This paper introduces an approach to the realization of an ICT-based bridge remote monitoring system that enables real-time monitoring and controlled adjustments for unexpected heavy loads and also for damaging earthquakes or typhoons. In this paper, an integrated bridge remote monitoring system called the "Intelligent Bridge", which consists of a stand-alone monitoring system (SMS) and a web-based Internet monitoring system(IMS), was developed for not only bridge maintenance but also as an application for a para-stressing bridge system. To verify the possibility of controlling the actual structural performance of an "Intelligent Bridge", a model 2-span continuous cable-stayed bridge with adjustable cables was constructed. The experimental results demonstrate that the implemented monitoring system supplies detailed and accurate information about bridge behaviour for further evaluation and diagnosis, and it also opens up prospects for future application of a web-based remote system to actually adjust in-service bridges under field conditions.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to develop and to evaluate a internet-based social support program for the mothers of congenitally abnormal children. The theoretical basis of the study is the moderating effect model of social support theory (Cobb, 1976). Methods: In first phase, an internet support program was developed according to the practical web development stages proposed by Boling and Frick (2002). In the second phase, the internet support program was provided and evaluated to 18 mothers who reared congenitally abnormal children from March to May 2008. Results: In the first stage, demands of the program were collected from interviews of eighteen mothers of congenitally abnormal children of ages one to three. At the same time, literature review and validity of the contents were also examined. In the second stage, the correspondence of the program contents to the social support needed was also examined. In the third and fourth stages, prototype of the social program was prepared in documents and that of computer program was prepared. In the final stage, an internet-based web site was constructed. The social support provided by the web site were composed of informational support, emotional support and appraisal support including bulletin board system and chatting service. After program development, pre-tests and post-test were performed to investigate the effect of the program on maternal confidence and mood. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test. The analysis showed that maternal confidence of post-test was improved than that of pre-test with statistically meaningful figure (Z=-2.54, p<.05). The positive mood of post-test was also improved than that of pre-test and the result was statistically supported (Z=-2.20, p<.05). Conclusion: It is suggestive that the internet based social support programs is accessible and appropriate service to congenitally abnormal children's mother. It is necessary to develop and use the internet based social support programs in public health system.

In order to use an Internet service, it is a general procedure that user subscribes to the service and then registers her or his id(identifier). As Internet has been more widely used, however, user has more and more ids than ever before. In this environments, whenever user uses an Internet service, she or he must authenticate to the service provider, which makes her or him inconvenient. As user's data is scattered and unmanaged on various web sites, user privacy has been revealed more often. This paper specifies e-IDMS which ETRI has been developing to solve such problems. e-IDMS is an Internet ID(IDentity) management system based on ID Federation Mechanism e-IDMS provides ID Federation-based facilities such as composite authentication, Internet SSG, ID information management, privacy protection and interactive query. e-IDMS is used in establishing integrated ill management system for public institutions.

The previous researches about knowledge sharing were proceeded in terms of KMS (Knowledge Management System) in center. However, knowledge sharing is recently applied to Internet space, which is open to every users, as well as KMS, which is qualified for restricted people. For example, some portal sites, such as Naver, the most popular portal in Korea, have virtual spaces to share users' knowledges and it is common that many users use the spaces. Knowledge sharing online, compared with KMS, will be more advanced to promote intention for knowledge sharing because of the character of Internet space that is open to all users. Nevertheless, there are few researches about knowledge sharing in the Internet. Considering this situation, this study is attempted to figure out the factors to promote Internet knowledge sharing, based on social capital theory and self-expression concept. A survey of experienced Internet user and PLS (Partial Least Square) were utilized for analysis. The test of this study reveals that social capital and self-expression are significant factors to influence knowledge sharing intention, and that also personal innovation and self-efficacy are significantly related to the self-expression. However, personal innovation does not have significant impact on social capital. According to the result, self-expression, as well as trust and system itself, has significantly effect on knowledge sharing intention in order to promote knowledge sharing in the Internet.

A web based mail system consists of servers and clients. A server side takes charge of making rail accounts and service, a client side does interfacing with users. In this paper, we designed the mail system with multi-domain facility. Also we implemented both a ussr environment based on the internet explorer and management environment based on the windows server 2000. Using the service engine of rail system, we could provide the user efficiency through responding user absence, automatic mail sorting, verifying receipt and refusing messages, and implemented the rail system which provides the reliable system.

This paper proposes a position estimation of a mobile robot based on USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) and encoder, and development of tele-operation system using Internet. USN used in experiments is based on ZigBee protocol and has location estimation engine which uses RSSI signal to estimate distance between nodes. By distortion the estimated distance using RSSI is not correct, compensation method is needed. We obtained fuzzy model to calculate more accurate distance between nodes and use encoder which is built in robot to estimate accurate position of robot. Based on proposed position estimation method, tele-operation system was developed. We show by experiment that proposed method is more appropriate for estimation of position and remote navigation of mobile robot through Internet.

This paper is a study on the self-powered wireless bus information and disaster information system based on Internet of Things (IoT). The existing bus information system supplies power and communication by cable, which causes a problem of increased installation cost and limited installation site due to cable burial. To solve this problem, a self-powered wireless bus information and disaster information system was proposed. The proposed system provides bus arrival information. Furthermore, in the event of a disaster such as a natural disaster, it can also reduce confusion and damage by notifying the disaster information through the system's speaker. In this study, a self-powered system using a solar module was proposed. As data are transmitted and received through wireless WiFi or LTE, the installation cost can be reduced and the problem of installation location restrictions can be solved.

Internet users are increasingly depending on acquiring and spreading a variety of information from home pages and they are also making use of education systems based on the internet. This study suggests an efficient method to make learners study Chinese Letters with ease and fun through the internet. The detailed methods of attaining Chinese letters Using Edutainment system are divided into 5 elements as follows. Utilizing the transition process of the letters, using games, applying animation and through switching over from Chinese letters to Korean letters and vice versa including making use of the sound of letters and their meanings.
