  • Casual games are often have simple rule and easy to play. Like Angry birds, players can sling a bird as a bomb to destroy target. But the film adaption encounters numerous questions. games in pursuit of strong sensed presence, pay attention to experience; film stress the integrity of the story, attaches great importance to plot. However, casual games don't have story and plot. This paper take angry birds as example, analyzes the difficulties and method of adaptation from leisure mobile games to films, summarizes the key successful elements of adaption, such as subdivided the target group, chose an appropriate genre, write a script follow the basic logic and frame of film, set contradiction, complicated the character and still contain key elements of the game, in order to provide new ideas in the future development of integration of game and movie industry.

  • Whether it is an online game or a stand alone game, research will ultimately never stop to increase the degree of realistic expression of visual effects. Recently, realistic characters are appearing in games. Particularly, due to the development of virtual reality technology, RPG games with simulation-based realistic images are becoming popular. The player can experience the story of the game in the game and experience difficulty level by level. As other players, teammates, or enemy characters appear as realistic characters, and the episode of the game expands, the importance of realistic game characters is growing so that they can play more. Adding a realistic game character to a game based on a classic movie character gives the player a more realistic and interesting visual experience. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of realistic character style on the fun and visual effects of games.

Evaluation of Design Fire Curves for Single Combustibles in a Cinema Complex (복합영상관 단일 가연물의 디자인 화재곡선 평가)

  • An actual fire test was performed on single combustibles placed in a local cinema complex, and quantitative differences in the maximum heat release rate (HRR) and fire growth rate were investigated based on the design fire curve methods (i.e., the general and 2-stage methods). In terms of combustible use and fire load, a total of 12 combustibles were selected, classified into cinema lounge and movie theater. It was found that the maximum HRR and fire growth rate determined using the two-stage method were quantitatively different from those of the general method. The application of the two-stage method, which can be used to determine the fire growth rate of the initial fire stage more precisely, could be useful in accurately predicting the activation time of fire detectors and fire-extinguishing facilities, as well as the available safe egress time (ASET) and required safe egress time (RSET).

  • Today, one of the most important reasons that 3D software becomes a core part of the essential tools in the video contents field like the movies, animation, CF, motion graphic, games and etc. is that they can save budget of contents makings and can produce better effects than conventional methods like miniature, matt painting, extra mobilization and etc. and can save time and have the merit that they are not limited in space. In this paper, I analyzed IK(Inverse kinematics) system characteristics for the efficient education of 3D character animation particularly most used of 3D applications which is now supposed to be nearly necessary elements in game, animation, movie and contents. And by analyzing merits and demerits of each tool on Bone, Character studio and Character Animation Toolkit, systems which are most used practically in the various Inverse kinematics tools, I showed the result of analyses about the fact that educating which of the above three Inverse Kinematics tools is helpful and beneficial for the students for the efficient education in the university where should teach much in the limited time

  • In general, under interactive broadcasting environment, user finds additional service using top-down menu. However, user can't know that additional service provides information until retrieval has finished and top-down menu requires multi-level retrieval. This paper proposes the new method for additional service providing not using top-down menu but using object selection. For the purpose of this method, the movie of a MPEG should be synchronized with the object information(position, size, shape) and object tracking technique is required. Synchronization technique uses the Directshow provided by the Microsoft. Object tracking techniques use a motion-based tracking and a model-based tracking together. We divide object into two parts. One is face and the other is substance. Face tracking uses model-based tracking and Substance uses motion-based tracking base on the block matching algorithm. To improve precise tracking, motion-based tracking apply the temporal prediction search algorithm and model-based tracking apply the face model which merge ellipse model and color model.

  • With rapid development in ultra fast communication and digital multimedia, the realistic broadcasting technology, that can stimulate five human senses beyond the conventional audio-visual service is emerging as a new generation broadcasting technology. In this paper, we introduce a haptic broadcasting system and related core system and component techniques by which we can 'touch and feel' objects in an audio-visual scene. The system is composed of haptic media acquisition and creation, contents authoring, in the haptic broadcasting, the haptic media can be 3-D geometry, dynamic properties, haptic surface properties, movement, tactile information to enable active touch and manipulation and passive movement following and tactile effects. In the proposed system, active haptic exploration and manipulation of a 3-D mesh, active haptic exploration of depth video, passive kinesthetic interaction, and passive tactile interaction can be provided as potential haptic interaction scenarios and a home shopping, a movie with tactile effects, and conducting education scenarios are produced to show the feasibility of the proposed system.

Timeline Tag Cloud Generation for Broadcasting Contents using Blog Postings (블로그 포스팅을 이용한 방송 콘텐츠 영상의 타임라인 단위 태그 클라우드 생성)

  • Due to the recent increasement of user created contents like SNS, blog posts, and so on, broadcast contents are actively re-construction by its users. Especially, on some genres like drama, movie, various information from cars and film sites to clothes and watches in a content is spreaded out to other users through blog postings. Since such information can be an additional information for the content, they can be used for providing high-quality broadcast services. For this purpose, in this paper, we propose timeline tag cloud generation method for broadcasting contents. In the proposed method, blog postings on the target contents are first gathered and then, images and words around images are extracted from a blog post as a tag set. An extracted tag set is tagged on a specific timeline of the target content. In experiments, to prove the efficiency of the proposed method, we evaluated the performances of the proposed image matching and tag cloud generation methods.

  • Feminism on the theme of gender equality is emerging as an important issue in the overall Korean culture. Feminism is not only a level of claiming or advocating women's rights, but an essential subject of gaze and thought, not a distorted, artificially portrayed image of women distorted or typified in a story created by men in the past It is a film that explores the problem of the individual's life in society fundamentally. Jun Koeun's movie' 'micro-habitat'(2018) 'expresses a feminist theme that shows a strong self - selection and transcendental thinking in male - oriented stereotypes and inequal social structure. The film, which focuses on the public insight into society and the enhancement of the ideal human being from the viewpoint that the public film should lead the educated enlightenment character that raises the broad insight into the world and lead the mature social culture, I think it will play a big role.

  • With the advent of integration environment of broadcasting and communication, IPTV has been widely used. It provides services such as information, movie contents and broadcasting through TV using super-high speed networks. Developments of Wireless LAN and IP network technology create various and fusional services such as IPTV, VoIP that are based on IP network. The development of Wireless LAN is very important in IPTV network field which requires the best quality of service on the security, QoS and bandwidth. In this Paper, We configure the experimental network in its RIP and OSPF environment to test the Video Quality of IPTV in Wireless LAN. We measure and evaluate broadcasting quality by using PSNR to show the corelation of Routing Protocols in Wireless LAN in which how they affect to the IPTV real-time Video Quality.

Deep Learning-based Target Masking Scheme for Understanding Meaning of Newly Coined Words

  • Recently, studies using deep learning to analyze a large amount of text are being actively conducted. In particular, a pre-trained language model that applies the learning results of a large amount of text to the analysis of a specific domain text is attracting attention. Among various pre-trained language models, BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers)-based model is the most widely used. Recently, research to improve the performance of analysis is being conducted through further pre-training using BERT's MLM(Masked Language Model). However, the traditional MLM has difficulties in clearly understands the meaning of sentences containing new words such as newly coined words. Therefore, in this study, we newly propose NTM(Newly coined words Target Masking), which performs masking only on new words. As a result of analyzing about 700,000 movie reviews of portal 'N' by applying the proposed methodology, it was confirmed that the proposed NTM showed superior performance in terms of accuracy of sensitivity analysis compared to the existing random masking.
