Most studies of organizational effectiveness previously done, have measured financial performance such as productivity, efficiency or subjective performance such as a commitment, satisfaction, and turnover intention of employees. However, these measurements have limitations to evaluate a organizational effectiveness in recent knowledge information era because evaluation of organizational effectiveness in knowledge-based society needs measurements in various aspects such as financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth. The purpose of this study is to overcome these problems and to introduce an appropriate system for evaluation of organizational effectiveness under knowledge management paradigm. In this paper, we suggest a Balanced Scorecard(BSC) as a new measurement standard of organizational effectiveness in a knowledge information era. The balanced scorecard is designed to help firms that have historically overemphasized short-term financial performance. When measuring organizational effectiveness through Balanced Scorecard(BSC) suggested by Kaplan and Norton[31], it is to present the measurement indices that can cover the limitation of the past evaluation indices of organizational effectiveness.

The task for chromosome analysis and diagnosis by experienced cytogenetists are being concerned as repetitive, time consuming job and expensive. FOr that reason, chromosome analysis system based on knowledge base for CAI had been established to be able to analyze chromosomes and obtain necessary advises from the knowledge base instead of human experts. That s to say, knowledge base by IF THEN production rule was implemented to a knowledge domain with normal and abnormal chromosomes, and then the inference results by knowledge base could enter the inference data into the database. Experimental data were composed of normal chromosome of 2,736 patients'cases and abnormal chromosomes of 259 patients'cases that have been obtained from GTG-banding metaphase peripheral blood and amniotic fluid samples. The complete system provides variously morphological information by analysis of normal or abnormal chromosomes and it also has the advantage of being able to consult with user on chromosome analysis and diagnosis.

This study empirically tested a research model and hypothesis extracted and based on IT governance and knowledge sharing theories. In this study we targeted CIO and IS managers to find the effects of the degree of knowledge sharing between CEO and CIO regarding five areas of IT governance decision-making: IT principles, IT architecture, IT infrastructure, business application needs, and IT investment and prioritization, on IT and business alignment. Additionally we studied the effects of business alignment on the effectiveness of information systems. Results showed that the degree of knowledge sharing in CEO and CIO on IT principles, IT infrastructure, IT investment and prioritization had a positive influence on IT and business alignment, ultimately showing a positive influence on the effectiveness of information systems. This research has shown that fording the preferable relationship between IT and business affected by performing high quality decision making based on knowledge sharing and consequently it also is a basis to provide a positive influence to the effectiveness of the information system.

This study reports the first step in the Classification-based Search and Knowledge Discovery (CSKD) project, which aims to combine information organization and retrieval approaches for building digital library applications. In this study, we explored the generation and application of a faceted vocabulary as a potential mechanism to enhance knowledge discovery. The faceted vocabulary construction process revealed some heuristics that can be refined in follow-up studies to further automate the creation of faceted classification structure, while our concept search application demonstrated the utility and potential of integrating classification-based approach with retrieval-based approach. Integration of text- and classification-based methods as outlined in this paper combines the strengths of two vastly different approaches to information discovery by constructing and utilizing a flexible information organization scheme from an existing classification structure.

최근 지식과 정보의 창출, 확산 및 활용을 기반으로 하는 지식기반 경제로의 이행이 가속화되고 있다. 이러한 변화 하에서 기술시장 지식정보는 연구개발, 신규투자, 기술도입, 수출시장 모색, 시장 개척, 미래 발전전략 수립 등에 있어서 가장 중요한 요소가 되고 있다. 본 고는 이상적인 기술시장 지식정보 시스템을 구축하기 위해 국내 기술 시장 지식정보와 관련된 유사 사이트의 현황과 문제점을 분석하고, 그 결과를 수합하여 개발방향을 제시하였다. 이 시스템에서는 사용자가 직접 정보분석 시스템에 참여하여 데이터를 분석하여 필요한 데이터를 얻을 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 다양한 분야의 전문가들이 개별기술 및 아이템의 기술 시장 지식정보에 대해 심층적이고 신속히 정보를 제공함으로써, 국제사회의 급속한 환경변화와 그에 따른 불확실성의 증대에 적극적으로 대처하여, 국가 기술경쟁력 강화에 이바지할 수 있도록 하였다.

Apartment auction is a system that is used for the citizens to get a house. This paper deals with the implementation of a web-based intelligent decision support system using OLAP technique and data mining technique for auction decision support. The implemented decision support system is working on a real auction database and is mainly composed of OLAP Knowledge Extractor based on data warehouse and Auction Data Miner based on data mining methodology. OLAP Knowledge Extractor extracts required knowledge and visualizes it from auction database. The OLAP technique uses fact, dimension, and hierarchies to provide the result of data analysis by menas of roll-up, drill-down, slicing, dicing, and pivoting. Auction Data Miner predicts a successful bid price by means of applying classification to auction database. The Miner is based on the lazy model-based classification algorithm and applies the concepts such as decision fields, dynamic domain information, and field weighted function to this algorithm and applies the concepts such as decision fields, dynamic domain information, and field weighted function to this algorithm to reflect the characteristics of auction database.

다양한 정보자원들로부터 사용자가 요구하는 맞춤화된 정보를 추출해 내는 것은 더욱 어려워지고 있다. RSS를 비롯하여 개선된 다양한 정보 수집 방법들이 개발되었지만, 여전히 정보가공자인 사람의 도움 없이 필요한 정보들을 수집하여 정리 및 가공하는 작업이 쉽지는 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정보사용자들이 사용 목적에 맞게 정보를 가공하는 부담을 줄여주기 위해 사례기반추론과 온톨로지에 기반한 맞춤형 통합정보생성 프레임워크를 제안한다. 본 프레임워크는 세 단계로 구성된다. 첫째, 수집된 웹 정보를 정보가공의 용이성을 위해 사례로 변환한다. 둘째, 동적 유사도 검색을 통해 수집된 사례들로부터 정보 사용자의 동적 요구사항에 적합한 사례를 검색한다. 셋째, 전 단계에서 추출된 사례를 정보사용자의 요구사항에 보다 적합한 지식으로 가공하기 위해 집중 유사도를 적용한다. 본 프레임워크는 여행자들의 정보수집을 위한 여행정보시스템에 적용되어 그 효과를 입증하였다.

기업체의 경우 지식의 창출, 공유, 활용이 조직의 전 부서에서 발생하고 있기 때문에 자료실 정보시스템 또는 지식관리시스템이라는 제한된 공간에서 수동적으로 수집되는 정보, 지식만으로는 이용자의 요구를 제대로 만족시킬 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 BPM(Business Process Management)이 활성화 되어 있는 은행 환경에서 은행의 일반 업무 및 조사를 지원해 주는 지식, 정보, 문서 등의 암묵적 지식과 형식적 지식을 수집, 공유, 활용할 수 있는 온톨로지 기반 지식 리포지토리 모형을 구현해 보았다. 국내 일반 은행 환경에 맞는 모형을 제안하기 위해서 은행의 지식 관리의 현황, 문제점 및 개선점 등을 네 개의 일반 은행의 각 지식관리자와 자료실 사서 그리고 30명의 은행원들을 대상으로 한 면담과 설문지 조사를 통해서 파악한 후, 이러한 조사 결과를 기초로 하여 모형을 구현하였다.

The proposal of this paper is the constructing of knowledge database with manufacturing information. This database contains characteristics of workpiece materials, cutting tools, NC machines, manufacturing processes, and work conditions. And all shape in the system are feature models such base plate, step, hole, pocket, boss, and slot. These information generate a final decision for machining process by the expert system.
