  • Currently, the nano economy threatens the mass economy. This is based on the internet business models. In the nano business models based on internet, the diversely personalized services are needed. Many researches of the personalization on the web have been studied. The web usage mining using click stream data is a tool for personalization model. In this paper, we propose an internet business model using evolutionary support vector machine and web response survey as a web usage mining. After analyzing click stream data for web usage mining, a personalized service model is constructed in our work. Also, using an approach of web response survey, we improve the performance of the customers' satisfaction. From the experimental results, we verify the performance of proposed model using two data sets from KDD Cup 2000 and our web server.

  • Objectives: This study examined the relationship between oral health symptoms and Internet usage of Korean adolescents for the purpose of identifying problems associated with Internet usage of adolescents and of preparing measures that can raise awareness on the importance of their oral health management. Methods: The data used in this study is from the 2015 Youth Health Behavior Online Survey (YHBOS). Data from all survey participants (n=68,043) were used in the final analysis, using SPSS Ver. 22.0. General linear models were constructed to analyze the relationship between oral health symptoms and Internet usage of adolescents. Results: In the relationship between Internet usage and oral disease symptoms, those who brush less than once a day during weekdays and weekend tended to use Internet at the highest levels: 72.5%, 78.3% (p<0.001). The following variables were found to be related with spending longer time at Internet: male students (p<0.001), students in lower grades (p<0.001), students with lower performance (p<0.001), and those from families of lower economic level (p<0.001). Moreover, those who brush their teeth less than once a day and those who experienced oral disease symptoms, such as pain during chewing, throbbing and shooting pain, and bad breath in the past year spent longer time at Internet. Conclusions: The above findings show that Internet usage and demographic characteristics of the adolescents are associated with their oral health management. Therefore, guidance and interventions are needed for adolescents with problematic Internet use, while continued education is also needed to raise awareness about the importance of oral health management during adolescence.

  • In this paper, we propose a poll system on the interned. This poll system makes use of APM which are useful in web and PC using for a server. These tools are all free to obtain, so we can construct this system with the minimum computing environment and the minimum cost. We mention merits and demerits about interned survey and propose how to overcome using this system, and utilize web log data to get an additional information of panel. Finally, we suggest extensibilities of internet survey and the proposed system

  • The study suggests the possibility of using internet of things for a dietary intake survey. The development scenario of the dietary intake survey was composed of a weighing sensor for measuring food weight, bluetooth module for communicating through smart-phones, and smart-phone application. The weighing sensor attached to the bottom of utensils was designed to measure the weight of initial food & food eaten, and the results were transmitted to the smart-phone through the bluetooth module. The exclusive application in the smart-phone displayed the results of the amount of food intake, calorie intake, and eating rate. Through this system, subjects could continuously monitor their dietary intake & eating rate and recognize their actual eating environment, which leads to prevent overconsumption of food intake & form balanced eating habits. Based on this system, we need to consolidate and develop a weight control program.

  • Objectives: To investigate the association of problematic Internet use with oral health behaviors and oral health status in a nationally representative sample of Korean adolescents. Methods: Data from the 2010 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey (73238 Korean adolescents; mean age $15.06{\pm}1.75years$; age range, 12-18 years) were used. Problematic Internet use was measured using the Korean Internet Addiction Proneness Scale for Youth-Short Form. Self-report questionnaires were used to assess oral health behaviors and oral health status of adolescents. Results: Problematic Internet users were less likely to brush their teeth frequently [adjusted odds ratio (AOR)=0.59; 95% confidence interval (CI)=0.56-0.63] and at school after lunch (AOR=0.89; 95% CI=0.83-0.94) as well as more likely to perceive their oral health to be poorer (AOR=1.63, 95% CI=1.54-1.72) and experience oral symptoms (AOR=1.75, 95% CI=1.65-1.86) compared to usual Internet users. Conclusion: The study results indicate that problematic Internet use may adversely affect the oral health of Korean adolescents. Thus, oral health screening and Internet-based education are needed for adolescents experiencing problematic Internet use.
