SLURP 모형을 이용한 광역적 수문분석 - 소양강댐 유역을 대상으로 - (Regional Hydrological Analysis using SLURP Model - Soyanggang-dam watershed -)

  • This study is to test the applicability of SLURP (Semi-distributed Land Use-based runoff Process) model that is a semi-distributed, continuous hydrologic model developed by Kite (1997). The Soyanggang-dam watershed ($2,694km^2$) was selected. The DEM, land-cover map, monthly NDVI from NOAA/AVHRR and daily meteorological data of 2001 were prepared. By using the parameter optimization technique, SCE-UA (Shuffled Complex Evolution-University of Arizona), the model was calibrated and the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency was 0.73.

Assessment of the potential for the design of marine renewable energy systems

  • The assessment of the potential for the design of marine renewable energy systems is reviewed and the current situation for marine renewable energy is promising. The most studied forms of marine renewable energy are ocean wind energy, ocean wave energy and tidal energy. Wind turbine generators include mostly horizontal axis type and vertical axis type. But also more exotic ideas such as a kite design. Wave energy devices consist of designs converting wave oscillations in electric power via a power take off equipment. Such equipment can take multiple forms to be more efficient. Nevertheless, the technology alone cannot be the only step towards marine renewable energy. Many other steps must be overcome: policy, environment, manpower as well as consumption habits. After reviewing the current conditions of marine renewable energy development, the authors analyzed the key factors for developing a strong marine renewable energy industry and pointed out the huge potential of marine renewable energy.

  • The fuzzy-neural hybrid control system utilizing the fuzzy-neural network(FNN) will be presented in this paper. The basic structure of the controller is the parallel combination of a conventional P-controller and a FNN. Such a combination can guarantee the stability of a plant at initial stage before the rules are completely created. And a method how to automatically tunning the parameters of the FNN will be proposed with error back-propagation(BP) algorithm. Finally the effectiveness of the proposed strategy will be verified by computer simulations using a two DOF robot manipulator.

고공 풍력발전 기술개발 현황 (Technology Development Trends for High Altitude Wind Power Genration)

  • At the altitudes above 3km, the wind is three to four time faster and less variable than at the current MW sized wind turbine hub height of around 100m. In addition, power generation from wind turbines installed on the ground is intermittent because local wind conditions are affected by local topography and artificial structures. The wind energy researchers and engineers are now looking for revolutionary ideas to utilize high altitude wind resources in-creasing the capabilities of wind turbine installations. This article presents and discusses several concepts for wind energy exploitation from wind at high altitudes. The concepts presented in this paper make use of lifting bodies, called wings or kites, connected to a tether that stetches into the higher regions of the atmosphere.

  • The implementation of a insect-based flying microrobot has been previously proposed as using magnetic force. The flying principle of a butterfly is different from that of a airplane, which obtain lifting force above the wings by a air stream with low pressure. Butterflies obtain lifting force below the wings by flapping. They can fly when drag during the down stroke is greater that during the up stroke. The structure of flying microrobot must satisfy these condition. And that must be manufacture lightly and keep balance for rising to the air sufficiently. Moreover the efficiency of an electromagnet is high and the flux density is sustained uniformly and widely Nevertheless these condition is satisfied, the implementation of a flying microrobot is very difficult as the flying microrobot has to fly without guides or sensor. We propose differently a new model il] comparison with that other paper has suggested. This imitates the form of the Korean shield-shaped kite.

  • Ground connection began by experimenting lightning with the use of a kite and it means electric appliances, communication equipments, measuring instruments and so on connecting the Earth in order to flow away overcharged electricity. There are two kinds of earth connection: Power Ground and Signal Ground. Power Ground is for preventing an electric shock and in general there's no current in the connector. However in an accident, there's a quick flow of electricity out to the Earth. Signal Ground is not only for the safety of appliances but also for the safety of equipment operation. This paper is about connection for noise and interference reduce in order to prevent wrong operation and distortion of signal in the electrical appliances which can take place in cable TV.

  • Fuzzy logic rule-based controller has many desirable advantages, which are simple to implement on the real time and need not the information of structure and dynamic characteristics of the system. Thus, nowadays, the scope of the application of the fuzzy logic controller becomes enlarged. But, if the controlled plant is a time-varying and nonlinear system, it is not easy to construct the fuzzy logic rules which usually need the knowledge of an expert. In this paper, an approach in which the logic control rules can be self-organized using genetic algorithm will be proposed and the effectiveness of the proposed method will be verified by computer simulation of the 2 d.o.f. planar robot manipulator.

