An Attempt to Measure the Familiarity of Specialized Japanese in the Nursing Care Field

  • Having a firm grasp of technical terms is essential for learners of Japanese for Specific Purposes (JSP). This research aims to analyze Japanese nursing care vocabulary based on objective corpus-based frequency and subjectively rated word familiarity. For this purpose, we constructed a text corpus centered on the National Examination for Certified Care Workers to extract nursing care keywords. The Log-Likelihood Ratio (LLR) was used as the statistical criterion for keyword identification, giving a list of 300 keywords as target words for a further word recognition survey. The survey involved 115 participants of whom 51 were certified care workers (CW group) and 64 were individuals from the general public (GP group). These participants rated the familiarity of the target keywords through crowdsourcing. Given the limited sample size, Bayesian linear mixed models were utilized to determine word familiarity rates. Our study conducted a comparative analysis of word familiarity between the CW group and the GP group, revealing key terms that are crucial for professionals but potentially unfamiliar to the general public. By focusing on these terms, instructors can bridge the knowledge gap more efficiently.

A Study on Optimizing User-Centered Disaster and Safety Information Application Service

  • This paper emphasizes that information received in disaster situations can lead to disparities in the effectiveness of communication, potentially causing damage. As a result, there is a growing demand for disaster and safety information among citizens. A user-centered disaster and safety information application service is designed to address the rapid dissemination of disaster and safety-related information, bridge information gaps, and alleviate anxiety. Through the Open API (Open Application Programming Interface), we can obtain clear information about the weather, air quality, and guidelines for disaster-related actions. Using chatbots, we can provide users with information and support decision-making based on their queries and choices, utilizing cloud APIs, public data portal open APIs, and solution knowledge bases. Additionally, through Mashup techniques with the Google Maps API and Twitter API, we can extract various disaster-related information, such as the time and location of disaster occurrences, update this information in the disaster database, and share it with users.

공항의 계류장 관리 스케줄링 및 조정을 위한 전문가시스템 (Ramp Activity Expert System for Scheduling and Co-ordination)

  • 이 연구에서는 항공기의 주기 문제를 해결하여 주는 스케줄링 시스템과 그 조정을 위한 전문가 시스템(RACES : Ramp Activity Co-ordination Expert System)을 설계 및 개발한 내용을 기술하고 있다. RACES는 공항에서 매일 발생하는 출발편 및 도착편 항공기를 브릿지(bridge)와 스팟(spot)에 배정하기 위해 인간 전문가(human expert)로부터 습득한 해당 분야의 지식(도메인 지식) 및 휴리스틱(heuristic)을 지식 베이스로 갖고 있다. 이 RACES는 브릿지/스팟과 항공기 간에 내적 관계, 예를 들어 승객 및 공항의 그라운드 핸들링(ground handling) 등과 같은 복잡하며 동적인 제약조건 들로부터 발생하는 복잡한 스케줄링 문제를 수반한다. 매일 발생하는 600편 정도의 항공기에 대한 주기장 관리 스케줄링이 인간 전문가에 의해 수행되어졌을 경우에는 약 4~5시간이 소요되는 반면 RACES에 의해 수행되어졌을 경우에는 약 20초 정도의 시간이 소요되었고 RACES로부터 얻어진 스케줄링 결과는 해당 분야의 전문가들로부터 인정되었다. RACES는 또한 예외적인 상황이 발생했을 경우에 스케줄의 부분적인 조정을 처리하도록 설계되었다. 하루의 스케줄링이 완료된 후 항공기의 변경 및 지연 메시지는 도메인 전문가의 지식을 바탕으로 스케줄링에 반영되어 스케줄이 조정되어야 한다. 동적 재스케줄링(reactive scheduling) 단계는 도메인 전문가의 지식 모델 분석을 통해 사용자 그래픽 인터페이스의 규칙과 시나리오로써 효과적으로 나타내어진다. 항공편의 변경 및 취소로 인해 발생되는 항공기 배치의 조정은 현재 스케줄에 반영되어져야 하기 때문에 이러한 항공기 배치의 조정은 동적 재스케줄링을 위해 메인 프레임으로부터 RACES에게 통보되어져야 하며 부분적인 재스케줄링을 처리하는 것에는 불규칙적인 요소들이 많기 때문에 RACES에 의해 스케줄의 조정이 반 자동적으로 수행된다.

