이 연구에서는 White가 제안한 자아 중심 인용 분석을 응용하여 연구 주제에 대한 다층적인 분석을 가능하게 해주는 자아 중심 주제 인용 분석 기법을 제안하였다. 시험적으로 폭소노미에 대한 연구문헌을 Web of Science 데이터베이스로부터 검색한 후 이에 대한 주제 인용 분석을 수행해보았다. 폭소노미 주제에 대한 자아 중심 인용 분석은 자아 문헌 집단 분석, 주제 인용 정체성 분석, 주제 인용 이미지 분석의 세 단계로 나뉘어 수행되었다. 분석 결과 이 연구에서 제안된 자아 중심 주제 인용 분석을 통해서 폭소노미 연구의 내부 지적 구조와 외부 지적 구조를 함께 파악하는 것이 가능함이 확인되었다.

A citation analysis utilizes the relations among citations and is the most popular bibliometric method. This analysis is based on 1) the evaluation by paper, journal and researcher of the research output, 2) the identification of emerging research topics, 3) the production of a map of the intellectual structure of the research domain and 4) various services for academic information. However, this approach has a limitation in that a citation is treated in a very simple manner, even though the purpose of citation can vary greatly. To address this problem, new approaches have been studied that take into account the citation context. This research separates the citations according to the citation functions and tries to conduct an analysis according to the newly classified citations. Furthermore, research on the citation summarization and visualization based on both the citation context and the citation function of the citations was also attempted. However, since there are very few studies related to citation context in South Korea, more research and development is needed in this area. This study analyzes the status of the research in terms of the citation context. For this, we utilized social network analysis methods.

인용분석은 원문헌에서 선행문헌들을 인용하는 현상에 근거하는 정보분석 방법이다. 인용분석과 그 응용에 대해서는 여러가지 잘 알려진 연구가 많이 있다. 이 논문은 이러한 광범위한 응용영역에 대한 검토보다, 인용분석의 사회학적 측면을 설명하고자 한다. 특히, 이 논문은 지식사회학을 연구하는 계량적 방법으로서 인용분석의 유용성을 검토하게 된다. 이를 위해, 인용행태, 인용계수, 영향요인, 인용관계 둥을 파악하는 기본방법들을 기술하였다. 그런 다음 지식사회학의 네가지 응용영역을 구분하여 제시하고 있다: (1) 지식자원의 유통, (2) 지식자원의 평가, (3) 지식공동체의 평가, (4) 지식정책적 활용. 마지막으로 이 논문은 인용분석의 한계와 결점을 인용과 인용분석 그 자체로 나누어 설명하고 있다.

This research uses a new approach to analyze the extent of influence journal papers have on the progress of varied research fields by estimation of subject-based influence on research other than impact factor that relies on citation index. It is initiated with the hypothesis that earlier established citation relations between journal and citing paper, which reveals the research field that contains the highest citation index and hence has received the greatest contribution from a particular journal, would have inconsistent contribution to the research field over the year of journal publication. The target research is primarily 128 journal papers and 4,123 citing papers from Information Systems Research published in the years 2001, 2004, 2007, and 2010. The characteristics of citation history and hallmarks of research field of citing papers were studied and analysis on significant distinction between citing fields based on the year of publication was performed. The analysis results show the order of citation rate to be highest from Computer Science (2,221 cases), Business & Economics (2,191 cases), and Information Science & Library Science (1,901 cases). The citation history of the journal, nonetheless, indicates increase in citation during 2-3 years after the earliest publication till it achieves constant citation. The statistical analysis shows significant variation in citing fields in accordance with the publication year; especially in 2010, journal contribution has increased in the fields of Business & Economics, Operations Research & Management Science, and Health Care Sciences & Services but, however, is reduced in Education & Educational Research and Social Sciences - Other Topics.

인용 및 피인용 구절 분석은 정보 검색 위주의 단순 학술정보 서비스를 고도화시킬 기회를 제공한다. 그렇지만, 대부분의 연구가 커뮤니티, 연구자, 논문 간 인용 지수 중심의 분석에 초점을 맞추고 있어, 인용 구절 분석에 기반한 인용 기반 논문 정보 서비스를 제공하기에는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구는 "딥러닝", "그린에너지", "노령화"라는 세 개의 주제를 대상으로 논문 내 인용 구절 분석을 수행하고, 피인용 논문의 인용 특성을 구조적으로 설명한다. 이를 위해 구글 스칼라를 통해 각 주제에서 가장 많이 인용된 피인용 논문 각 네 편과 모든 인용 논문들을 수집하였으며, 이들을 대상으로 인용 유형 비율 분석과 인용 확산 분석을 수행하는 방식으로 피인용 논문 특성을 파악하고, 정보 서비스에 어떻게 반영할 수 있는지를 논하였다. 본 연구를 기반으로 다양한 인용 분석 연구와 정보 서비스가 개발될 수 있기를 기대한다.

