The purpose of the present study is 1) to explain major effect models (main, moderating, and mediating) of social support and statistical methods for testing the effect models and 2) to analyze and evaluate the consistency in the use of the effect models and its statistical methods in Korean nursing studies. A total of 57 studies were selected from Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing, Journal of Korean Academic Society of Adult Nursing, Journal of Korean Women's Health Nursing Academic Society, Journal of Fundamentals of Nursing, Journal of Korean Community Nursing, Journal of Korean Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Academic Society, and Journal of Korean Pediatric Nursing Academic Society published in the year of 1990-1999. In results, most studies on social support performed in Korea Nursing Society were about a main effect model. There are few studies on moderating or mediating model of social support. Thus, it was difficult to find research findings how, why, under what conditions social support impacted on health outcomes. Most studies on the moderating or mediating effect model of social support used statistical methods for testing main effect model rather than for testing moderating or mediating effect model. That is, there are inconsistency between effect models of social support and its statistical methods in Korean nursing researches. Therefore, it is recommended to perform studies on moderating or mediating effect model and use appropriate statistical methods.

Gearboxes are often used in the petrochemical and electrical power plants to transmit mechanical power between two branches of a machinery train rotating at different speeds. When the gearboxes are connected with rotors supported by journal bearings, bearing loads vary in magnitude and direction with rotor speed and torque transmitted by the gearboxes. In this study, dynamic characteristics of the system which consists of gearboxes and a rotor supported by journal bearings are investigated analytically and experimentally by employing the polynomial transfer matrix method and modal analysis under different speeds and torque levels. Journal bearing loads due to the transmitted torque are claculated analytically and the stiffness and damping coefficient of the journal bearings are obtained using finite element method. Comparison of the analytical and experimental results shows that the cross coupled stiffness coefficients increase with increasing rotor speed, while the cross coupled damping coefficients decrease. This generates the oil whirl instability in the journal bearings. As the transmitted torque level goes up, the stiffness coefficients of the journal bearing and the first horizontal natural frequency increase. High levels of the transmitted torque produce high bearing stiffness since the contact loads of the mating gear teeth increase. The logarithmic decrement, which is a stability indicator, is shown to decrease with increasing speed and decreasing torque. Thus, at the low torque level, the system become unstable even at the low shaft speed.

In this paper, we saw how high school students have affection mathematical journal writing and how mathematical journal writing affects high school students mathematical attitude we got the conclusion of this research through case study as following; First, through mathematical journal writing, while research participants feel sense of accomplishment, feel buren about exposure of their own ideas. Second. mathematical journal writing makes students. think self-examination and benefits mathematical comprehension process. Third, mathematical journal writing changes students' studying attitude positively and makes students participate actively in class.

Because the performance of a reciprocating compressor in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems is influenced by the lubrication characteristics of sliding components, the lubrication characteristics between the crankshaft and journal bearing have to be researched for the design and the performance improvement of reciprocating compressors. Thus, the proper supply of lubricant for a lubrication between the crankshaft and journal bearing is essential, and an oil path for lubricant supply is installed in the shaft or bearing. However, in order to guarantee the lubrication performance of the journal bearing, it is necessary to design the position of the oil path. Therefore, it is studied to find the optimum position of the oil path by the analysis of the pressure distribution in the journal bearing. The results show that the position of the oil path is significantly influenced by the pressure distribution of the oil film in the journal bearing.

Scholarly journal is the important media of the scholarly communication and the representative noncommercial works which aim the openness and the share of the scholarly information. Recently the concern about the open access movement of the scholarly journal is increasing in Korea. However, the copyright issues are becoming the big obstacle of the open access and the archiving of the scholarly journal paper. This study investigated the copyright dispute examples of the scholarly journal paper and analyzed the present conditions on the copyright possession of 906 scholarly journals registered in Korean Research Foundation. On the basis of the result, the paper proposed the concrete copyright plan for the open access and the archiving of the scholarly journal paper in Korea.

