The flora of the vascular plants in Deoksesan Mt. and its adjacent areas, located at Inje-gun, Gangwon province, were surveyed for a total ten times from April of 2018 to July of 2020. The result of this survey revealed 457 taxa, consisting of 90 families, 287 genera, 404 species, 13 subspecies, 35 varieties, and 5 forms. Among them, 12 taxa were endemic plants to Korea, and 7 taxa were rare plants. Red list plants and those designated as controlled Korean biological resources, requiring special permission for export outside of the county, numbered 3 and 103 taxa, respectively. The floristic target species amounted to 83 taxa, specifically 8 taxa of grade IV, 26 taxa of grade III, 21 taxa of grade II, and 28 taxa of grade I. In addition, 14 taxa were classified as plants adaptable to climate change, and 4 taxa at their respective northern limits, first recorded in this study, were also investigated. Twenty-nine taxa of alien plants and 4 taxa of ecosystem disturbance species were also found in this area. Our results suggest that some species should be preserved and can serve as basic information with which to establish data on the preservation of resources, such as plant diversity and distributional changes on Deoksesan Mt.

This study was carried out to investigate the flora of estuary regions, Namdaecheon, Jusucheon, and Maeupcheon, placed in the east coast of Gangwon-do. The vascular plants were summarized as 441taxa, including 90 families, 277 genera, 388 species, 2 subspecies, 35 varieties, and 6 forms. Number of species in each investigated region was 271taxa of Namdaecheon, 247taxa of Jusucheon, and 285taxa of Maeupcheon, respectively. Among the investigated 441taxa, 7 Korean endemic, 5 rare plants and 37 specially designated plants by Ministry of Environment were also included. Aquatic and hydrophyte plants were collected 41taxa, and the thinophyte and halophyte plants were investigated 22taxa. The naturalized plants were 59taxa, and the percent of naturalized plant species was estimated as 13.3%. Based on the floristic composition, Maeupcheon was estimated as well conserved estuary region among the investigated 3 rivers.
This study was carried out to investigate the flora of Mt. Seoungma (Gyeonggi-do). The vascular plant were collected 13 times (from March to October 2011), and 384 taxa in total were identified, including 94 families, 260 genera, 340 species, 5 subspecies, 37 varieties and 2 forms. Korean endemic plants of this area were nine taxa; Clematis brachyura, Rhododendron mucronulatum, Forsythia koreana, Paulownia coreana, etc. Rare plants (IUCN) by the Korean Forest Service and Korean National Arboretum three taxa were recorded; one Critically Endangered species (CR), Prunus yedoensis, one Vulnerable species (VU), Epimedium koreanum, one Least Concemed species (LC), Phacelurus latifolius. The floristic regional indicator plants found in this area were 15 taxa comprising two taxa of grade V and III, one taxa of grade II, 10 taxa of grade I. Furthermore, therophytes (28.3%), hemicryptophytes (23.0%), hydrophytes (14.3%) showed high proportional ratio in life form spectrum. The naturalized plants were identified as 43 taxa and the percent of naturalized index (NI) was 11.2% of total 384 taxa vascular plants. The vegetation status of investigated area was comparatively well conserved, but the degree of damage was increasing rapidly by the disturbances of human beings. Therefore, a long-term monitoring of vegetation changes and movement grasp must become accomplished.

The purpose of this study is to present the basic data for conservation and management of traditional landscape and ecological environment by surveying and analysing the vascular plants distributed in Gwnagneung, a royal tomb of the Joseon Dynasty. The results are as follows. The numbers of vascular plants were summarized as 446 taxa including 97 families, 274 genera, 384 species, 4 subspecies, 49 varieties and 9 forms. The planting species were 34 taxa including Ginkgo biloba L., Pinus koraiensis Siebold & Zucc., Taxus cuspidata Siebold & Zucc. and so forth. Exotic species such as Pterocarya stenoptera DC. and Magnolia obovata Thunb. need to be remove for traditional landscape management. The rare plants were 7 taxa including 2 taxa of CR(critically endangered), 2 taxa of VU(vulnerable) and 3 taxa of LC(least concerned). The Korean endemic plants were 8 taxa including Pseudostellaria coreana (Nakai) Ohwi, Chrysosplenium pilosum var. fulvum (N.Terracc.) The specific plants by floristic region were 45 taxa including 2 taxa of grade V, 12 taxa of grade III, 9 taxa of grade II and 22 taxa of grade I. The naturalized plants were 25 taxa including Fallopia dumetorum (L.) Holub, Chenopodium ficifolium Smith, Amorpha fruticosa L., Galinsoga ciliata (Raf.) S.F.Blake and so forth. The target plants adaptable to climate change were 9 taxa including 1 taxon of endemic plant and 8 taxa of northern plants.

To investigate the distribution of vascular plants growing at Wetland in Daegu·Gyeongbook, we surveyed from June 2020 to October in 2021. The flora of wetland was classified as a total of 459 taxa comprising of 104 families, 286 genus, 406 species, 12 subspecies, 34 varieties, 6 forma, 1 hybrid. Among them, the rare plants species 5 taxa, endemic plants 11 taxa, floristic regional indicator plants 57 taxa, naturalized plants 27 taxa and wetland plants 74 taxa were recorded. The percentage of urbanization index was 8.44%, the naturalized ratio was 5.88%, respectively.
The vascular plants of the studied area in Keum River lower stream were listed 238 taxa: 74 families, 179 genera, 211 species, 24 varieties and 3 forms. In this, Woody plant were 60 taxa (25.2%), Herb plants were 178 taxa (74.8%) of all 238 taxa vascular plants. Pteridophyta were 4 families, 4 genera, 4 taxa, Gymnospermae were 2 families, 2 genera, 3 taxa and Angiospermae were 68 families, 173 genera, 231 taxa. Based on the list of Korean endemic plant, 2 taxa were recorded; Populus tomentiglandulosa, Forsythia koreana. Specific plant species by floral region were total 7 taxa; Salix siuzevii in class III, 6 taxa (Ainus hirsute, Quercus variabilis, Mallotus japonicus, Plantago camtschatica, Actinostemma lobatum, Sagittaria aginashi) in class I. The naturalized plants in this site were 14 families, 35 genera, 40 species, 2 varieties, 42 taxa and naturalization rate was 17.6% of all 238 taxa vascular plants. Wild plants disturbing ecosystem like Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. etatior have been increasing. So, it needs continuing control and conservation measures on the plant ecosystem.
