This study was to analyze the effect of 'mobile science-lab' through the survey of students' perception. 'Mobile science-lab' is the one of the most distinguished public science programs and has been made in order to promote the students' understanding of science by providing students an opportunity to be engaged in several activities of science and high-technology. To fulfill the purpose of this study, we analyzed the opinions of 3,643 students who participated in 'mobile science-lab'. As the results, 'mobile science-lab' is very effective on improving the students' interest and concern of science. Most students recognized that the best advantage of 'mobile science-lab' is the participation in experiments. To overcome the mobile science-lab's some limits, more researches including development of the training program of science show coordinators should be done.

Electrical resistivity survey is widely applied to the dam seepage problems. Main purpose of the resistivity survey is to delineate the inhomogeneity in the dam. In this study, two- (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) resistivity survey methodology and corresponding interpretations of the data have been analyzed using 3-D resistivity modeling results. Since resistivity structures beneath the dam and its shape are 3-D in nature, we could get more accurate image of the dam structures using 3-D survey compared to 2-D survey even though we cannot employ the grid-shape survey layout.

This paper shows survey result on safety management status of laboratories in Korea. In Korea, many studies and reports on laboratory safety have been published since the ministry of education, science and technology (MEST) enforced the Act on Establishing a Safe Environment of Laboratories (Lab Safety Act) in 2006. The MEST has surveyed status of safety management in institutions subject to Lab Safety Act in 2008 and 2010. According to the survey result, safety management status of universities and colleges has been improved on several factors such as establishment of safety manual and implementation of safety inspection; while the number of safety managers of universities and colleges have increased. However, the difficulties in performing duties of safety managers has increased because the number of exclusive safety managers has decreased. This paper identifies the similarities and differences between Occupational Safety and Health Act and Lab Safety Act on assignment and duties of safety managers; therefore, this paper suggests a standard to determine the number of safety managers and decide whether or not their duties should be exclusive. Besides current standard that is based on the number of researchers, the number of individual laboratories should be considered. The new method would be helpful to determine the number of exclusive safety managers because the amount of safety managers' duties generally do not depend on only the number of people who may be exposed to any risk but also the number of facilities that may be cause of any accident.

한전에서는 1996년 제주-해남간 HVDC 설치에 이어, 1999년 서대구 S/S에 SVC를 설치하였다. 이와 관련하여 본 논문에서는 한전계통에 최초로 설치한 서대구 S/S의 SVC설비운용과 관련하여 SVC의 이론 및 제어기법과 관련된 일반이론을 소개하고, 설치된 SVC의 기기구성방식 및 특성, 제어특성, 기기사양 등에 대해 간략하게 소개하고자 한다. 서대구 SVC는 345kV/13.5kV, 100MVA급으로서 TCR 및 TSC방식의 하이브리드 방식으로 되어 있다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the development direction of a BIM performance assessment tool. To do this, a series of focused group interviews were conducted with BIM experts in South Korea regarding the objective, characteristic, potential problems of a BIM performance assessment tool. A survey questionnaire was developed based on the focused group interviews and distributed to practitioners through four different occasions. The survey results showed that there were the significant differences between practitioners by their field and years of experience about the objective, characteristic, potential problems of a BIM performance assessment tool. Based on the survey results, the consideration factors for developing a BIM performance assessment tool was suggested.

Purpose: The study aims to evaluate satisfaction of toothpaste adding natural materials extracted from Zanthoxylum schinifolium and various herbs (Pine, Lemongrass, Spearmint). Methods: We performed the first survey to collect basic data for the development of natural herbal toothpaste. Participants were the general public in Jeonju and Iksan of Jeollabuk-do, and a total of 273 questionnaires were analyzed for the study. By adding anthoxylum schinifolium and herbal extracts (Pine, Lemongrass, Spearmint) to the toothpaste, four kinds of natural herbal toothpaste prototypes were manufactured. The second survey was conducted to assess the satisfaction one week after using the natural herbal toothpaste prototypes. Results: Satisfaction with current toothpaste was 3.52. The most important criterion of toothpaste was the prevention of tooth caries. 55.3% participants obtained toothpaste information through advertising. The survey indicated the most worrisome ingredient of toothpaste was surfactant, showing 55.3%. The overall satisfaction of natural herbal toothpaste was 3.99; among the four natural herbal toothpaste, toothpaste 2 (Zanthoxylum schinifolium, Lemongrass) showed the highest satisfaction as 3.99; and toothpaste 3 (Zanthoxylum schinifolium, Spearmint) showed the lowest satisfaction as 3.56. Conclusion: Four kinds of natural herbal toothpaste showed higher satisfaction as 3.99. In particular, the toothpaste adding Zanthoxylum schinifolium and Lemongrass extracts.

In recent years, the market for online computer games has become an important part in the entertainment industry. New online games have been introduced every month and the numbers of game players who are playing online games have grown rapidly. However, only a few online games have been successful in making a good profit among many online games. Why are most players playing only a few online games repeatedly? To answer the question, this research focuses on the customer loyalty and their optimal experience(flow) in playing specific online games. This research hypothesizes that customer loyalty for specific online game can be increased by customers' optimal experience(flow) in playing it, and they would feel optimal experience because of mechanic and social interaction in online games. In order to validate the hypothesis, this research analyzes online survey data of players of various online games. According to this survey results, players' optimal experience is affected by their mechanic interaction between a player and an online game system, and their social interaction with other players who participated in the online game. And their optimal experience during playing the online game affects the degree of customer loyalty to the game. This paper ends with conclusions of the survey results and study limits.

According to the Laboratory Safety Act, each laboratory in the field of science and technology must conduct safety inspections and diagnosis every year or every two years. At present, the relevant guidelines are not clear, so there is a high possibility that inspection and diagnosis will become ineffective. In the laboratory, there is a pre-risk factor analysis system for hazardous factors, but there are many difficulties in implementation due to lack of education and understanding of the researchers, excessive work, etc. For the analysis of the opinions of experts in the safety field using the Delphi technique, we analyzed the following items: 1. Consideration in applying the Lab Safety Act, 2. Consideration in Lab Safety inspection and diagnosis, and 3. Government policy necessary for Lab. safety. Through the investigation and analysis of the detailed items, we extracted for problems and alternatives in current laboratory safety diagnosis and current law.

This study was carried out to survey the effect of Jujube extract on the growth of 3 strains of lactic acid bacteria(LBA) starter cultures in the MRS broth by the addition of 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 2% extract The pH, titratable acidity and OD of LAB were investigated in order to get fundamental knowledge for the development a new product. The effects of Jujube extract on the growth of LAB were variable depending upon the LAB species and concentrations of Jujube extract significantly (p<0.05). In the results, Jujube extract enhanced the acid production and propagation by the 3 LAB strains with increasing concentration of Jujube extracts until 2.0% added was to the MRS broth medium (p<0.05). Addition of Jujube extract markedly stimulated the acid production and propagation of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Streptococcus thermophilus and Bifidobacterium longum.