미국의 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동 선정 책의 현황 분석 (An Analytical Study on the Books Selected in 'One Book, One City' Reading Campaigns in the U.S.A.)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 미국의 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동에서 선정된 책들의 계량적 특성에 나타난 성장과 변화의 현황을 이해하는 것이다. 1998년부터 2013년 6월까지 15년간 미국의회도서관 도서센터 웹사이트의 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동의 주별 및 작가별 리스트에 등록된 2,220개 프로그램 선정 책 1,037종을 중심으로 연도별 선정 분포와 변동 추이를 살펴보았다. 선정 책들의 연도별 프로그램 분포, 선호된 책의 연도별 추이, 'Seattle Reads'와 One Book, One Chicago 같은 선도적 '한 책' 프로젝트들이 책 선정에 미친 영향 등을 살펴보았다. 주요한 발견 내용은 다음과 같다: 첫째, 1,037종 중 2개 이상 '한 책' 프로그램 선정 책은 278종(26.8%)이며, 단 1개 프로그램 선정 책은 759종(73.2%)이다; 둘째, 최다 선정 책은 To Kill a Mockingbird (84개 프로그램), Fahrenheit 451 (53개), The Kite Runner (50개)로 나타났다; 셋째, '한 책' 독서운동의 확산에 따라 개별 '한 책' 프로그램의 독자적 책 선정은 증가하는 추세이다; 넷째, 'Seattle Reads'와 'One Book, One Chicago' 선정 책들의 영향은 점차 축소하는 경향이다.

한중 소화(笑話) 속의 비유표현과 일본소화 속의 미타테(見立て)기법의 비교고찰 (A Comparative Study on the Figurative Representation in Chinese and Korean Comedic Stories and the mitate of Japanese Comedic Stories)

  • 연을 일본어로는 다코(たこ), 즉 문어라고 한다. 그 이유는 일본인들이 연의 꼬리를 보았을 때, 문어의 발을 떠올렸기 때문이다. 그리고 이러한 종류의 연상행위는 일본어로 미타테(見立て)라고 한다. 미타테는 비유와 비슷하지만, 이 두 개념은 웃음을 일으키는 주안점이 약간 다르다. 그리고 한국과 중국의 소화에서의 비유는 90%의 비슷한 점이 웃음을 유발하지만, 일본 소화에서의 미타테는 10%의 비슷하지 않은 점이 웃음을 발생시키는데 있어서 중요한 역할을 한다. 이에 본고에서는 동아시아 소화의 미타테에 대해 살펴보았으며, 다음의 3가지 특징을 알 수 있었다. 첫 번째, 중국과 한국소화의 미타테는 인간의 신체적 약점과 관련되는 경향을 보이는 반면, 일본 소화의 미타테는 인간의 직업이나 기질과 관련되는 경향을 보인다. 두 번째, 동아시아 소화의 미타테는 중국의 언어문자유희에서 온 한자의 파자와 관련이 되는데, 이는 이 지역에서 오랫동안 한자가 쓰여져 왔기 때문이다. 하지만 일본 소화에서 보이는 문자 미타테는 한자와 히라가나, 혹은 가타카나라는 두 개의 서로 이질적인 타입의 문자를 조합하는 형태로도 나타난다. 세 번째, 미타테에는 한자의 착각에 의한 것도 있는데, 이것은 중국과 한국 소화에서 특히 많이 보인다. 아마도 이 패턴은 중국의 3자음 언어문자유희에서 비롯되었을 것이다.

Automatic Flight Path Control of Small Unmanned Aircraft with Delta-wing ICCAS 2004

  • It is known that an aircraft with delta-wings which are attached to the body at a large angle like a kite or a hang glider has a measure of maneuverability and stability. Aircrafts of this kind can fly stably. Even if engine trouble occurs, it will not fall and might be able to land. In this paper, one of the conventional control methods, PID control, is applied to the aircraft with LQ local control block. This is based on an idea that the aircraft flies so stably that the automatic control system might be realized by a simple controller. The proposed PID controller consists of several sub-controllers which are constructed to each system neglecting the interference. In addition, the LQ control is involved as a local loop of the aileron and rudder control in order to increase stability of the attitude when circling. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown through 3D computer simulations and experiments of the flight path control.
