  • Vibration data of mechanical equipment inevitably have noise. This noise adversely af ects the maintenance of mechanical equipment. Accordingly, the performance of a learning model depends on how effectively the noise of the data is removed. In this study, the noise of the data was removed using the Denoising Auto Encoder (DAE) technique which does not include the characteristic extraction process in preprocessing time series data. In addition, the performance was compared with that of the Wavelet Transform, which is widely used for machine signal processing. The performance comparison was conducted by calculating the failure detection rate. For a more accurate comparison, a classification performance evaluation criterion, the F-1 Score, was calculated. Failure data were detected using the One-Class SVM technique. The performance comparison, revealed that the DAE technique performed better than the Wavelet Transform technique in terms of failure diagnosis and error rate.

  • We developed a 37-channel magnetoencephalogram (MEG) measurement system based on low-noise superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometets, and operated the system to measure MEG signals. By using double relaxation oscillation SQUIDs with high flux-4o-voltage transfers, the SQUID outputs could be measured directly by room temperature preamplifiers and compact readout circuits were used for SQUID operation. The average field noise level of the magnetometers is about 3 fT/√Hz in the white region, low enough for MEG measurements when operated inside a magnetically shielded room. The 37 magnetometers were distributed on a hemispherical surface haying a radius of 125 mm. In addition to the 37 sensing channels. 11 reference channels were installed to pickup external noise and to form software gradiometers. A low-noise liquid helium dewar was fabricated with a liquid capacity of 30 L and boil-off rate of 4 L/d. The signal processing software consists of digital filtering, software gradiometer, isofield mapping and source localization. By using the developed system, we measured auditory-evoked fields and localized the current dipoles, demonstrating the effectiveness of the system.

  • This paper describes the dynamic characteristics of the joint structures in case of using the simplified beam model in the F. E. analysis. The modeling errors, when replace the shell with the beam, are investigated through F. E. normal modes analysis. Normal mode analysis were performed to obtain the natural frequencies of the L and T shaped joints with various type of channels. The results were analyzed to access the effects of the models on the accuracy of F.E. analysis by identifying the geometric factors which cause the error. The geometric factors considered are joint angle, channel length, thickness and area ratio of the hollow section to the filled one. The joint stiffness evaluation technique is developed in this study using normal modes analysis with Lumped Mass. With this method, the progressively improved results of F. E. analysis are obtained using the simplified beam model. The static and normal modes analysis are performed with the joint stiffness values obtained by the Kazunori Shimonkakis' virtual stiffness method and the proposed method and these simplified modeling errors are compared.

  • It is suggested that magnetosonic waves (also known as equatorial noise) can scatter radiation belt electrons in the Earth's magnetosphere. Therefore, it is important to understand the global distribution of these waves between the proton cyclotron frequency and the lower hybrid resonance frequency. In this study, we developed an empirical model for estimating the global distribution of magnetosonic wave amplitudes and wave normal angles. The model is based on the entire mission period (approximately 2012-2019) of observations of Van Allen Probes A and B as a function of the distance from the Earth (denoted by L*), magnetic local time (MLT), magnetic latitude (λ), and geomagnetic activity (denoted by the Kp index). In previous studies the wave distribution inside and outside the plasmasphere were separately investigated and modeled. Our model, on the other hand, identifies the wave distribution along with the ambient plasma environment-defined by the ratio of the plasma frequency (fpe) to the electron cyclotron frequency (fce)-without separately determining the wave distribution according to the plasmapause location. The model results show that, as Kp increases, the dayside wave amplitude in the equatorial region intensifies. It thereby propagates the intense region towards the wider MLT and inward to L* < 4. In contrast, the fpe/fce ratio decreases with increasing Kp for all regions. Nevertheless, the decreasing aspect differs between regions above and below L* = 4. This finding implies that the particle energy and pitch angle that magnetosonic waves can effectively scatter vary depending on the locations and geomagnetic activity. Our model agrees with the statistically observed wave distribution and ambient plasma environment with a coefficient of determination of > 0.9. The model is valid in all MLTs, 2 ≤ L* < 6, |λ| < 20°, and Kp ≤ 6.

  • There are several factors that have influence on the phase noise of an oscillator. But one of the major factors is the flicker noise of a transistor, since the phase noise of an oscillator is generated by mixing the carrier with the low frequency noise near the DC having the characteristic of 1/f. In this paper, we have presented a method on reducing the phase noise of an oscillator by using a low-frequency feedback circuit based on an active bias circuit, and have fabricated a DRO for a DBS receiver. Measurement results show that the phase noise is -92 dBc/Hz at the 10 KHz offset frequency, and from these results we have found out that the reduction method is very effective.