디지털 신기술 교육과정 개발을 위한 역량 정의 (Defining Competency for Developing Digital Technology Curriculum)

  • 인공지능, 빅데이터, 로봇 등의 디지털 신기술 분야의 급격한 성장에 따라 정부와 교육기관들은 신기술 분야에서 요구되는 역량을 갖춘 인재 양성을 위한 교육과정들을 개발하고 있다. 그러나 교육과정 개발 및 운영의 근간이 되는 역량 개념에 대한 정의가 불분명하여 교육과정 개발에 어려움을 빚고 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 신기술 분야의 교육과정을 개발하는데 필요한 역량을 정의하는 것을 연구 목적으로 설정하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 문헌 연구 분석을 통해 기존 문헌에서의 역량 정의와 특성을 파악한다. 이후 신기술 분야 전문가와의 심층 인터뷰 통해 선행연구로부터 도출된 정의에 대한 검증과 추가적인 의견을 수집하고 신기술 교육과정에 적합한 역량 정의를 최종적으로 도출한다. 연구 결과, 신기술 교육과정 개발을 위한 역량은 "주어진 업무를 기대하는 수준에 맞게 효과적으로 수행하기 위해 필요한 지식 및 기술의 집합"으로 정의하였다. 또한 역량의 핵심 구성 요소인 지식 및 기술과 역량의 구성 원리를 도출하였다. 이러한 역량 정의와 특성은 신기술 분야 교육과정을 체계적이고 효과적으로 구성하는 데 기여할 뿐만 아니라, 교육과 실무 간의 격차를 줄이는 데에도 활용될 수 있다. 나아가 본 연구 결과는 지속적으로 새로운 지식과 기술이 축적되는 신기술 분야 기업들의 지식 경영 체계 구축에도 기여할 수 있다.

Multiplier 설정을 통한 무선 전력 전송 용 CMOS 정류 회로 (CMOS Rectifier for Wireless Power Transmission Using Multiplier Configuration)

  • 우리는 MOSFET Layout 단계에서 Multiplier 구성을 통한 Common centroid layout 방식을 사용한 무선 전력 전송 용 CMOS 정류회로를 제안한다. 제안하는 정류회로는 기존의 다이오드를 사용하지 않은 Cross-coupled MOSFET 정류회로로 13.56 MHz에서 동작한다. 전력 소모를 최소화하고, 높은 주파수까지 동작하기 위하여 Full bridge 정류회로에서 효율을 높이기 위한 비교기를 제거하였다. Layout 단계에서 Multiplier 구성을 통한 Common centroid layout 방식은 Chip-layout 상에서 MOSFER의 Finger에 의해 길어진 연결 선로에 존재하는 기생 직렬 저항과 병렬 Capacitor에 의해 발생하는 시간 지연을 줄이기 위해 고안되어, 천이 시간을 줄여 Cross-coupled 구조의 On-상태에서 Off-상태, 혹은 그 반대의 상태 변화를 빠르게 한다. 이는 빠른 상태 변화 시간으로 인해 전력 변환 효율을 증가시킨다. 본 정류회로는 $0.11{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정으로 제작되었으며, 전력 변환 효율은 최대 86.4%로 측정되었으며, 600 MHz 이상까지 높은 전력 변환 효율을 가지며, 이는 현재 발표된 것 중, Cross-coupled 구성을 기반으로 한 정류회로 중 가장 높은 성능을 가진다.

CPS(Cyber Physical System)와 MIS의 연구기회 탐색 (CPS(Cyber Physical System) & Research Opportunities for MIS)

  • Purpose Recently, much attention in building smart factory has dramatically increased with an emergence of the Industry 4.0. As we noted a connectivity gap between main concerns of MIS and the automated manufacturing systems such as POP and MES, it is recommended that CPS (Cyber-Physical System) can be an important building block for the smart factory and enrich the depth of MIS knowledge. Therefore, first, this study attempted to identify the connectivity gap between the traditional field of MIS (ERP, SCM, CRM, etc.) and the automated manufacturing systems, and then recommended CPS as a technical bridge to fill the gap. Secondly, we studied concepts and research trend of CPS that is believed to be a virtual mechanism to manage manufacturing systems in an integrated manner. Finally, we suggested research and educational opportunities in MIS based on the CPS perspectives. Design/methodology/approach Since this paper introduced relatively new idea of CPS originally discussed in the field of engineering, traditional MIS research method such as survey and experiment may not fit well. Therefore this research collected technical cases through literature survey in engineering fields, video clips from Youtube, and field references from various ICT Exhibitions and Conventions. Then we analyzed and reorganized them to highlight the necessity of CPS and draw some insight to share with MIS academia. Findings This paper introduced CPS to bridge the connectivity gap between the traditional MIS and automated manufacturing system (smart factory), a concern far away from the MIS academia. Further, this paper suggested future research subjects of MIS such as developing software to share big production data and systems to support manufacturing decisions, and innovating MIS curricula including smart and intelligent manufacturing technology within the context of traditional enterprise systems.