이 연구의 목적은 국내 약학 연구에서 활용되는 주요 학술지를 조사하고 주요 연구 영역을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 한국 약학 분야 연구자의 연구성과물을 대상으로 학술지 인용빈도 분석과 동시인용 분석을 수행하였다. 한국 연구자의 인용 데이터는 SCOPUS와 KSCD로부터 수집하였다. 인용빈도 분석 결과 116종의 핵심 학술지가 파악되었으며 패스파인더 네트워크로 학술지 간 관계를 표현하였다. 학술지 상관행렬에 대한 요인분석을 통해 18개의 연구 영역이 도출되었고 관련 학술지를 함께 제시할 수 있었다.

The academic research performance is often quantitatively measured by means of using citation frequency. The citation frequency-based indicators, such as h-index and impact factor, are commonly used reflecting the citation quality to some extent. However, these frequency-based indicators are usually carried out based on the assumption that all citations are equal. This may lead to biased evaluations in that, the attributes of the citing objects and cited objects are significant. A high-accuracy evaluation method is needed. In this paper, we review various citation quality-based evaluation indicators, and categorize them considering the algorithms being applied. We discuss the pros and cons of these indicators, and compare them from four dimensions. The outcomes will be useful for our further research on distinguishing citation quality.

인용분석은 학자들의 연구실적 평가에 가장 많이 사용되는 방법 중 하나이지만 비평가들은 오늘날의 인용분석 자료와 방법론에 근본적인 문제가 있다고 주장한다. 전통적 인용분석 방식은 인용품질과 인용소음뿐만 아니라 언어, 시간, 문화와 같은 비수치적인 요소들을 고려하지 않아 단순하고 그릇된 평가를 가져올 수 있으며, 적용 범위가 각각 다르고 불완전한 인용 데이터베이스들은 충돌적인 인용분석결과를 초래하기 쉬울 수 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하려면 포괄적인 인용데이터를 다 방면과 다 방식으로 분석하는 새로운 인용분석연구가 필요하다. 본 논문은 Web of Science, Scopus와 Google Scholar를 비교 분석한 연구의 결과를 논의하며 기존의 인용분석 방법의 약점을 극복하기 위해 설계한 CiteSearch라는 프로토타입 시스템을 간략하게 설명한다.

본 논문은 인용분석에 대한 비판적 견해를 살펴봄으로써 인용분석에 대한 미래를 전망하고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 인용분석의 발전과정을 기술의 발전, 도구의 개발, 사회적 환경이라는 측면에서 검토하고, 이러한 발전을 주도하였던 규범이론을 설명하였다. 그리고 미시사회학적 견해에서 제시되었던 인용분석에 대한 비판을 가정의 한계와 데이터의 문제로 구분하여 검토하였다.

최근 들어 다양한 분야에서 딥러닝이 혁신적인 기계학습 기법으로 급속하게 확산되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 딥러닝 연구동향을 분석하기 위해서 자아 중심 주제 인용분석 기법을 변형하여 응용해보았다. 이를 위해 Web of Science에서 'deep learning'으로 탐색하여 검색된 문헌 중 소수의 씨앗 문헌으로부터 인용 관계를 통해 분석 대상 문헌을 확보하는 방법을 시도하였다. 씨앗 문헌을 인용하는 최근 논문들을 딥러닝 분야의 현행 연구를 반영하는 자아 문헌집합으로 설정하였다. 자아 문헌으로부터 빈번히 인용된 선행 연구들은 딥러닝 분야의 연구 주제를 나타내는 인용 정체성 문헌집합으로 설정하였다. 자아 문헌집합에 대해서는 공저 네트워크 분석을 비롯한 정량적 분석을 실시하여 주요 국가와 연구 기관을 파악하였다. 인용 정체성 문헌들에 대해서는 동시인용 분석을 실시하고, 도출된 문헌 군집을 인용하는 주요 키워드인 인용 이미지 키워드를 파악하여 주요 문헌과 주요 연구 주제를 밝혀내었다. 마지막으로 특정 주제에 대한 인용 영향력이 성장하는 추세를 반영하는 인용 성장지수 CGI를 제안하고 측정하여 딥러닝 분야의 선도 연구 주제가 변화하는 동향을 밝혔다.