  • Called VISTA (Variable-stability In-flight Simulator Test Aircraft), the one-of-a-kind NF-l6D has a simulation system that can mimic several aircraft. Though housed in an F-l6 Fighting Falcon airframe, VISTA can also act like the F-15 Eagle or the Navy's F-14 Tomcat. More importantly, such flexibility allows for improved training and consolidation of some sorties. Consequently USAF Test Pilot School students will have an opportunity to learn how to test future integrated cockpits. In this paper we will use the multiple model adaptive estimation (MMAE) and the multiple model adaptive controller (MMAC) techniques to model the aircraft's flight control system containing the longitudinal and lateral-directional axes. Single and dual actuator and sensor failures will also be included in the simulation. White Gaussian noise will be included to simulate the effects of atmospheric disturbances.

  • This paper presents a 18-mW, 2.5-㎓ fractional-N frequency synthesizer with l-bit $4^{th}$-order interpolative delta-sigma ($\Delta{\;}$\sum$)modulator to suppress fractional spurious tones while reducing in-band phase noise. A fractional-N frequency synthesizer with a quadruple prescaler has been designed and implemented in a $0.5-\mu\textrm{m}$ 15-GHz $f_t$ BiCMOS. Synthesizing 2.1 GHzwith less than 200 Hz resolution, it exhibits an in-band phase noise of less than -85 dBc/Hz at 1 KHz offset frequency with a reference spur of -85 dBc and no fractional spurs. The synthesizer also shows phase noise of -139 dBc/Hz at an offset frequency of 1.2 MHz from a 2.1GHz center frequency.

  • In this paper, a new speech enhancement method using level adapted wavelet packet is presented. First, we propose a level adapted wavelet packet to alleviate a drawback of the conventional node adapted one in noisy environment. Next, we suggest an adaptive noise estimation method at each node on level adapted wavelet packet tree. Then, for more accurate noise component subtraction, we propose a new estimation method of spectral subtraction weight. Finally, we present a modified spectral subtraction method. The proposed method is evaluated on various noise conditions: speech babble noise, F-l6 cockpit noise, factory noise, pink noise, and Volvo car interior noise. For an objective evaluation, the SNR test was performed. Also, spectrogram test and a very simple listening test as a subjective evaluation were performed.

  • Purpose Recently PET/CT image's attenuation correction is used CTAC(Computed Tomgraphy Attenuation Correction). it can quantitative evaluation by SUV(Standard Uptake Value). This study's purpose is to evaluate SUV and to find proper CT kernel using CTAC with applied various CT kernel to PET/CT construction. Materials and Methods Biograph mCT 64 was used for the equipment. We were performed on 20 patients who had examed at our hospital from february through March 2017. Using NEMA IEC Body Phantom, The data was reconstructed PET/CT images with CTAC appiled various CT kernel. ANOVA was used to evaluated the significant difference in the result. Results The result of measuring the radioactivity concentration of Phantom was B45F 96% and B80F 6.58% against B08F CT kernel, each respectively. the SUVmax increased to B45F 0.86% and B80F 6.54% against B08F CT kernel, In case of patient's parts data, the Lung SUVmax increased to B45F 1.6% and B80F 6.6%, Liver SUVmax increased to B45F 0.7% and B80F 4.7%, and Bone SUVmax increased to B45F 1.3% and B80F 6.2%, respectively. As for parts of patient's about Standard Deviation(SD), the Lung SD increased to B45F 4.2% and B80F 15.4%, Liver SD increased to B45F 2.1% and B80F 11%, and Bone SD increased to B45F 2.3% and B80F 14.7%, respectively. There was no significant difference discovered in three CT kernel (P >.05). Conclusion When using increased noise CT kernel for PET/CT reconstruction, It tends to change both SUVmax and SD in ROI(region of interest), Due to the increase the CT kernel number, Sharp noise increased in ROI. so SUVmax and SD were highly measured, but there was no statistically significant difference. Therefore Using CT kernel of low variation of SD occur less variation of SUV.

  • In this paper, the noise equivalent cicuits that is necessary to the formulation of D.C. and noise characteristics, residual component and input capacitance so as to analyze on the noise factors of the SIT is proposed. The simplest noise equivalent circuit is the model representing the mechanism of the SIT and the measured values in this model were found as small as the values of the shot-noise. In the source resistance inserted equivalent circuit is conformed that the shot-noise will be reduced by the negative-feedback effect of the source resistance. In oder to analyze the correct noise reduction factor, I proposed the equivalent circuit which the formulas of the source and drain resistance was induced. In the experiment which affirm the equivalent circuits, the influence of the signal source resistance and output load resistance on the residual component is small and the residual component can be expressed by the equivalent input noise resistance. Moreover, the input capacitance is 13.6 pF when the load resistance is $0{\Omega}$ and the capacitance which does not concern with the SIT operation directly, that is, gate wire etc, is 10pF or so.
