factor directly influencing hospital nurses' organizational commitment was social support. In a multiple group analysis, nurses' generation had a partial moderating effect. In a generation-specific analysis, the Z generation group was higher than the X and Y generation groups in the variables of emotional labor and burnout related to organizational commitment. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, to improve hospital nurses' organizational commitment, social support is needed as an important management strategy. At the organizational level, we need to develop ways to improve organizational commitment by reducing the emotional labor and burnout of Generation Z.

COVID-19's Effect on a Hotel Construction: A Case Study

  • The COVID-19 pandemic has unprecedented impacts on different sectors around the globe. The effects observed in developing countries are even more severe. Some projects stopped while many have cost and time overrun issues. This paper conducted a case study on the COVID-19's effects on a hotel construction project in Nepal. The study reviewed the literature on COVID-19 and its impact on construction sectors and conducted a semi-structured interview with the project's personnel. The interview response was analysed and the contributing factors that impacted the project and its performance were identified. The paper found financial, operational, contractual, safety, and risk management issues in the hotel project. Overall, the project cost increased by 32% where the material cost increased by 35% and labor cost increased by 28%. This research discusses causes, measures, and provides a broad perspective of the problems, significant challenges, and opportunities associated with the effects of COVID-19 on the construction industry. The Owner as well as the Contractors incurred added costs because of COVID-19. The paper identified contributing factors and presented the challenges which could be used as opportunities to minimize unforeseen impacts of the pandemics in near future. The lesson learned from this case study was that the labor cost and materials cost could have been minimized if the Owner and the Contractor had established alternative resources such as using locally available labor, materials, and alternative suppliers.

미국의 지역 인적자원개발과 지역 노사정 파트너쉽 연구 (Study on US regional human resource development and labor-management-government partnership)

  • 세계의 여러 선진국을 보면 국제 시장에서의 경쟁력 확보는 점차 노동자의 인적자원개발을 통한 고부가가치 산업에의 집중으로 나타나고 있다. 그리고 이러한 과정에서 특히 중요한 것은 노사 이해당사자와 관련 정부 기관이 파트너쉽을 통해 노동자의 숙련 형성 및 향상에 함께 참여한다는 것이다. 이는 어느 일방의 이해관계에 따라 진행되는 노동자의 훈련 프로그램은 그 효과가 충분히 실현되는 것이 어렵다는 인식에 기반한다. 그동안 우리나라에서는 유럽의 선진 국가에서 나타나는 노사정 파트너십과 노동자의 인적자원개발전략에 많은 주목을 해왔다. 이러한 사례연구를 보면 유럽 국가에서는 강력한 노동조합을 통해 노사정 파트너쉽체제를 구축하고 있으며 각 이해당사자는 협력을 통해 노사가 공동으로 이익을 얻을 수 있는 고용 및 훈련 프로그램에 적극적으로 참여하고 있다. 이에 반해 세계 주요 선진국 중 대표적인 미국에서의 노사 참여적인 인적자원개발에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 부족한데 그 이유는 분권화의 전통이 강하고 시장원리가 보다 더 강조되는 미국에서는 전국차원에서 노사정 파트너쉽을 구축할 수 있는 기제가 발달되어 있지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 비록 미국의 경우 연방 차원에서는 노사정 간의 사회적 대화기제를 찾기 어렵다고 하더라도 지역 차원이나 다양한 업종별 프로그램에서는 이해당사자가 파트너쉽을 통해 공동의 문제를 함께 풀어나가는 사례를 어렵지 않게 발견할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 인력투자법 (Workforce Investment Act)에 근거한 원스톱 센터와 위스컨신 지역훈련파트너쉽 (Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership)을 통해 미국에서 지역 차원의 노사정 파트너쉽이 어떻게 작동하며 어떠한 프로그램으로 운영되고 있는 지를 분석하고 있다. 원스톱센터가 연방 정부법에 의해 각 주에서 제도적으로 전개되는 지역 노사정파트너쉽 모델이라면 WRTP 는 민간주도의 지역 노사정파트너쉽 모델이라고 볼 수 있다. 두 사례는 OECD 에서도 대표적인 지역 파트너쉽 모범 사례로 소개되고 있으며 현재 우리나라 지역인적자원개발정책의 주요 참고 사례가 되고 있다.

해운산업에 대한 정부지원의 타당성 검토 (The Appropriatness of Government Support of Shipping Industry ; A General Equilibrium Approach)

  • In this study the economic impacts of government support of shipping industry in the labor rich country are appraised in a general equilibrium model. Shipping industry subsidies (which are supposed to be supplied by lump-sum tax) will decrease disposable income by shifting productive resources from traded goods to the comparatively disadvantageous transport sector, and at the same time reduce the implicit tariff effect by lowering transport costs. The net effect of shipping industry subsidies is to increase social welfare because the latter positive effect of shipping industry subsidies is to increase social welfare because the latter positive effect dominates the former negative effect. Such an increase in social welfare can never be expected from competitive traded goods industry subsidies in the case of which social welfare will actually decrease because of inefficient resource allocation resulting from the subsidies. In addition it is worth noting that the subsidies on the most capital intensive shipping industry will rectify unevenness in income distribution by raising relative price of labor contrary to subsidies on capital intensive traded goods.

빈곤 여성가장의 삶의 과정에 관한 질적 연구 (The Life Course of Poor Female Household Heads: A Qualitative Analysis)

  • This study explored and described the life course of poor female household heads. The data was gathered by in-depth interviews with thirteen poor female heads of households. Most of poor female household heads grew up in poor families. nev could not be educated properly due to their families' poverty and boy preference, and they moved to urban areas to become informal sector laborers. After the marriages, their living conditions became worse, because many of them got married to so lazy men who had alcoholic problems that were not willing to provide their families. The poor female heads of households were under difficulties owing to low income and unstable labor Condition. The economic hardship disturbed the interaction with kins and friends. Although they got in touch with these people, they had uncomfortable feelings because they did not have enough resources which made these relationships reciprocal. Therefore, social welfare policy were essential to support the poor female heads of households.