INTEGRATED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT PLANNING USING 3D INFORMATION MODELS

  • Although the evolution and deployment of information technologies will undoubtedly play an important role in the current construction industry, many engineers are still unsure of the economic value of using these technologies. Especially for the planning of a construction project, a collaboration system to utilize the whole resources is a essential tool for the successful outcome. A detailed, authoritative, and readily accessible information model is needed to enable engineers to make cost-effective decisions among established and innovative plan alternatives. Most engineers rely on limited private experiences when they create solutions or design alternatives. Initial planning is crucial for the success of the construction project. Most construction projects are done through collaboration of engineers who have different specialized knowledge. Information technologies can dramatically enhance the performance of the collaboration. For the information delivery, we need a mediator between engineers. Object-based 3-D models are useful for the communication and decision assistance for the intelligent project design. In this paper, basic guidelines for the 3-D design according to different construction processes are suggested. Adequate interoperability of 3-D objects from any CAD system is essential for the collaboration. Basic architectures of geometry models and their information layer were established to enable interoperability for design checks, estimation and simulation. A typical international project for roadway was chosen for the pilot project. 3-D GIS model was created and bridge information models were created considering several requirements for planning and decision making of the project. From the pilot test, the integrated construction project planning using 3-D information models was discussed and several guidelines were suggested.

SNS 사용자의 이용습관과 감정적 요인 관점에서 기업 SNS 계정의 지속적 사용의도에 관한 연구 (Continuous Use of Corporate SNS Accounts from a Habit and Emotional Perspective)

  • Since social network service (SNS) has been widely used as a effective way for people to connect and communication with each other, the use of corporate SNS account also has increased. However, compared to a private SNS account, only few people have a continuous relationship with their corporate SNS account because the use of corporate SNS account tends to be one-time and temporary activity whenever the users just need events and information. Given the psychological side effects of using SNS, the relative lack of empirical studies on the impacts of emotional factor in SNS prevents the deeper understanding of the intention to continuous using corporate SNS account. Therefore, this study aims to explore key determinants of the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account from a habit and emotional perspective. To bridge research gap, we attempt to divide emotional factor into the following 5 factors based on Mehrabian and Russell model (1974): intimacy, enjoyment (positive factor), privacy concern, anxiety (negative factor), arousal (arousal factor) and (dominant factor). The basic model is proposed to explore the effects of habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. We then examine how the effects of habit and emotional factors differ depending on social media types (e.g., facebook and twitter). The results indicates that habit is related to emotional factors, and each emotional factor differently influences the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. The results also confirm that the effects of the habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account differ according to social media types. This study provides practical and useful guidance and the strategic marketing insight for managers in maintaining and improving the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account.

양주시기중국의학적전업화소고(兩周時期中國醫學的專業化小考) (A Review on the Specialization of Chinese Medicine in Zhou Dynasty)

  • Objective : The main idea of this article is to investigate the specialization of Chinese traditional medicine. The ancient shaman played a bridge role between human beings and supernatural things like ghosts. Even though he didn't have the super power, the ancients believed that he could take care of all kinds of illness. Therefore, it can be said that the medicine of Zhou Dynasty was still under the shamanism although it had already started to be specialized and professionalized. And it was the important role of the ancient shaman of that period that gave patients the shamanistic treatment on the ground of the specialized medical knowledge, which was commonly activated during that time. Method : This article is going to look into the detailed aspects of the specialization of Chinese traditional medicine through the some kinds of written attestations of Zhou Dynasty. Result : The medical knowledge of that time stayed in the early stage, so it was simple and raw. Also it had scientific and unscientific characters in itself at the same time. That's why it could be included in the shamanism; the details can be offered through another article of mine entitled A Research of Shamanistic Medical Activities on Written Attestations in the Zhou Dynasty(兩周時期的醫療巫術), which is being written now. Conclusion : From beginning of the Eastern Zhou period, the medicine gradually got to be specialized. And then the specialized medical treatment and shamanistic medical activities began to be divided as the different two occupations. Searching for various written attestations of that period, we can see lots of records about the specialized medicine treatment such as acupuncture and moxibustion and the medical substances.

적응형 온라인 학습환경에서 학습자 특성 및 AI튜터 추천문항 학습활동의 학업성취도 예측력 탐색 (An Inquiry into Prediction of Learner's Academic Performance through Learner Characteristics and Recommended Items with AI Tutors in Adaptive Learning)

  • Recently, interest in AI tutors is rising as a way to bridge the educational gap in school settings. However, research confirming the effectiveness of AI tutors is lacking. The purpose of this study is to explore how effective learner characteristics and recommended item learning activities are in predicting learner's academic performance in an adaptive online learning environment. This study proposed the hypothesis that learner characteristics (prior knowledge, midterm evaluation) and recommended item learning activities (learning time, correct answer check, incorrect answer correction, satisfaction, correct answer rate) predict academic achievement. In order to verify the hypothesis, the data of 362 learners were analyzed by collecting data from the learning management system (LMS) from the perspective of learning analytics. For data analysis, regression analysis was performed using the regsubset function provided by the leaps package of the R program. The results of analyses showed that prior knowledge, midterm evaluation, correct answer confirmation, incorrect answer correction, and satisfaction had a positive effect on academic performance, but learning time had a negative effect on academic performance. On the other hand, the percentage of correct answers did not have a significant effect on academic performance. The results of this study suggest that recommended item learning activities, which mean behavioral indicators of interaction with AI tutors, are important in the learning process stage to increase academic performance in an adaptive online learning environment.