This research investigates the stability analysis for the rotating and the stationary grooved journal bearing. The dynamic coefficients of the journal bearing are calculated by using FEM and the perturbation method. When journal bearing is in whirling motion, the dynamic coefficients have time-varying components as a sine wave due to the reaction force of oil film toward the center of journal even in the steady state. The solutions for the equations of motion can be assumed as the Fourier series expansion. The equations of motion can be rewritten as the linear algebraic equations with respect to the Fourier coefficients. Then, stability of the grooved journal bearing can be calculated by Hill's infinite determinant. The periodic function of dynamic coefficients is derived using Fourier Fast Transform(FFT).The stability of journal bearing is determined as rotating speed increases and the stability of rotating grooved journal bearing is compared and discussed with the stability of stationary grooved journal bearing.

Objectives : Type analysis and comparison among three decades are done on papers published in The Journal of Korean Acupuncture and Moxibustion from the inaugural issue to the last issue of 2013, Vol 30(5). Methods : Journal search engine at 'theacpuncture' and 'kamms' were used. Issues not searched in these two search engines were not included in the analysis. Results : The number of journals in the thirty years of the journal history included 2081 articles. For type analysis of the articles, experiment articles outnumbered other types with 743 papers followed by 564 review articles, 601 clinical articles, and 156 case articles. In comparison among three decades, recent ten years outnumbered the other types with 1060 papers followed by 853 papers in the middle decade and 168 papers at the initial decade. Conclusion : In the thirty years of the journal history, the research has become more actively done in the recent decade.

This research uses a new approach to analyze the extent of influence journal papers have on the progress of varied research fields by estimation of subject-based influence on research other than impact factor that relies on citation index. It is initiated with the hypothesis that earlier established citation relations between journal and citing paper, which reveals the research field that contains the highest citation index and hence has received the greatest contribution from a particular journal, would have inconsistent contribution to the research field over the year of journal publication. The target research is primarily 128 journal papers and 4,123 citing papers from Information Systems Research published in the years 2001, 2004, 2007, and 2010. The characteristics of citation history and hallmarks of research field of citing papers were studied and analysis on significant distinction between citing fields based on the year of publication was performed. The analysis results show the order of citation rate to be highest from Computer Science (2,221 cases), Business & Economics (2,191 cases), and Information Science & Library Science (1,901 cases). The citation history of the journal, nonetheless, indicates increase in citation during 2-3 years after the earliest publication till it achieves constant citation. The statistical analysis shows significant variation in citing fields in accordance with the publication year; especially in 2010, journal contribution has increased in the fields of Business & Economics, Operations Research & Management Science, and Health Care Sciences & Services but, however, is reduced in Education & Educational Research and Social Sciences - Other Topics.

Objective : Academies or societies of Korean Medicine have their journals. Those Journals usually follow guidlines for authors of Journal of KOMS(Korean oriental medical society). However, altough academies or societies of Korean Medicine are branches of KOMS, their guidlines for authors of journal are different form KOMS's. Method : We compared guidlines for authors in academies or societies of Korean Medicine which journals is listed in NRF(National Research Foundation of Korea). Result : They have 78.9% coincidence in guidlines for authors of journal, 68.4% in url adress and 57.9% in both books and chapter. Conclusion : Academies or societies of Korean Medicine might comply with KIOM in guidlines for authors of their journal because they are brabches of KIOM. In addition, these days, scholars try to make journal DB, journal referaence DB, ontology and so on so journals of KIOM and journals of Korean Medicine academies might be agreed especially in guidlines for authors.

The purpose of this study is to select factors that its impact on subscription of the package type e-journal in Korea. In order to accomplish this study, factors to select the package-type electronic journal are discussed through preceded research literatures, and presented the factors for subscription of the package-type electronic journal based on KESLI materials. As a result, ten evaluation categories and thirty-four evaluation factors are selected as e-journal evaluation elements.
