  • Association rule mining searches for interesting relationships among items in a given database. There are three primary quality measures for association rule, support and confidence and lift. In order to improve the efficiency of existing mining algorithms, constraints were applied during the mining process to generate only those association rules that are interesting to users instead of all the association rules. When we create relation rule, we can often find a lot of rules. This can find rule that direct relativity by intervening variable does not exist. In this study we try to discovery an insignificant rule in association rules by intervening variable. Result of this study can understand relativity about rule that is created in relation rule more exactly.

  • Purpose: This study is to analyze the relationship between leadership, empowerment, organizational commitment, and nursing performance. Method: The method of the study is the establishment of the analytical framework of the theoretical model and the hypotheses for the empirical survey, analysis of the data collected by the empirical survey, and the provision of a revised model explaining more clearly the causal relationship between variables. Result: Transformational leadership has greater influence on empowerment and nursing performance than transactional leadership. Self determination and impact of empowerment factors greatly influence on organizational commitment, competence and impact significantly influence on nursing performance, and organizational commitment is closely related to the general nursing affair, the human relationship, and the job as an organizational member. Transactional and transformational leadership, in provision of the revised model by verification of goodness-of-fit of the hypothetical model, affects all parts of nursing performance by intervening competence and self determination of empowerment factors. Especially, transactional leadership directly influences on nursing performance without intervening the empowerment factor. Conclusion: The conclusion of the study is transformational leadership exerts a more positive influence on empowerment, organizational commitment, and nursing performance than transactional leadership.

  • The variable control in the inductive inference for the confirmation and verification when the experimental data are collected is studied by applying the principle of probability inference. The control in engineering experiments is to protect any effect by of intervening variable except primary independent variable on the dependent variable. By the special condition the possibility for developing a phenomenon will be maximized; otherwise, by the extraneous condition the possibility for developing a phenomenon will be minimized. By doing so, the control may provide insurance for the causal relationship between the certain prior event (independent variable) and the post-event (the dependent variable). Some experiments by using both elliptical trainer and tread mill under the variable control are performed in order to find the relations between the energy expenditure, the respiratory exchange ratio (RER), and the heart rate (HR) against the exercise speed.
